Went to the Moomin Shop today and I have to say it's one of my favourite shops in London. The staff are so lovely and helpful and the choice is great. I always go in when I'm in the area and the staff always remember and say hello. I got some really lovely gifts today, preparing for Christmas!!! Just in case. Thanks Moomin Shop Covent Garden :)

We were walking around the Covent Garden when we spotted this shop. I am a big fan of Moomin, so I was delighted! We walked up the narrow staircase with excitement. The shop itself is rather small, so it was not easy to walk around with other people in the shop.
They did have a good variety of items, from ornaments, clothes, bags, trays, books... Pretty much everything you can think of, they have it and more. The price point can be high, based on what you are looking for, but some items are rather affordable.
We purchased the Moomin Comfort Food recipe book (LOL!!!), and can't wait to cook something out of that book! If you are a Moomin fan, it is worth checking it out!

I absolutely loved this shop what a treat! So exciting to see all of the items Moomin products under one roof. It was beautiful and quaint and I felt spell bound with the place. Staff were professional and friendly as well as patient and knowledgeable with customers. Thank you for a lovely visit.

Brilliant place for adults and kids. If you are adult already then you will feel like a child! Totally awesome assortment with wide range of Choice. Place is quite small and unfortunately a lot of gadgets are expensive. Few cool spots for a photos

The Moomin Shop shops is located in the heart of Covent Gardens. It's a cute little shop and the emphasis is on little. From the outside, it would look like the shop as 2 floors. It turns out the shops is located on the first floor up a narrow set of wooden steps. Narrow enough to allow only one set of people going up or down.
The walls of the shop are decorated with murals of various Moomins scenes, cute for an impatient child to power on their way up the stairs. Upstairs the shop is maybe 30 metre squared. It's totally packed with Moomins memorabilia and there's hardly any space to move around especially when people are moving in different directions.
There's a reasonable range of toys, books, models and other gifts for fans of Moomins. Even some of the utensils and plates are child friendly. Very thoughtful and kudos for that. The shop isn't a fun place to shop though as it's too small and expensive. There's enough however to find just the right (Moomins) gift.

Great place for all Moomin lovers! Easy to find. Lots of moomin gadgets. But I would like this store to be bigger - with more people inside watching things without rushing can be a problem. I prefer the second Moomin store in Camden.

A really cute shop, and a must visit for Moomin fans. They have loads of products here from mugs to notebooks, and a baby range! The shop itself is upstairs from the front door, with amazing artwork as you go up them. The shop is small, but packs a lot in. It was quite busy when I went, so a bit difficult to browse properly, but still enjoyable.

Gorgeous little shop, great for Moomin lovers. It's small but it's full of wonders, and the prices here aren't too bad either. The lady at the counter was also really lovely and friendly. Definitely worth visiting if you can.

Liked the food, just didn't understand their apparently famous ruffled onion side thingie. Can't remember what they called it. The menu said its their signature something, but I found it displeasing. The steak and the rest of the food was nice, so were the drinks. I expected more lavender taste from the lavender and blueberry gin and tonic.

The bigger Moomin shop in London, walking through the Covent Garden store felt like a miniature themepark with all of the Moomins related stuff as you walk up the stairs!
Once inside the store, you are greeted with hundreds of Moomins items for sale, from books to toys, DVDs, cutlery and more! Prices are honest, if not a little high but this is to be expected for the prime Covent Garden location. Having just come back from Finland and being Moonins obsessed however, this didn't stop me from buying a small treasure trove of Moomins items!
The only downside is that the store can become VERY crowded at times. Its not the biggest place in the world and there are a lot more Moonins fans in London than I was expecting which led to people shuffling more than they could move.
I'll definitly be back someday, most likely to try and complete my collection of Moomins DVDs. Kiitos!

I originally mistook the shop for representing my bwoi mumen rider (see image below), but was pleasantly surprised to discover moomin himself. Great shop if you're a fan with lots of merchandise. The real deal was actually there to take photos with! Would have been a five star rating if mumen was also there.

The Moomin Shop is a lovely location for any fans of its namesake. It has a lot of products with the characters on them, though for the most part the prices are quite a little too much for what the product actually is. Another annoyance for me is the fact that, though it is a small shop, it is usually packed full of people, with more and more showing up, at a higher rate than leave. The shop definitely needs some volume control as it becomes difficult to move an inch. Aside from this, however, it is a truly enchanting little place to visit for fans of Moomins

The moomin is my favourite cartoon characters. The shop is 2 level. Shopping is upstairs only with a vast varieties of interesting products for home and office as well as kitchen. You can get a gift or a post card. Enjoyable experience ❤️❤️❤️

What an absolute amazing little store! Before 4 years ago my mother and I had never heard of the moomins, we stubbled across this store on accident and fell in love! The store itself has a wide selection of items and I visit anytime I’m in the country. It’s wonderfully decorated with intricate moomin details as you enter up the stairs into a moomin wonderland. It made us fall in love with all things moomin, I recommend it to any Nordic art lover or any cartoon fans. It’s definitely worth he visit.
