Called the station at 1230pm 3-3-2020 and told them I want to file a report against my child's father for violating a custody order and they said they would send someone to my location and its 530pm now, waited all day, I'm pregnant and need to get home to eat healthier food and fast food all day. I'm absolutely disgusted by the officers who are taking there sweet time. I get theres crime happening here but it take 5 minutes to file a report and then boom, back to saving the city.

I went to the San Bernardino Police Department today 02/03/20. I moved to an area where I need a street parking permit and they didn’t want it to give it to me because I live in an Apartment. I am a good citizen I pay my taxes every year, pay my rent, gas, electricity, water bills. I’m not breaking any law. I only asked for one parking permit for myself, she said she couldn’t give it to me. This is absurd, I’m trying to be a good citizen but they push you to break the law, now I’m going to get parking tickets every day for parking in front of the house I’m paying money to live. I even show them my bills and nothing. Life is hard already, don’t make our lives worse when we want to be good people!

I understand that other calls are priority, but when I call for a trespassing (I work as a security officer) and the trespasser becomes violent which forces me to call 911, I would expect an officer to arrive in a timely manner. Seriously, vigilante justice should be a thing. Probably better than calling the police.

Thank you very much for your assistance tonight. The 2 officers were very polite and very helpfull. I have had the officers out to our building 4 times now. Every time they have been helpfull. I do appreciate the help that you are giving to our community .

I called to report homeless activity and the woman said they cannot do anything about it. They cannot force them to go into shelter etc etc. Should they not be guardians of people who can't defend themselves against people who just do what they want and spread disease especially now that there is a pandemic going on

Take their time to arrive at a scene and don’t help the victims because we don’t seem to be important enough.

I thought for a min our SB cops weren't all that bad.. come to realize they are ... footage and a call for help.. and you guys throw us at the bottom of your list because it's not life threatening.. all your people to one scene.. just goes to show how the system is flawed in the police department..makes you want to handle everything on your own.. then you guys will show up.. -__-

Always arrive when I call for a complaint. They're always very respectful and understanding. Though I need more servalience on my street, with sketchy people living around. Thank you Officers for the great work you do and I know it's not easy.

I went to an event in San Bernardino. While waiting in line to this event I was attacked by a woman repeatedly punching me in my head with her cell phone her boyfriend had spit in my face. I called the police and followed the person. The police ended up coming to the event I met the police and they told me that I should never call the police unless I'm bleeding and that it was a minor. I had bruises on my head for weeks. never will I step foot in San Bernardino again. no help from the officers. Extremely dangerous place if police allow this to happen.

If I could give them 0 stars I would. How dare they abuse an inocente man and take the money that he worked for. The money that he earned with his hard work. In no way is this aceptable. The police are supposed to be here to protect not to harm, and this is exactly what they did. Get it together!

I was walking down the street , and pulled a knife out on after a fight over nothing at all ..smh and the lady was clearly high on crack or something .. contacted property manager and was told she’s never allowed there again ... A day later , all tires were slashed. After replacing all tires and having to suffer , I heard a huge pop and ran outside . the girl just got done stabbing my tire again and looked at me and ran off and dropped the knife . I found the knife , finally find out who this was ... and after a week of torture ...contacted the police. I had evidence ! At 9:30pm They didn’t reach me until 1:30am and told me there’s nothing they can do. So you telling me I’ve got the weapon , I’ve got pictures , names.. witnesses ...threatened to be stabbed...my property damaged .. and you can’t do anything ? I appreciate your work in San Bernardino I suppose although it’s a complete shitshow .... But at least give me options or transfer me to someone else. I believe everyone out here should carry. It’s a safer alternative . You are on your own.

Called the non emergency line to make a domestic violence police report. The first time I called dispatch hung up on me so I called back and the dispatch woman who answered was very rude, talking over me and yelling then said I'll send someone out don't know if it would be today though since its not an emergency, there is a sweet baby involved so they should take it seriously and not like ita a game. This police station needs better employees who actually care about there citizens well being, its ridiculous how bad they've gotten over the years

Most of the cops don't seem to care if they make a mistake you pay I have always seen the Traffic Division well-behaved though I have a triple hernia heart issues the temperature is 100 degrees on the average I have the check in every month I am also homeless but I have done more in life than most people would ever expect I'm a musician I play 40 different instruments so well you can't tell if it's the radio or not I am a technician I have been to many of their houses most of them live in a big house on a hill with a very expensive cars a new one every year for every violation and conviction they get $1,500 so they go out of their way to obscure things I know that you trip people up so they get $1,500 per individual it doesn't matter if you were guilty or not it doesn't matter if you were sick or not you could be a 70 year old man about to die and they would still put you in jail they are the next best thing to criminals I hear there are police gangs I only have one thing to say about all that KARMA

we all know our local community in san bernardino is and had been on the lower scale of society due to income. I am sure these officers are trying there best under the work load they have. and they would be more happy to help if the situation was better. personally I am having some issues with the time of response but I am understanding of there work load and they have to prioritize there time to more important issues. I hope they would be able to increase the officers and the investigators so they can do there jobs completely. It does not help when the courts let people out when the police work hard to find them and charge them with crime. also, i am sure that some officers are just tired of chasing around bad guys. they are people too and personally i would not take that job for twice of what they being paid. they put there lives on line daily and as it looks from your posts a few people say thank you. i am sure they are the first people to call when your having an issue so please say thanks more offen.

If you're in need of help Call someone else this police department is should be an insult to those who actually honor their badge and really help and serve their community. Called when i needed them to show up and take this person who was acting violently towards me in my own home i had to grab my daughter and leave this person in there i called back an hour later to tell them i was at my aunts because i had to keep my little out of harms way. This was on a school day around 4pm well i left my aunts house around 10pm because they never showed luckily when i got back this person had taken his belongings and moved out. My aunt calls me around midnight to tell me the cops knocked o. Her door asking for me . Waste of time no wonder so much crime happens because anyone can be in mexico by the time these so called cops arrive. Pathetic

San Bernardino police need to be retrained on their skills on interacting with the public. Better yet have San Bernardino county sheriff take over. Crime will go way down. Call response time will be way faster. They won't look the other way or won't be lazy and take people in who commit crimes against someone. San Bernardino police officers are useless and majority of them are out of shape. I'm pro police but San Bernardino police department makes my blood boil every time I deal with them. They treat us like garbage. I met a few good San Bernardino police officers who actually do their job and don't pass an arrest cause they dont want to do a report or transport someone for medical and have to sit with them while they get medically cleared. Something needs to give. Either stop hiring people out of desperatness or just come to realization and have San Bernardino county sheriff take over and clean up your mess

Too much goes on for a single Department to handle in SB. Sadly we need federal help with how many things are going on in a single day. The staff try their best but they are only human just like us. Not the mention there is only a handful of officers available.

Response time is hours and you have to be dying to even be considered a priority. If they are understaffed, that isn’t our problem. What the heck is our tax money paying for then? And to the people here defending them, I’d like to ask, do you even live in the SB area? Do you understand how unsafe the community feels and they don’t care. For a lot of people it is easy to not care as long as it is not happening to them.

Worst response rate ever no matter what the situation maybe these guys are a joke to our community, collecting fat amounts of money for what this city is filled with dangerous criminals. We own a 602 letter and they still don't arrest anyone for trespassing or loitering ,burglaries ETC. ETC. They only respond fast if the suspect/s have a gun other than that they will never show up . I'm from alaska and this department is a joke and probably corrupted as well. That's why San Bernardino will always be a sh*tty place to call home or even raise a family they have a police station up the road from here and they show up literally 2-3 hours later like if the suspects are still gonna be here waiting for the cops. If the option was to put negative stars i would. Y'all should take notes from Highland PD thats a real police station unlike yours.

Working under the harshest conditions, I have nothing but respect for these people. I've had dealings with them several times unfortunately due to break ins at my business. They have always been courteous, businesslike and dig in deep including helping me to re-secure broken windows a couple times. The difficulties they face due to city business is a separate issue....the department as a whole is impacted negatively by lack of funding but the men and women who are our local cops are the best there is.

Following a minor safety-related incident at my workplace, my coworker called for two dispatch officers who arrived punctually and handled the delicate situation with professionalism and courtesy. I don't think the officers in this county get enough credit. I personally want to take the time to thank the officers who work so hard to serve and protect San Bernardino.

HORRIBLE SERVICE from the records department! The female who answered me the last two week i have been calling for status on a traffic report for a client is very rude! She speaks over you , she gives you this long story when you are simply calling for status, OH, AND HER FAVORITE WORD "WHATEVER". How unprofessional! The first time i called the report was getting signed off, then transcribes then signed off, then it would be ready next Thursday, i call now their system is down. Friday its not ready. Today i (9:12 am) call over twenty times, the line is busy. When i do get an answer i am left on hold (not on hold) hearing all their conversations for approximately 20 mins, no one ever answered me, i continued to call not getting an answer till 10:48 AM. The same women answered, i simply ask if the PR is ready and she states if i send in a request, i let her know i am sending my client in person, she says that she needs a request, she wont get it, i advised she is involved in the accident. She said that she will need to request it in person , then it will be sent to get signed off and she will have to return for it! If she would have calmed her rude self down since day 1 and said this, i would have the report in my hand, but no! She is rude. Not to mention, the reason i am sending my client in, is because she said they are 3 MONTHS BEHIND ON THEIR MAIL! Ridiculous! THE WORST POLICE STATION/ RECORDS DEPARTMENT I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED IN THE LAST 10 YEARS IN MY FIELD!

my experience is with watching a viral post of this man being beat brutally. Completely uncalled for, if your fear is that high, you have no business being a cop. These guys deserve to be criminally punched and relieved of duty immediately. This type of action will spark an uproar within the community making things worse then they already are. CAUSE and EFFECT this is something taught in grade school guys.

Darlene Elkin's lived in Orange County, her sister lived in their county. how can their detective close a case before actually investigating something more thorough. Darlene left with her sister early 7 am from Cypress home. At the time we the neighbors did not know that she was her sister because the sister never visited Darlene nor the brother in over 17 years. Soon after that morning that Darlene left with this woman she was posted on the Missing website. a few days later she was found dead in her car with 2 bullet wounds and was ruled homicide. here where it gets interesting. She was found dead 26 miles from her sisters home. the sister came within a day and cleared out the home where Darlene lived with her brother. When the car came back you could tell that this was not done in her car as stated. We asked them to reopen and no response.

The watch commander is a joke. I wanted to make a complaint against the officer GARY JACOBS who is a C.S.O. II who gave out my son's information to a complete stranger and put my son in the middle of a case for NO REASON. And the watch commander Gary didn't care he said come to the station and then if there is enough info they might look into it. Worst people to deal with! Officers who aren't trained and the people in charge who DO NOT CARE IF THEY PUT YOUR KIDS INFO OUT THERE FOR STRANGERS TO KNOW WHEN AND WHERE YOUR CHILDREN ARE! Complete JOKE of a DEPT.

I had an officer show up to my home as a result of me calling them. Our neighbors were threatening, harassing, filming us in our backyard, threatening our kids, and I got tired of it. The officer that showed up told me I was the problem, and how dare I waste valuable police time calling them. He accused me of being racist, which I am not. The entire time he was ridiculing me this tall, male officer was rolling his eyes up into his head like a pre-teen girl. I am not exaggerating at all. The neighbors cheered as he left and then they went on to harass us. Plus they threatened to shoot fireworks at our house to burn it down. These same neighbors have also removed their sewer cap to flood our driveway with their excrement. But this cop thinks I am the problem and treated me like I was a lower form of life. I found that officer to be an embarrassment to the police department. How many adult men go around acting "professional" whilst rolling their eyes every few minutes?

I've lived in San Bernardino for 3 years already. In which I've had to called 3 separate times in different scenarios to get help for others. Personally never been hurt. But the first time I was calling for a couple fighting in front of me where the boyfriend was hiting the lady to the ground. In which right away I called for help. The operator asked me if they were color people. And I answered "yes" and she said "that people always getting into trouble" then said "when we have time we will get someone to the scene" They never came. The 2nd time I had to call was for a car accident where people were running away. Leaving the car behind they never came. Today I had to call again for help this was at 6:59pm and it's 8:25pm they never came. I'm writing this review to have people that want to live here not too. Keep your family safe else where. Also so that this Police department can take note of this and what people people are writing. I will reach out to the senators city, officials, media, and of course.. the president. This should not be a problem home owners like myself or residents should have ever! If your an officer that needs better pay, or work in the police department you should ask your bosses for help.

I picked a STAR because it wouldn’t let me post it with out a STAR. Smh . It’s really ——————— STAR there was just no choice to choose. But All rookies working at the front and all incoming calls. This city needs major help. People get away with big crimes in this city, and know they can because law enforcement is under staffed and under budget to have officers arrive at scenes within 4 min. My family and myself got robbed and who at San Bernardino police dept. cares? From the cop arriving at the scene and writing a totally incorrect police report, rushed his way through it. To waiting a week for a corrected police report. To the original officer that made the report only working weekends and I guess he’s the only one that can officially update the report. To finally updating the report and it was still incorrect 3rd time now. To us having to find the DA in the Morning so he or she can have the correct police report so the only person they caught because of us can be correctly charged. (Sigh) Mannnn. I never felt the feeling of knowing my local police dept. would be so unorganized in every possible way. It’s a disgrace how poorly San Bernardino in most areas looks and feels. Policing needs to exist and new cops can’t be scared out here cause these criminals are used to soft cops. Real peoples lives are being taken away in all forms and justice is not working.

This Police Department has the worst people skills I have ever dealt with. I tried to file a stolen vehicle report thorough my work and they said they could not come out. I tried to file it on line and all I get is error messages. I have been in this city working for 3 years now and have to deal with them often and it is like pulling teeth to get them to help you out. Shame on the city for allowing this to go on!
