As a newbie I was scared to walk in here and ask questions. That's exactly what I did of course.
The staff here are amazing. I can tell they are passionate about what they do. One guy was bouncing with his headphones on to some tracks. When I was poking around he paused and gave me a crash course in DJ equipment.
When I become a famous DJ I'll have to give them credit. ;-)

Visiting...it's a DJ store - two premises next to each other - you have to walk along Hanway Street to get to the entrance . There are NO prices on display when browsing the equipment, so check the website, they have to check their website, and hoodied staff are eating pizza takeaway and grease (and then touching items you want to buy) but it's a rare DJ shop in Central London. They have a crazy returns policy saying they charge 15% if you return any items ! If the item is faulty within 28 days, they will just exchange. After 28 days they will send it to the manufacturer for repair. So better check it works at the point of sale!

Don't get your stuff serviced with these guys. Took me 4 months to get my speaker repaired. They follow up and don't seem to frankly understand what's generally going on. Very frustrating. Most of them don't seem to speak fluent english so communication over the phone can be very difficult seeing as you're often speaking to a different person every time. They don't seem to be able to produce a damage report either after countless of emails without response and then if you heckle them about it they'll blame you instead and then hang up. Will never use them again. Red Dog Music has much better service.

Went in looking for some advice, the man behind the counter didn't appear to be knowledgeable within this area of audio technology. Was sent to their store down the road as was told they will have what I am looking for, to then be aggressively grilled and questioned about who sent me and what did they look like and told to go back! No customer service skills whatsoever, will not be going back and do not recommend.

David in West End DJ, needs to have some customer service training. Rude, aggressive and charged 15% returns on a product that was less that 24 hours old.

You've got to wonder which rival shop the negative reviewers work for. This place has never been anything but helpful for me. They price match on-line prices, will discount on multiple items, provide honest advice on products (will recommend a cheaper option if it better suits your needs), they've accepted returned items and provided refunds without question and when an item has been out of stock, they've couriered it to me free of charge. What more do you need to know? I've used west end dj and west end production for all of my equipment purchases for over 4 years now and never had even the slightest problem.

I went to the shop for advice, as I didn't know where to start with getting myself on digital DJ scene. I was a bit apprehensive of course and felt like a child in the fog hehe. David H. was absolutely fantastic, he gave me his time with no excuses, explained everything in a great, to the point, respectful and just a lovely manner and now I will buy from WestendDJ (they do have great variety of stock), as David sold me this shop with the best customer service!! Worst gear shop ever. Left an audio interface to be repaired, came back with the same problem. Took me one year (yes, 12 months) and several trips downtown (as emails were never answered and no one bothered trying to help over the phone) to get a refund for the undone service. And I was always greeted by the rudest staff ever, who treated me like s**t. No wonder why their business is going downhill.

Excellent selection of kit at reasonable prices. Went to pick up some hardware, they had a mixup with stock levels, but, one member of staff (the manager/owner, I think) went out of his way to find me another store with one. Very very impressed!

I was directed there after trying the Sony shop for a good turntable to convert my records to digital format on a computer. They knew exactly what I needed and I bought a Stanton USB turntable. It's exactly what I wanted. Couldn't be happier with shop and staff.
There is a lot of rubbish here about comparing their prices to Amazon. They are not comparable. This is a shop with knowledgeable staff - they are not just box shifters!

The staff have a very funny attitude towards anyone that walks into this shop . 'To big for your boots' Shop is a mess ' Only equipment they love to promote is 'pioneer' yes its industry etc but of course there are different companies for a reason . Also staff talking about how much they hate shop hours around business hours is a big no no for me . Atmosphere is extremely S**** . Hopefully this will change , All I would say is be carful because the word get's round .

I wish I had read some of these reviews before I made a purchase with this shop. Often you hear people ask why conventional shops are closing down, as though it is simply inexplicable?? Their prices are 20% higher than Amazon and then when you want to return something they refuse unless you agree to a 15% 'handling' fee?? Simply ridiculous. I often try and shop in small outlets in order to support local shopkeepers, why do I bother, if I were you I'd give these cowboys a miss
