Extremely rude to customers. They speak to customers like they are doing them a favour, not providing a service. I was there for 5 minutes and during that time heard staff getting into an argument with customers on at least two occasions. No hello, no welcome, no smile - just a lot of pointing and rudeness. Appaling customer service, will be reporting to the head office.

Have been using Barkby Road post office for over 10 years. All staff are experienced , and knowledgeable. The service is quick. The queues are never too long, as they always seem to have an adequate number of staff. And, in the current climate, the organisation within, to deal with social distancing, has been very professional. Keep up the good work. Five star service.

Iv been using this post office for a few years. I’m so shocked to read reviews of this place. They are the friendliest women Iv met. Do they sit there smiling constantly, no. But who does? There professional. Some days they may chat a lot, other days not so much especially if they’re busy as it’ll hold the que up. We’re all human. Are people expecting some kind of show & dance! My post gets delivered. Any queries I have they help, it they can’t help, they’ll ask another or they’ll point me in the right direction. Its a post office & they get the job done. If I have post to drop off & I’m passing another post office, I’ll always wait & go here where possible. I don’t like going to any others. As for the ques. There are times it is busier. It’s not about the people on the counter, it’s about the customer at the counter. If they have loads to post or maybe something that takes a while. It’s the customer, it’s not the person serving. They're doing there job. They can’t do things any quicker. & this post office has more staff than any others Iv been to

I use this post office regularly and always find them helpfull and efficient. I think people should understand if you need to apply for a passport or a have a parcel that is not standard it takes more time and has an effect on waiting times and people queuing. Try going earlier when it is less busy.

Worst post office ever. Unprofessional and unfriendly, less helpful staffs. Even you can see tiny bit of smile in their face, also very rude.
Post office is provide a big time service. They should be training and make such place first class.

There are 4 women and that work in this post office and they are all miserable. They don't speak or welcome you to the shop, extremely rude and unprofessional. I'm not the only one that has experienced this rudeness based on the reviews and something needs to be done about it, you have now lost a customer I will be taking my business elsewhere from now on.

Occasionally use this PO & usually always disappointed. No sense of customer service, although they do appear friendly enough to their regulars.
Last visit to collect an Amazon parcel was hugely disappointing. RM tracking confirmed parcel delivered, but PO insisted it wasn't no made no attempt to check against the tracking info. Also, the ID I presented was my old paper driving licence and, whilst they accepted it as ID, insisted it was no longer valid and I MUST obtain a Photo ID licence or would be fined. RUBBISH!! Just checked the GOV.UK site and it states "You must get a new licence if: you change your address; your licence has been defaced, lost, stolen or destroyed; you change your name; you’re getting a Driver CPC driver qualification card. If none of these apply and your paper licence is still valid, you do not need to exchange it for a photocard version.

Rather disappointing visits here I was served by Liz who was more interested in booking a holidays and discussing with a colleague what holidays she was booking rather than serving me. I rather unprofessional attitude towards a job and serving customers

Refuse to take my parcel, told me that they only accept 11kg parcel and mine was 15kg and told me to go other post office.
I enquired in town post office they told me they will accept upto 30kg.
"Will try going to any other post office in the area than this one in future!"

Always terrible queues in this post office, if you get a couple of people wanting a passport check then you could be in there for up to half an hour, only ever seems to be 2 people serving at any one time, if you want to be in and out i suggest getting there at opening times if not expect to wait.

VERY VERY SLOW,THEY SPEND FAR TO LONG GOSSIPING WITH CUSTOMERS THEY KNOW RATHER THAN TRYING TO SHORTEN THE LONG LINE OF CUSTOMERS WAITING TO BE SERVED.THIS IS THE LAST TIME I WILL BE USING THIS POST OFFICE THE SERVICE IS TERRIBLE.SATURDAYS IS THE WORST WITH UNTRAINED STAFF ON THIS DAY . THEY EVEN BRING PET PARROTS TO WORK AND THEN WASTE TIME LOOKING AFTER THEM RATHER THAN THE CUSTOMERS .AVOID THIS POST OFFICE
