My friends and I recently started bike riding, 3 of my friends have purchased new bikes ranging from £140 to £400 from this store. Not 1 of the bikes has been set up properly or checked for safety. One friend had to take it back the next day to have the gears adjusted, one friend had to take the bike back in store after a ride around the car park as many bolts where not tight and nothing was adjusted properly. On a bike ride today, my other friend noticed his chain had come off. On closer look, the derailer cog had come off. We had to look for all the parts in the road and put it back together. Found the bolt on the other cog loose too, also the pedal shaft is now really wobbly. He has had the bike 1 month and done about 10 rides.

Brought a couple more bits while I was in there, no deals...???? (one star down)
But the staff was friendly and easy to talk plus I got some tips so very happy with my visit to Sutton Halfords, keep up the good work..

The queue was extremely long on this recent visit on 18 June 2020, however, I understand the reasons behind this. Safety of employees and customers is important. Once I reached the front of store, I received great service which was polite and professional. I would visit again for any needs, hopefully with shorter queues ????????

Lovely member of staff who did my 10 point check! But even though I'd booked online, the computer system wasn't working properly. I had to go into the shop and there was no social distancing and 1 member of staff had no mask on when they were very close to me and another member of staff. Also I had to go back into the shop after the car was checked! Definitely not Covid safe or really reducing footfall if I have to go in twice despite booking online.

Nice sore but one time we came during the lockdown period and a person there was quite aggressive. And all the quality bikes are out of stock and would really appreciate if there would be more stock availability.

We visited last Saturday, during these strange social distancing times. The queue was long but steady. The staff were clearly under pressure, but I can’t rate them highly enough. We were picking up a Batman bike for my 4 year old on the day before his birthday. From the first staff member who sang him the batman song as he was looking up the order, to the lovely girl who patiently adjusted the seat of his new bike and wished him a happy birthday, we were just incredibly impressed. They made a 4 year olds experience magical and I would happily shop there again!

Went in to have a headlamp fitted, purchased the bulb and was told 20mins wait. 20 mins came and went and the two guys fitting things were not making much progress to the queue. Upon askingwe were told they were working as fast as they can. Bearing in mind it was talking two to fit a car battery ... The girl came out and whipped through the queue in 2 mins flat, popped out headlamp and fitted it in 30 seconds. Moral of the storey. Make sure the girls are in when going to Halfords sutton

Everyone Ive talked to in the store is friendly except for the guy that was working upstairs in the bike part yesterday who was hella rude for no reason. Dont need impatient monkeys like that working there. I asked a simple question about buying a bike and he could not let me finish and kept rushing to finish conversation. Absolute jokeman

7 days after the due date of pickup I visited store , they couldn’t find my order and told me to contact only after 7 more days .
When I told them that I don’t like this , guy ‘Ravi’ went looking and found the bike ready for pick up , anyway 30 minutes more in the store I was told personalised sticker hasn’t arrived . So I left the whole thing in the store , 3 days later I go again - no body knew about sticker so I picked up the bike . 2 days more Tracy called me to say come to store sticker is here and if I am not there tell the staff to look in the cupboard at the back . I did exactly that but nobody found it .
Ravi again said he will refund me for the sticker.
Now months later and overall after 7 visits to the store . I neither have sticker , nor refund . Shame on you

Visted Halfords twice this week saw Lillie to rectify my rear back light issue, had to order new part received mega quickly via DHL, took part & back light tail bulbs bought from Halfords to fit today by Scott ... it was a mega hot day, queue was long but went down fairly quickly for my turn ... Scott was brilliant, quick and was explaining what & why he was doing etc .. all fitted and working fully so was well pleased .. and for a good, polite & courteous service on a baking day ... well done Scott - keep up the good work ... Halfords should be proud ????

My bike has been in this store for a fairly simple repair for 3 weeks and each time I’ve rang or went into the store , I’ve been given lame excuses or passed around and told twice it would be ready the next day when clearly it has not. Never again.????

i ordered a bike few months a go and we called few times when is the bike ready they take a long time. Then i got the bike from them for a while and the bike have a broken breaks and the pedals were draggie it was a nightmere. i have to pay for the broken breaks and pedal.
