We visited Halfords New Malden store (0543) to look for a bike for my grandson, age 10. We were served by Josh who was extremely helpful. He listened carefully to our requirements and then gave very helpful advice. Josh was friendly, knowledgeable and patient. As the bike we selected was not in stock, Josh researched which store had one. Although we did not buy it in the New Malden store, thanks to Josh we were able to buy the perfect bike from the Basingstoke store. Thanks Josh for excellent customer service.

Im from South Coast popped in for ratchet straps they had exactly what i needed, managed to grab a snow foam bottle also,The store is huge, very well stocked, unlike other stores closer to home. Polite and fast service can't ask for more 5⭐ stars

I'm regularly a customer my local Kingston upon Thames, but sadly it closed down. Having brought almost everything about car accessories, trailer, camping and bike service are so reliable, especially staff was helpful "majority of them. Brought a Wing Bar in Kingston upon Thames, find out later was too short. Head back to store but closed down, when to New Malden branch and got swap it for correct one right away" kind off!! Now I had just purchased the roof box from them.

I ordered and paid for some touch up paint 3 weeks ago and was told it would be in 2 days later. The following day the store called to say it wouldn't be in for a week. All good so far. The reason for 1* is that since then I've chased it twice. First time was told the store would contact me. They didn't. Just called again and was asked to hold while they checked and was cut off after 5mins! The girl took my mobile no but hasn't bothered to call back. Not good enough Halfords!

Good staff in the bike area upstairs pity stock levels of bikes are so low. Evidently their own brand Carreras are stuck on the Evergreen in Suez. The ground floor tills have been moved to the side, making access better.

I bought two panniers. The click and collect process was fairly efficient and the panniers seem fine, but the plastic spacers which allow the pannier to fit snugly on the panniers were missing from one of the two panniers.

In difficult circumstances of disrupted supply of bike types, both Sam & Aaron made clear to me how more expensive bikes were slower to hard to obtain & less available. They also were very clear on sources in stock, with Sam proposing alternatives. Their detailed product knowledge of competing models of gent's hybrids in the £400 and above price range was impressive. These 2 are excellent 'infantry' in the 'front line' of customer service: now to see whether the company's management & logistics operation live up to the delivery date they have promised.

New Malden store is a good one where staff are on hand, if required and they don't harass you constantly. Unlike other department stores where staff are obliged to approach every customer. The store has a reasonable selection and aren't to bad on prices

I had to have three bulbs replaced on my car and went to Halfords New Malden to get the bulbs. The mechanic (whose name I forgot to ask but he was Swedish) was extremely pleasant, knowledgeable and, even though it was bucketing down with rain) was very cheerful even though he had a few cars waiting to be fixed/fitted after mine. He did an extremely good job and I would recommend Halfords New Malden.

The team here seem to be pretty knowledgeable about the products and are very helpful and friendly. It can get busy at times especially when a number of customers are asking for advice or fitting parts and till service can slow down.

Bought an electronic scooter online from Halfords and to be collected in this store. Been asked for a valid I.D. when collecting the item. Talked to them if I can have a scanned copy as an alternative or any other proof as I travelled quite far to collect it, but apparently, they said no and that it should be the physical I.D. as per their store’s policy. Anyway, I went home to collect my I.D. then came back to the store. This time, it was a different staff who I encountered and he did not ask for any proof of identification. He just gave me the item straight away and give me instructions. I waste a lot of time & energy just for an I.D. Next time, please include in your message if a certain item needs proof of identification when collecting in stores.

Yes, I really was very disappointed with this New Malden store. As the car parts were urgently needed, they found and checked that the New Malden unit had the items in place and would be able to pick them up an hour from the order I bought. But after 2 hours of waiting, I still didn't get any confirmation and called the specified phone number. Of course he replied that we are very sorry because we are really very busy, but promised that there will be confirmation very soon and you will be able to go to pick up. After all that, I spent more than an hour and heard the same message again as before. Finaly I asked to connect me directly to the New Malden store. After talking to them directly, replied that I could drive without waiting for any confirmation messages and pick up my ordered goods. I also received confirmation while driving. Of course I only picked up the goods after more than 3 hours extra waiting time and there were no people at all. So sorry, my confidence in the Halfords New Malden division has plummeted.

I needed a BlackVue dash cam I moved as I was trading in my Audi the first Halfords I went to could not facilitate the removal in time so I ended up going to another branch which I know which happened to be New Malden.I arrived on time and was told a technician would be with me shortly which he was.The time allocated was 35 minutes for complete removal. The actual time was 17 minutes. Even the cashier was very professional and courteous.

Bike Hut - New Malden. The bike is not one of the most expensive but for me perfect for my daily commute into London. However, after only six days the rear wheel decided to shed its spokes, so a manufacturing and warranty issue. I brought the bike back to the Bike Hut New Malden and spoke to a junior member of staff and understood the issue and agreed the the bike will be repaired under warranty. After 15 minutes I enquired what day I can collect the bike expecting a few days time, however, I believe the bike hut manager spoke to me and said my bike will be ready in 10 minutes with a new rear wheel and a front wheel just in case there was an issue with the front wheel. I must say the customer service I received from New Malden Bike Hut from the junior member to the senior member of staff and the timely repair of my bike was outstanding and certainly exceeded all of my expectations. This team must be commended for their excellent customer service, timely resolution to the warranty issue and their professional manner. Its rare these days to receive such great service, well done Halfords. The bike is great now.

I took my bike for a service as the gear was not working properly. After a first check Matt informed me that the chain was exhausted and made the gear to malfunction. So he informed how much would it cost and the time it will take. I am very happy with the bicycle now as it feels like new :-)

Sadly, as a woman, I was treated as though I was incapable of understanding anything when talking about my car by the Halford's staff? Instead of going there and coming away with the 3 bulb replacements I wanted for my car, which would have cost me approximately £16, I spent £40 for a full car check which didn't happen, only 2 bulbs not three being preplaced and my car broke down on the A3 within 3 mins of leaving the premises. Worst mistake I could have made going to Halfords.

Ordered online for collection. On collection noticed bike wasn’t clean. Got told was probably a display model. Which I paid for building. I did get a small discount because of this but when riding it home the gears have not been adjusted properly and didn’t move to correct position. Decided to return to store to get fixed. I watched while it was done but found it was a little rushed. Ride home and bingo front gears still not going into position when changing the gears. Very very disappointed in this. I paid 25 quid flr the year service deal and think this could be a big waste of money if the so called experts can’t even get the bike running correctly from first use. Staff were nice enough but rushed off their feet. I don’t think I would use Halfords again to purchase a bike. Especially with the level of service.

Really poor customer service. Store manager isn’t able to exchange a tool, apparently not qualified, makes customers wait long time for someone that is qualified to go search for a tool. Always an issue with this store - they try to get rid of you by stating long waiting times because they don’t want to do the job!
