3 visits to halfords to return a faulty head unit, I was at wits end and about to write a very long complaint until I was rescued by Justin and Sarika who seamlessly Swapped out my item and even showed me all the different replacements I could get! 5 out of 5! This will be my new local halfords, even though its 15 miles away!!!!

Travelled to this store to buy a unit for my brake system. Was unable to find it so went to the counter for help. Was totally ignored by staff and then served someone else before me. Walked out in disgust. Will buy from Amazon.

Poor experience when purchasing a car battery. The fitter was very late and didnt know how to install in an Audi A4 avant, which houses it in the boot. As he seemed out of his depth, I thought best to take no chances & so left with a battery unfitted, then arranged to have installed by a mechanic which turned out to be a 10 minute job-more fiddly than the more common bonnet fittings - but that's a shop fitters job to know!? The man at the till (possibly the manager, did not seemed concerned for the inconvenience & I'm waiting on the £15 fitting refund.

Absolutely first class service. Bought an apollo kinx 24 for my 9 year old which looks fabulous. I collected the bike and was served by Baha who was really friendly and helpful. The bike is perfect, my daughter is going to be delighted and the service cannot be faulted. Fully recommend Halfords Chiswick.

Amazing guys, one in particular served me this morning he was so lovely. I had my car registrations stolen this morning and came as soon as the store opened, within minutes registrations were ready and put on! I was so stressed this morning and now I can breath again! Thank you so much, I didn't take his name but he was there this morning at the till, young man, such brilliant customer service!! Always come to this branch and always had good customer service!

For a multiple chain I am always surprised how the staff are pleasant and keen to help. I went in for oil and as usual I could not remember which one to buy and I normally ask which has never been a problem but now they a screen where the oil is and you simply type in your reg and hey presto it tells you all of the oils that is suitable and the prices. Well done Halfords you have the customer experience spot on....even got £10 off.

- low quality service: kids bike was serviced and brakes were not done properly. Could have caused a bad accident. On another bike screw was not tightened and I lost a part.
- unprofessional: appointments were mixed up two times. Had to leave without work done!
- unfriendly: unfriendly staff told me that it is impossible that I have an appointment, which I actually made in the store!
Wrong information: called and was told something not true
Phone service: phone does not get picked up for long time
I had two bikes there and both were not serviced properly! For the kid’s bike this was potentially dangerous. Bad quality work together with really complicated procedures!
Go somewhere else!!! For safety and your nerves!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. My partner took her bike for a “free” service. Sure enough, staff discovered more and more issues that would cost money to fix. They advised repairs would take several weeks, and the bike had to stay as “any further use could damage the bike”.
The next day staff phoned to say they couldn’t fix the bike after all as they lacked the tools. When collecting the bike the basket has gone missing - we discovered it had been converted to a rubbish bin by staff. These people are clowns and will seek to scam you - go to one of the local places instead.

Made an online appointment for a free bike check (after going there in person the day before to ask what the best way for a check up is), showed up on time with my bike to be rudely told by a service lady that they have too many bikes to check and they won’t attend to me. Not interested in any form of customer service obviously.

I hobbled into Chiswick Halford having had a puncture and a broken bottle cage which somehow happened at the same time. I needed a new inner tube, bike tool and help with getting my very belligerent tyre back on. I could have got back on the road without them. My bike cage wouldn’t come off either so one chap recommended a thread glue to try. All really friendly and very helpful. Would very much visit again. I was in the Twickenham branch a few days earlier and their staff were great too. It’s clearly something that is important to Halfords to have great staff.

Rude staff. Can’t be bothered to advise you... let alone take your payment. Just tried to buy a tool for my bike and was told ‘I’m not serving’ - there was no one else about. When somebody did finally come they scanned the product and then walked off and started chatting to another colleague. Basic service is not there. I’ll be going to a local independent place next time. Avoid.

Fantastic job done by the staff here.
Came in to have a child seat attached to a bike but there was an attachment issue due to the structure of the bike
One member of staff (Mo) stayed past the end of their shift to work around the problem and enable us to leave with the child seat attached and have it safety checked

Lots of staff finding things to do other than take care of customers. Long queues, only to be told that they can't do work without an appointment, which they're booking a month ahead, even for people with maintenance plans that promise to "keep you on the road".
