I have written to them. I have called them at least 15 times to hear, no one to help on recording and then hang up. I have tried all other suggested numbers - I was due my pension in Dec, having it put off by 7 years - now, not to have anything, retired with nothing after working and paying for the past 45 years. No response, even writing to them - no email available either.

They don't answer phone calls quickly. You can try in the morning.

I have tried for 4 days this week plus 3 days last week to.speak to someone regarding my Winter Fuel Payment. I have not received a letter which I usually get advising me of the amount coming into my Bank. I think even in the difficult time we are in that I cannot get to speak to an adviser!!! It is continuous all through the day. Companies have provided a call back service. I have in the last few months been in a wheelchair after several spinal operations have failed. I am stuck in doors. I cannot believe that I have not been able to get to speak to anyone. Can this service be inproved? Christina Bloomfield.

Been trying to get through for two weeks to find out information about an apparent debt I owe. Everytime I get through the lengthy automated process it hangs up. Kind of hard to set up a payment when you don't bloody answer.

The staff is not compassionate towards the customers. Speaking politely won't hurt you.

I've rang and rang and rang, no answer. They are probably all shirking from home watching the films on Netflix. I had to contact Age UK and even my MP and the matter is still not resolved. It's outrageous.Imagine this carry on in the private sector.

Worst government body in existence hugely discriminatory against disabled people and cold hearted. Any time to deal with this department huge waiting times and they treat you like trash. I can only hope it gets shut down and those working there have to go to the job centres and apply for universal credit. Then some ironic understanding may be achieved.

I’ve read many comments on here and have to say I experienced the complete opposite of most. I spent ages trawling through their, dreadful, website so gave up and phoned the number given. ~4 minutes and I spoke to Michelle in Burnley who explained everything I needed to know. I’d suggest phoning 08.00 to get through promptly - even though the recorded message says ‘we are experiencing a high volume of calls at this time’ because they were not! Good Luck.

They take longer than 45 minutes to answer the phone, whenever you call. Don't ever ring them. If you complain they act as though there's nothing wrong with that. The people answering the phones are friendly and helpful but the place is obviously seriously understaffed and the political chiefs won't fix that because they think unemployed people are dirt.

I have been trying to contact this service for over a week now with no luck at all. They put you on hold for ever and then the line just cuts off after a while. Don't hold your breath...Totally useless????????‍♀️

Without notification or inteligent equation they paid me 94.74 for the month. And they have reduced my bi weekly payment to 94.74. Hung up on twice this month. I thought you had to be notified b4 they can do this. Now with basic milk hot bread until thurs. When i went to cwmbran Office told by manager steve williams. Had to speak to him inreception very embrassing whilst .Adamant its correct because its on the screen.but cant justify it

Google WASPI campaign....It is being fought as we speak...Several debates in chambers in Parliament..re the plight of the women born in the 1950's who have been cheated in this way...There is now being prepared a legal challenge based on the maladministration of the process, where there was a clear failure to notify thousands of women of the changes and a lack of sufficient warning to allow the women to try to change their plans and make other provision for themselves. TM actually falls into that age range, but of course doesn't feel the pinch...Have emailed her office but they refuse to acknowledge that there is a problem. Not an honest reply, from someone from a supposedly respectable Christian background. This has been handled badly and these women need this to be corrected with some compensation for the distress caused.

My wife is supporting a friend who has just had a full liver transplant and been sent home with no support and two children to care for. She had to go back in Hospital on Friday, with severe pains. I was asked to advise works & pensions of her present situation, but without security questions, they were not prepared to just take information. I was not asking for anything. At least we tried.

Ridiculous and soul destroying waiting times. You have to set half a day aside to call, been in a queue for over an hour now and still waiting....

I want to give the DWP zero stars. I have been on hold on the phone for nearly an hour. I work for a homeless charity, many of my clients have learning difficulties and mental health issues and its pertinent that I process enquiries for my clients efficiently to deal with the demands of the service. This is the type of service that is contributing to deaths.

Very rude and unprofessional experience I had with this lot. Was trying to see if my mother was eligible for some service charge support as she’s a pensioner. And was put through to this man that wouldn’t even let me speak. Every time I tried to explain that she’s was meant to have been idoc he kept talking over me, and threatened to hang up. He eventually did without me being able to get a sentence in. I was very calm throughout, but once he hung up I totally lost my rag. I understand it was a busy period for them that day and apparently their systems were down in the morning. But it was glearingly obvious he just wanted to get rid of me without any excuse. Terrible customer service. People work their whole lives paying taxes, then when they retire and reach pensioner age they have to put up with this type of service. Disgraceful

Complicit in violations to the human rights of disabled people in the UK, as verified by a report released by UN's Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, and also any disabled person who has ever tried to claim the benefits they are legally entitled to. Wankers.

I have found majority of those working for this public service department and in particular Job Center Plus terribly arrogant, hostile and rude. They show no understanding and empathy knowing that most of those who have to depend on the service of this poor organisation have to this and need help and understanding. It is such a disgrace and it seems they have actually been trained to be difficult and intimidating with people so they just give up and not try to use the service that they are entitled to a s a citizen.

They finally answered my call but the operator had such a strong (Indian?) accent I could barely understand her and because she had such a lousy headset she could not hear me properly. Horrible, stroppy attitude. She then hung up on me. A truly terrible service given that we pay them.

I had to rate it to publish! This is not a rating I would otherwise have made. There is no minus sign! 22 days ago you stopped my ESA, said I was fit for work....this despite a letter from my doctor stating the opposite in a letter. I cannot sign for JSA, I am not fit for work. I cannot get Hardship Allowance, as I'm no longer in receipt of benefit. 1st world Country, 3rd rate Government!

My mother was rejected her ESA payments and was deemed to be fit for work - baring in mind she had an operation two weeks prior to this medical assessment the work and pensions people organised. We had to go despite her being in severe pain (she suffers from long term back problems alongside other medical conditions). I waited on the phone for 23mins before anyone picked up and came across a member of staff that was not only rude but unhelpful. They were supposed to send me a letter regarding an appeal decision, it's been over 2 weeks...

Thanks dwp for disallowing my pip twice Eventhough I received dla high rate for 4 years. And I'm in ESA support group until October 2017. I have severe and debilitating conditions and you stated in letters that I'm fine and have no difficulties at all.

Great how the DWP numpties are unable to read and comprehend new JSA claimants forms in respect of part-time students (attending 2 hours per week at college) ends up them "stopping" my JSA payments. Also, their crap work programme is not a fit for all as I have my own business set up and Alloa Job centre staff did not adhere to the NEA procedure last year...!!!! That is a complete waste of time as the Triage staff in Stirling CANNOT ASSIST ME and I have to compulsory attend their office only to sit for a few minutes then sign a form for petrol money aaaargh! WAKE UP PLEASE. NOT everyone who is unemployed wants to be and this way to force claimants to waste their time and the taxpayer's funds is totally ridiculous. The government is so neolithic in it's attitude and computer systems have totally inept programmers courtesy of the government. Stop bullying people who are doing their best to obtain employment. I would do your job gladly any day. Very disgruntled person.

well all i can say is, these people who work for DWP are very rude! Millions of people who can't work because they are unable to and then they get a letter saying that they are fit enough to work!! sorry but this is wrong on many levels, who do they think they are!!

Most unhelpful when ever you ring up, they only speak to the person on the letter even though I'm the child's Father, Tax credits have both parents on the letter and will speak to either. The stress they put you through is awful especially when you have two severely autistic children
