It is the most worse experience I have ever had with them. They are unfriendly and very rude to people starting from the dor entering to the main officers I wish no one ends up going there or working there Bc it’s. A disaster

there are employees within delivery deliveroo practicing crimes accepting registration of illegal persons with false documents for a cost of 400 pounds, there are even under 17s registering easily presenting false full driving license eu and uk. it's too big it's magic that there are people advertising rent accounts that were opened this way with a chip and a phone with the App deliveroo on social network Facebook for 200 pounds monthly or 50 pounds a week, there are people with more than 8 accounts open to rent and up to a bike available for 80 pounds a week including maintenance of the bike and no worries about a lot of traffic for parking in a prohibited place or fast speed because the bike is registered in the name of unknown or fake people, insurance is paid directly by the minor 18 years to 16 years illegal from Brazil. The establishments that have a partnership for drivers to stick to meals do not check the data and photo of the child under 17 years of age, which facilitates the practice of the magic of these people within the mafia. The practice is great that I went directly to the person responsible for the deliveroo in the EC4R 3TE, but the security guard of the lost person did not accept to talk to me, saying that I would speak to the police showing power over the friendly employees of the company.

I need to talk to someone, the answer to my query is not on the website. After half an hour of pressing option 2, taking numbers and redialling and otherwise negotiating the labyrinthine telephone system, I thought I was finally getting somewhere, but no. “For advice on ....... please go to the website. Goodbye.” Aaaaaaaagh. This is worse than torture.

The Home Office Website states: “The first duty of the government is to keep citizens safe and the country secure.” Theresa May has the dual distinction of being Britain’s longest serving Home Secretary from 12 May 2010 to 13 July 2016 and arguably the most inept holder of this high office of state too. The Police Federation Conference in 2015 warned May of dire consequences if she implemented massive nationwide police cuts of 20,000 serving officers and 18,000 Police Support Staff. Her response was to arrogantly ignore senior police officers and carry on with her policy regardless of consequence. The spineless, anonymous senior civil servants within The Home Office are equally culpable for allowing this to happen unopposed on their watch. The result: violent crime and homicide is at a post war high with the majority of nonviolent crimes such as burglary and car theft no longer being investigated; just merely logged with a Crime Reference Number given. The police are now reduced to a reactive service rather than the previously proactive force. Consequently, they have lost control of the streets and their abilities to protect the public.

I went there October ILR but did not have my marriage certificate translated. The lady told me of some places and I used translationscertified.uk for quick and cheap service. I made another appointment for 1 week later and my documents were good. Staff was very nice and helpful. Later they emailed me and my visa was granted! I don't know why people don't like this place, it is very good if you have your things in order. Picture is of the cheap certified translation place.

I don't hate the place. Never been in there. I just photographed it one evening when I popped into the local Sainsbury's. A huge building on the corner. Takes up two blocks. Junction of Horseferry Road and Marsham Street, SW1.

I just want to inform everyone that I applied for indefinite leave remain application which was premium service so my case didn't happen on that day so the next day they sent my documents with a letter where there was written that it's not a case type and shouldn't be submitted in here(home office) so they said we retain £163 for applicant fee and the other refund we send to your account in 10 working days but I haven't received yet which took more than 7 weeks. So they are lier and never help you and they captured my remaining fee refund.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. The process is was easy and made sense. When I was missing some bank statements staff were happy for me to go to the near by bank and print things then return.

The home of typical policing ACROSS the board where power corrupts and they're corrupted by power. We often think of police corruption as bribes being taken BUT not doing their job properly is the most common corruption they practice. As for 'losing' evidence this is also an extremely common practice ESPECIALLY and PARTICULARLY when it shows them in a bad light or completely contradicts their version of events and not just in rape cases. Look at Hillsborough and the cover up there. THEY'RE NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE

If all the employees working there got stripped of their British passport and handed a third country passport I bet you NONE of them would qualify for British citizenship

20 working days to respond to a request of simply sending a certificate from one council to another. A FULL month to send an email from one department to another. I think this is the longest time out of any organisation in the UK. Even very large privately owned companies usually have an SLA of 3 - 5 working days. An embarrassment to the UK and, sincerely, an example of 3rd world service. I must make it clear this was not an application for any visa or anything. I needed a certificate for something which had already been approved sent from one place to another. Disgusting.

Total time wasting and ripping off. Misleading home office website .... total confused. When you follow what the procedure on home Office website is a nightmare, website mention don’t provide any photo unless they ask, but then refuse the application by the reason of without provide them photo!!!!!!! NO APPLICATION FEE refund at all even when you follow their website procedures!!!!! Website mention home Office will contact me if need more documentation, but then refuses application for without provide them they documentation?!?! They didn’t even contact or inform they require such documentation, but then they just refuse my partner application WITHOUT application fee refund!!!!! It’s just not right at all, they refuse your application even you follow the procedures on their website !!!!! CAN’T see the point of having their website which didn’t listing everything properly and misleading information , and then still charge the application fee for their misleading website!!!!!! This is why Tax payer aren’t happy the government because they are totally wasting our tax payers hard earn cash and time. Very disappointed, hope you’ll have your karma in your future and so on.

We went through something similar, I am a Brit, I married my wife who is a non EU when I was working in Europe (for close to 4 years) on our return we went through the same process, made our application. 6 months passed, we called for an update. 1 week later a letter came rejecting our application. This is where is gets silly. During the application, I provide self addressed & recorded delivery envelopes for them to return to us. In the rejection letter they tell us our documents were sent back to us 3 months earlier, but the address they mention is incorrect (number and post code) Why did they choose to prepare their own envelopes with the wrong address???? not sure, but this got us very worried because the rejection letter said that my wife should leave the country within 8 days of the date of the letter, which was 3 months previous. we contacted a lawyer, made an appeal at expense, a week later our original documents arrive in the original envelopes I provided! We went to court, the judge apologised for the nonsense and expense we had gone through, the home office representative apologised, we received a letter a few weeks later with the judges decision. This was back in May, 3 months have passed and still absolutely nothing and I am most concerned that history may repeat itself. completely incompetent. Also during this time my wife has been rejected from two jobs for not having a NI.

Why is contacting the office so ridiculously difficult ? There's no direct person to talk to . It's been 8 weeks since I arrived in the uk and still have not got my BRP and the contact services are terrible . There is no reply to repeated mails and automated phone calls that don't serve the purpose of the call .Must be rectified !

Home office took two payments of £1875 from my account. It is alot of money and I am rightfully due a refund. I have wrote a letter called them and emailed their conplaints. I still have no answer. That is such poor service. So quick to charge people and rob them at the same time. Its left me in such afinancial dilemma for a hard working individual who doesnt earn so much money!

After walking to this building from Trafalger Square, only to find, it's now a set of office blocks and is no longer in operation as a branch of the home office. I was very annoyed, that as a government body, it has not been updated on the internet. Extremely unprofessional for the UK and embarrassing. The receptionist said they've been trying to get in touch with them for ages to update it.

The Home Office Premium Visa Service: While things didn't exactly go my way, I have to say a big wow! Not only is the place clean and a pleasant place to visit, I was treated like a human being, by a huge team of very polite and human people. The entire system runs with clockwork precision, from the door, through security, through reception, the queuing system, administration, biometrics and case files, etc. The consulting team (if there was one) who invented this system, need to be applauded for such attention to detail. As for crowd management, there was no crowd. Everything was civil and civilised. There are a lot of visa offices around the world, who could benefit from such a makeover. I enjoyed the waiting room with the kids' playroom, TV and coffee shop. A genuinely pleasant experience. The lady serving coffee, was a delight, and brightened up my day. The skylight above the coffee, looks like it was done by a RIBA architect, and reminded me of the British Museum. It brightened up the place. As for the people, every single person I encountered in this building was lovely. It was staggering. Even the chap who dealt with the line tickets was pleasant, and I imagine this to be a very frustrating job. It's funny how expectation can sway impression. I was expecting to be visiting a place akin to Mordor after the online payment experience (ended up making two NHS payments) however, I had a pleasant experience and felt comfortable here.
