After being sent 2 different appointments, I was told I was suitable for treatment, booked for a scan and another appointment for the next week. After the scan, I returned expecting the implant. Instead he simply said I was suitable for treatment, that I did not need a further CT scan and that I could be booked in for an implant. I was booked for the extraction and implant 6 weeks later. 3 days before my implant I received a message saying I needed a CT scan – despite being told that it wasn’t necessary. 4 hours before my appointment they called telling me that I couldn’t have the implant as I now needed a bone graft. I spoke to Nicola Burgess but as with other reviewers, she started screaming at me down the phone, saying it was my fault for not having had a CT scan. When I asked her why the dentist said I didn’t need one and why, if all patients have one, did they not book me in for one, she kept shouting over me. I was given no pre-information prior to the surgery telling me if I should avoid any medication or whether or not I should eat. The extraction of my tooth was, in the words of the dentist ‘traumatic’. The bone graft surgery was indescribably brutal. I could feel and see thick thread pulling hard against my lips as I was stitched up. At the same time the dental nurse kept pushing the suction tube so far back I kept gagging. After the surgery I was given no post-treatment guidance to take away. I was given a prescription for 4 items including anti-biotics and steroids. I asked where there was an open pharmacy (it was almost 7pm) and told ‘round the corner’. I had more appointments for check-ups that took me into the following year. I would book 9am appointments but no-one would be at the surgery. My gum was opened up a further three times and not once was I given information before the appointment about what would happen or what I needed to do or avoid doing prior. In Nov 2017 I was given pre-surgery information 4 minutes before I went in. It contained information I should have had in advance and information I needed afterwards. I annotated to show I had only just received it 4 minutes before) they took it away from me so I still didn’t get the post-surgery care information. That form stated that I should have been accompanied and I was not. I had the impressions taken for the crown in on February 7th. It takes two weeks for the crown to be made but they made an appointment for 3 weeks later due to the snow. The appointment was postponed repeatedly . On 16 March I received the following email (copied directly): “Unfortuatly we will need to cancel your next appointment on Saturday 3rd Febuary 2018 @ 11.30 , We have avalibility on Friday 2nd January 2018 6pm where we can move your appointment.” After chasing repeatedly I was given an appointment on 25 April. They twice tried to get me to sign a form saying I was happy with the final results even though I had yet to go into the treatment room. At the appointment my gum had to be opened up again. The receptionist came into the treatment room to act as the dental nurse. She didn't wash her hands or use gloves before handling the injection or scalpel & kept giggling whilst leaning over my face. The dentist had to keep repeating instructions, as she didn't know what she was doing. Again I got no post –treatment information.My gum was painful and so I went to my regular dentist who showed me how to clean the area and what to buy. Complaint handling was shocking. Burgess claimed that I had signed a consent form at their surgery they day before my bone graft which is impossible as they only said I needed one 4 hours before and I was not at their surgery the day before. The implant took 11 months and is a shade darker than my teeth. I was offered compensation if I agreed not to write a review of my experience but I thought it better that others were aware of the risks of using Prodental. They refused to respond to repeated Data Subject Access requests from me or from the Information Commissioner and so this now has to go through the courts.

Absolutely disgusted with this dental surgery. I came to pro dental because of an add I saw via fab offering £1000 off braces which would have in total cost me £2500. Once I arrived I had a feeling that my daughter was being over prescribed and that this was going to be a lot more money then I originally thought and as expected I was correct more then double what I thought. So they get u into the door with a misleading add. I have since had 2 separate orthodontists look at my child and both have confirmed that the operation this dentist told me she needed she actually dosent atall. The dentist actually scared my child half to death by going onto google and showing her pics of ppl with deformed faces and told her she could end up like this if she doesn’t wear a head brace. Can u imagine telling a 15 year old girl that for 16 hours a day she may have to wear a full facial brace or be deformed. Plus to think that this women would have put my daughter through and operation that she didn’t need for the sake of money is unbelievable. Thankfully to the kind work of two separate orthodontists my daughter is now ok and has stopped worrying about being deformed. She totally over prescribed my daughter for money, you need to remove your fb add as it’s mislaeding and wrong. Do not come to this dentist unless your rich and don’t mind paying for things that u do not need.

I had a full dental implant treatment for one of my missing teeth and the whole treatment went very well with no stress. I found the clinical staff especially Nichola to be very friendly, professional and accommodating. I've been with this practice for just over a year now, and have to say the team are amazing. I went for the 6 Months Smile treatment but due to the difficulties with my teeth, it did take a bit longer but that didn't matter to me as it was all about the end result, I have nothing but praise for the treatment received. I first contacted Prodental in May 2017. I booked an appointment and was sent emails with two different appointments – one of the many examples of their shockingly poor administration, which unfortunately is putting patients at risk. I had my first appoint and was told I was suitable for treatment. I was booked in for a scan and another appointment with the dentist for the following week. I had the scan and returned to dentist expecting treatment to start. Instead he took a look at my scan, said I was suitable for treatment based on my results, that I did not need a further CT scan and that I could be booked in for an implant. I was in and out of the treatment room in about a minute. I was then booked in the extraction and implant six weeks later. 3 days before my implant I received a voicemail saying I needed a CT scan – despite previously being told that it wasn’t necessary. I had to take time off at short notice for the scan – and was also charged more than I was quoted for the scan. 4 hours before my appointment I received a call from Prodental telling me that I couldn’t have the implant at the appointment because I now needed a bone graft. I spoke to the practice manager Nicola Burgess to try and understand what was going on. Like other reviewers of this surgery have experienced, she started shouting at me down the phone, saying it was my fault for not having had a CT scan insisting that all implant patients have one. When I asked her why the dentist said I didn’t need one and why, if all patients have one, did they not book me in for one, she kept shouting over me. She was extremely aggressive. I had a bad experience here. Was made to wait over 45mins after my scheduled cleaning appointment. The cleaning itself only took 10mins and was not up to standard. I expected more from a Harley Street dental clinic that charges comparable rates to others in the area. Will not be returning and would not recommend this place to anyone.

I am disappointed with the out come of invisaline. Although my teeth are better than they were to start with, they are not perfect. My upper teeth are not aligned with my midline, they shift more to the left. After paying alot of money for the service I'd expect perfect. I feel like my appointments were always rushed. And I never had the same dentist. I don't recommend this place to anyone.

I’ve been a patient here for over a year now and I couldn’t possibly overstate how absolutely fantastic the staff here are. I’m normally really nervous about the Dentist because of a previous bad experience but the ladies and gents at this practice are just the nicest, friendliest, most professional and welcoming group. I originally made an appointment to discuss Invisalign braces but during the consultation the orthodontist recommended clarity braces instead to close my open bite which isn’t possible with Invisalign. I went with the recommended clarity braces even though I had some reservations and now I’m really delighted I followed the advice I was given because my teeth look amazing! So happy with the service provided that I have recommended this practice to everyone I know and will continue to do so. I’ve met with several orthodontists at the practice since I began my treatment and while they were all nice, friendly and professional I have to give special recommendation to Bhavnita who took care of me about 90% of the time. She’s the loveliest, friendliest most patient person, genuinely if I was to have a wish list of the type of person my dentist would be Bhavnita would surpass and exceed all expectations of that list. Thanks so much to everyone at prodental, I actually look forward to visiting the dentist now!

In full disclosure I did purchase a Groupon for the orthodontic services although that shouldn't have made a difference. The clinic is dangerous to access via steep stairs and the reception is dirty. It's not what you would expect for a Harley Street clinic. There were lots of hidden costs with my treatment and after six-months of the orthodontic treatment my teeth were still not perfect. The orthodontist/dentist needed an attitude adjustment and I just left feeling angry every four weeks for six-months.

The only reason I presume this place has so many 5 star reviews is because they have an offer where if you give them a 5 star review they'll give you money off your next treatment. Real honest. Suffice to say my own experience with this clinic has not been a five star experience. It's really hard to believe that this is a Harley street clinic in central London, you'd never believe it from the way they act. I rang them once (while at the train station) when I was running 15 mins late as a courtesy and was told that the dentist wouldn't see me as she needed to go to her class on time but they had no problem making me wait past my appointment time for subsequent appointments. I rang once and asked the receptionist, Lisa, to ask the dentist something on my behalf. She promised me she'd ring back. I even rang back myself and was told she would ring back. Did she? Of course not. The dentist I saw, Deborra Pardo Guitarez, is not great either. During the course of my treatment, I developed an excruciating pain in one of my teeth and booked an appointment to see her. She filed the tooth in question, at least I think that's what she did as she didn't tell me, and asked me if I felt "relief" despite me telling her that I only felt the pain when something cold touched it. I said to her that I thought it might be a problem with the gum or a cavity and she just scoffed and said "no." I went back home and the excruciating pain was still there, so had to make another appointment the very next day where she actually took time to look at the area and guess what, it was actually a problem with the gum, it needed to be cleaned better. So it basically took her two appointments to diagnose what she should have done in one. Not to mention other things like leaving a wire too long so that it dug into the side of my mouth and I had to make another appointment for her to cut it to the right length. Also be aware that they promise things but won't carry them through. The treatment that I paid for included a teeth whitening kit. I had my braces out on 31st July and reminded the receptionist, Lisa, that when I came to pick up my retainers on Thursday 3rd August, I should also get the teeth whitening kit. Thursday came and of course they didn't have it. I gave her the address that it should be sent to in England. It's now been 10 days and it still hasn't arrived and I've had to ring them from another country to chase it up. Perhaps if Lisa spent less time looking at clothes websites at work and actually focusing on her job, customers might actually get what they've paid for. If you want to be seen by a competent dentist, have excellent customer service and get your money's worth then avoid this place at all costs.
