The men and women that work here are professional and kind. This department is a family of the bold and has a wonderful Explorer program. If I were to be a cop in California this is the department I'd work for. God bless NPD!

Great explorer program! I was invited to a PT meeting and detective bloom was the instructor. Had a blast and plan on attending every week. Would defiantly recommend if you plan on law enforcement as a career in the future.

I called the police to help my fiancé and I would not recommend they put her in a facility that didn’t help her at all and they lied about the situation saying it wouldn’t cost us any money but the whole time they would ask for her insurance if you need help don’t count on the Newark police.

Rude, unhelpful, and smug. A bunch of thugs who traded their humanity for medical and a shot at a pension. 3 different officers butted in at different times during my conversation with the clerk, none with a shred of politeness or empathy despite the serious nature of my problem. I harmed no one, was completely polite and composed, yet I was treated like a convict.
Fremont police are right down the road, go learn from them how real professionals serve their community you feckless gangsters.
