Purchased a laptop from here 2 years ago, for video editing. One of the staff was very helpful and helped me pick the right laptop for my budget, the other was quite blunt and honest about limitations which I can respect. Though if I wasn't a bit of a techie I probably would have got the hump. Had an OS software issue which was resolved no problem the first time. But the second time I was instructed that software is not covered on warranty, industry standard as far as I'm aware so perhaps the first time was just a friendly favour. One member of staff was great to deal with while the other had a very straightforward approach to customer service so I understand the low reviews. However, if you are going there just to buy a laptop without guarantee of OS then you will have a good time. The laptop is still running so I can't complain.

This is a review to thank the staff at Laptop Supermarket/Laptop Doctor... I took in my Lenovo all in one desktop computer which had crashed and was completely stuck... They assessed it and came back to within a few days with a diagnosis and a range of options for repairing it... I agreed to a mid priced option and the work was carried out speedily and efficiently... I have my computer back and all is working well, with a warranty... Great service.

I bought a refurbished laptop from this shop and I have been using it for over 4 months, and I felt that I need to give my honest opinion about the laptop and leave a review as a thank you to them.
I use the laptop mostly to check e-mails, surf the internet, and use MS word and power point. I have never had a problem with the laptop and it is working properly and it didn't fell like it is a refurbished laptop, maybe it is because all of the refurbished laptop at this shop are of a high quality! Probably.
I think they deserve a 5 star review for the good work they do and the quality of the product they sell

I was looking for a mid price laptop but with a performance that I can be happy with. I looked for many of the new laptops online but the prices where quite high and I didn't like most of the laptops.
Then, I decided to look for a refurbished laptop and one of my friend told me that he knew about Laptop Supermarket and the laptops they sell, I didn't refuse to give a look at their collection, and I have to say they have a great collection of laptop!
I bought my laptop from them two months ago and I am so grateful that I visited this shop before paying a lot of money on a new laptop that might be worse than the laptop I bought.

Phoned up to ask a query, probably the rudest guy I've ever spoken to! Decided to go elsewhere just based on this pi**-poor interaction.
AVOID!
(Have since had a hilarious reply which perfectly illustrates why they need some customer service training, and by the look of it, some management training too! If you don’t want to hack off your staff, investigate the issue first before you “have an argument” with them! ???????? By the way, the reason I said the interaction was rude was because of his tone and the fact he was interrupting me, don’t think it’s anyrhing to do with my Valentine’s Day... could be something to do with the fact that I’ve been incredibly ill for the past few weeks though ????)

Not usually one to leave a bad review but I think it's important I share the poor experience I had here. Sorry guys, I'm sure there are some great people working here but first impressions last and unfortunately a patronising approach just isn't the best way to secure a loyal customer.
I brought two laptops in to be fixed/diagnosed and felt that I was over-quoted. We were told that one of the laptops could only be fixed by a complex and expensive micro-soldering process, and that to have both laptops fixed would have ended up costing more than they were worth!
I felt like I had to make a conscious effort to be extremely polite and friendly, and although the guy who served me did offer a few options to consider, quite frankly I didn't want to spend my money at a place where I wasn't particularly valued as a customer. My advice would simply be to shop around...a shame that we have spent £40 on 2x diagnosis fees, but at least it's better than having spent more...
Eventually, I went to another place that came highly recommended and ended up spending far less and have got two fantastically working laptops! The "micro-soldering" process was not necessary, and we got it fixed for £50 instead of £145 - and NOT by simply sticking tape over the issue - we were physically shown the problem and how it was fixed. For my laptop, I was quoted £195 to get the part replaced whereas I had it fixed somewhere else for £100.
I should probably expect an equally patronising response, but I'm just sharing my experience... Convenient location but I won't be recommending this place to my friends...

Sold me the wrong wattage charger for my MacBook Pro. Should have 85W they sold me 60W. Burnt out the first one in a month which burnt the charging port on my macbook, returned it and they still then gave me the same wrong wattage. It has ruined my macbook, now have constant over heating problems, even though another shop has shown me the error and got the right charger. You would think they would know this simple thing. Jokers

Rude with no customer service skills. clearly dont care about repeat business. had a problem with my ram and they said it was a super complex fix that "they are the only place in brighton that can do it" with a huge price tag of £200
took it somewhere else and it was fixed for £50... scammers wouldnt even waste my energy looking at that place again

Yesterday, I managed to run over my own phone at about 30 miles per hour (don't ask how!) I was desperate to try and recovery the baby photo's of my boy and went round many shops in Brighton, all of which said "it cannot be done." Then, spoke to a bearded genius at Laptop Supermarket (sorry, name has slipped my mind) who said he could do it. 2 hours later, I have all the photo's / videos back from a smashed up tangle of metal and glass - nothing short of a miracle. It cost £40 which is the best money I have ever spent - Nathan

I feel quite confident that any negative review for this shop might be down to a mix-up between this one and the laptop shop further up Queens Road. That place I certainly don't recommend, and this one I sincerely do.
I had water damage on my iPhone, another place estimated 5 working days minimum to repair, and suggested a spot of insurance fraud to address the problem! These guys returned my phone to me within 24 hours good as new. I felt they were honest, and I found the whole experience friendly and positive. (These are the guys just up from the Hope pub on the other side of the road). Use them!!

Very helpful staff. Sohail came back to me instantly on every email I sent, and Martin did a stunning job on the repair of my very badly damaged iPhone. They also acknowledged that I actually know what I am doing myself when it comes to repairs too which I find rare. All in all very helpful and would be happy to use again.

I was in this shop recently and I had experienced the best customer service ever. I'm manager of 4 star hotel and I wish that my staff was so professional and turning any situation in good laugh. They repaired my laptop in a matter of hours. And the cost of the repair was reasonable. I'm very satisfied with them and I would recommend them to all my friends. Took my phone here to get it repaired after King of GSM did a complete and utter hack job at "repairing it" (whilst also stripping out the parts that did actually work!).
Laptop supermarket were very friendly, did everything by the book, very professional. Cost of their services were very reasonable and their turn around time was phenomenally fast. A full report was written for the repaired phone after and a 3 month warranty on the replaced parts.
Very impressed with Laptop Supermarket. Would recommend to anyone needing a phone repair! Fantastic stuff. Thank you Laptop Supermarket!

Had an awful experience with them - they were unprepared and rude, and I left the shop with the impression that they are not trustworthy. Now that I see the reviews further down and realise others have had bad experiences too, I'm actually counting myself lucky! I'm not even sure whether to believe their replies to the negative feedback. The whole thing seems dodgy so would recommend staying away.

Cracked my iPhone screen when visiting Brighton rendering it useless and me, stranded. Dropped in here thinking I'd have to wait at least 24hrs but they fixed it in 20 mins. Was served by an incredibly helpful guy who filled out all the forms and kept me updated on how the fix was coming. Cheaper than my usual repair guy too. A class act.

Absolutely shocking service! First diagnosis was wrong. Second diagnosis was "It might be this but it might not...". Noone contacted me on either occasion to tell me that it was ready to collect and had to go in and chase it. It's now been over a month and they still have my product and a manager was supposed to call me over a week ago! Complete waste of time

Repaired some audio and USB 3 issues on a PC.
There were some issues with scheduling it in at a time that they could turn it around quickly but once they were working on it, it was fixed pretty efficiently.
Gave good advice and were trustworthy throughout!

Had a very difficult and displeasing time dealing with this shop. Similar to another review - customer service was unacceptable and on the many occasions I phoned the staff were too busy and the 'call back in two hours' never came. Must have happened 5-6 times. The only way to get things done was by going intp the shop where I found the staff defensive and unwelcoming. I certainly wont be bringing my business back here and would actively recommend friends to avoid.
