Sent my BMW Harmon Kardon amplifier to these guys for test and repair ???? Had a phone call off Mark to say unit is faulty and can be repaired,so within 6 days start to finish my amplifier is back in my car working like brand new there was even a weekend in those 6 days so I’m not even gonna count that???? Blackpool to Surrey and back again in that time is just 1st class Great work by Mark and the team and will defo highly recommend these guys...

The team at Cartronics helped to replace our original Japanese radio for a modern DAB Pioneer radio with EU Navigation and Apple CarPlay.
Even during this Covid-19 crisis, they were able to facilitate all the work required in a timely and safe manner. Nothing was too much bother for the team and the finished job was great.

Cartronics diagnosed and ordered parts to repair the factory fitted Satnav and entertainment system in my car within a day of receiving it by courier. The unit was then shipped back to me following a short lead time for the parts to arrive. Everything is working as it should now with the latest software and maps and I give them 5 stars for professionalism and customer service.

Contacted Cartronics about upgrading to DAB for our Audi TT Mk1. Saw they'd done an install where the radio flap could still shut, and wanted a kit of parts so I could do the job myself whilst we're in lockdown.
Mark and the team answered all questions via email quickly and efficiently, and the shipment of bits arrived the next day. One little tweak to the wiring harness needed an additional wire which arrived just as promptly. Nothing was too much trouble and I'd highly recommend Cartronics - friendly, knowledgeable and efficient.

Clever bunch of lads!! On my XJ350, enabled fitment of heated seats using original heatpads and the correct dashboard switches, to talk to each other via the ECU. Jag dealers and Jag Independents either couldn't or wouldn't !! Even after a slight original problem, absolutely no trouble to re appraise, so full marks and would thoroughly recommend. Well done. Wouldn't use again, took sat nav in for repair, 79 initial charge for investigation, phoned within a few hours and quoted 550 plus vat for repair for old unit, contacted Alpine who only charge 30 quid plus vat for check much more reasonable, will go direct to Alpine/Dtronix in future.

Cartronics charged £179 just to diagnose and then quoted £1400 to repair my Mercedes W205 radio unit. Of course this cost is beyond any reasonable (more than 10% of the car price!!), but they assured me it is impossible to install an aftermarket radio unit in my Mercedes - which turned out to be a lie.
I contacted a company (garage?) in Gorredijk, Neitherlands via email and sent them the unit via UPS. They sent me back a working unit and connected remotely to complete Anti-Chief configuration.
All in all the repair cost me £300. Good saving vs Cartronics. Ah, I forgot £179 wasted on Cartronics "expertise".
My takeaway - avoid Cartronics or at least don't pay them a penny until they quote you the total cost of repair. I guess "diagnostics" may be their main source of profit.
If you know how to hold a screwdriver, look for an option to remove a faulty unit and send it to those whose can actually repair it or send you back an aftermarket replacement. You can save a fortune.

Cannot fault Cartronics for the service I received, having a new multimedia system and reversing camera fitted in my VW Campervan, they were, absolutely fantastic, from start to finish..
Due to Covid restrictions, my initial enquiry was dealt with, via numerous emails, going back n forth, always with quick & informative responses.
When dropping off my pride & joy (Following strict, Covid safe measures) one of their technicians (Phil) walked me through the job ensuring the fine details were correct.
A nice touch, in my mind.
36hrs later, the job was completed.

Upon collection, (again following Covid safe measures) Phil took the time to run through the basics, on the head unit, ensuring I had a basic understanding of all the features..
I would 100% recommend Cartronics.

I had a self-sourced stereo fitted here and these guys sorted it out perfectly!
I knew it would be an issue matching an aftermarket stereo to a factory Dynaudio system but these guys managed it and in record time.
I’ve read other reviews and noticed many moaning about price but these guys know what they are doing so if you find it cheaper elsewhere, ask yourself WHY it’s cheaper... Because it’ll work out more expensive when you need Cartronics to repair and refit it correctly.
Already booked the next visit to get more goodies fitted and know it won’t be the last!

Having spoken with a number of audio shops to get a new stereo fitted in my range rover I decided to go with Cartronics, not only were they great on the phone but made me feel at ease because they know what they are talking about.
Other places said I would lose my steering wheel radio controls and parking sensors, not the case with Mark and the team. They had me all ready to go in 24 hours. I couldnt ask for a better service.

Ordered their aftermarket adapter for my mini cooper S that came with the Harmon Kardon system which was said to be a pain to get any aftermarket radio to work with the mini cooper premium factory amplifier. These guys came through with their product which made everything work together without any re-wiring or major modifications to the speakers. Thank you again!

After an accident with paint spillage i was quoted £1800 by BMW to replace my Harmen kardon amp unit until i was lucky enough to find this place on google, phoned them and then sent my amp off and had a quote within 2 days and the unit was back in the car the following Friday and working as good as new.Excellent first class service and quick turn around time and great customer service in regards to updates on the parts delivery and repair. 10/10

Posted item Tuesday night cartronics received it Wednesday repaired it posted it back out Wednesday received it Thursday. Sound is absolute fantastic better than before with increased volume as well. Item was for range rover l322 with aftermarket unit fitted.

Not Impressed. They charge £80 for diagnosis of my dead bmw radio but - repair estimate £425. ok but when I didnt go ahead they left the cd stuck inside even though they had opened it to diagnose :-( Arrogant and unhelpful in my view.....

After paying £95 for DIAGNOSTICS on a built-in car navi touchscreen, another £79 REPAIR DIAGNOSTICS charge was demanded - thus after paid £174, two days, and three trips to Cartronics in two cars only led me to a quote of £500 to repair the LCD matrics panel of the touchscreen. The timing of when I was told about the £79 repair diagnostics charge made it a surprise to me.

Went to Cartronics to have a radio fitted in my polo as my old radio had stopped working. The men in the showroom were super helpful even though I had an old car lol. Had the radio fitted whilst I waited l. Super fast and super friendly, a lot better than other services had to endure. Highly recommend!

Cartronics installed a Denion DAB radio into my car. Very quick and tidy job. During the fit, they identified that there was a problem with a speaker in the car. Booked it for a diagnostic, the engineers fixed it in 45 minutes. Very, very happy.

I was seeking not only a music sytem, but sound advice from the team at Cartronics, about what could be installed in my Bentley GT Speed. Cannot recommend Cartronics highly enough. 4 grown men at BMW couldn't confirm whether my new (second hand) car had bluetooth despite me insisting it seemed quite obvious it did. The incredibly helpful professionals at Cartronics confirmed it did in less than 2 minutes and fixed the problem incredibly quickly.
They communicate very clearly, they take out any of the stress and confidently state that "anything can be fixed". Quite a refreshing change considering how badly BMW dealt with me.

I dropped off an ECU for repair at 09.30 and was phoned at 12.30 to say it was ready for collection. Very fast, friendly and efficient service. Price quoted was price paid, fitted, worked and job done in just over half a day amazing. Have used other companies in the past that usually take between 3-5 working days. Will definitely use again.

I was looking for a Car Play solution for a 2002 MINI. Very hard to find on the continent, so I found Cartronics who were very knowledgable and willing to make my dream come true. Well worth the 12 hour drive. Very friendly staff and always aiming for full customer satisfaction. Never had the feeling that they tried to talk me into something I did not want. Recently my Honda CR-V’s radio/nav system went into anti theft mode when the battery was disconnected. Unfortunately the system fitted was a fully touch screen and the usual hack to get the code back was not possible.
Honda (Marbella Spain / Honda Germany confirmed that the unit had to be returned to the manufacture Clarion for them to reset the code as this unit allowed the owner to set their own code.
After searching the internet for help I came across Cartronics. I made contact with Mark who gave me all my possible options and was more than accommodating with regards to answering my many questions.
Unfortunately for me I was not able to place an order as I have not been able to locate anyone qualified to do the installation for me.
I have no hesitation in recommending Cartronics and especially Mark for his outstanding customer service

Got in touch after seeing their Ebay posting. Repairing BMW X5 amplifier. Through Ebay, they say if you remove the unit yourself and send it for repairs including upgrade you pay £79.50 including postage.
Just in case you are planning on taking the car to workshop yourself. What they don't tell you about cost is these extra charges
£95 removal and diagnosis
£89 repair
£95 reinstalling
Beware of the charges.
So today had a call. Unit was ready for reinstall to bring car to workshop
for reinstallation, so booked for Wednesday. Soon after booking confirmation another text arrived requesting a call call as my booking was cancelled.
I asked why, was told because l left a review warning other customers of the extra charges. Was told Engineer is not happy that l left a review with those warning other prospective customers warning of the hidden charges. Told also that l l will get my full refund and collect the amplifier as well.
Requested if they could post it back to me. Was told not to collect amplifier in person. As well as deposit.
Wanted to understand why the cancellation as l had no problem paying the £279
despite knowing something just wasn't right I am told an outsourced engineer who repairs the faulty amplifier is not happy that l wrote the review awareness of hidden charges so would not be completing the job now.
Initially before booking the car l was made to understand that the amplifier would be fixed same day at workshop. And that would cost £95 and the stereo would be up and running same day. (To my reprise l had to rebook for plugging amplifier) About the extra charges was shock on the day to hear about the extra charges by then amplifier was already removed and wrapped up.
No invoice was issued explaining what was wrong with amplifier. I then requested receipt to the £95 for unplugging and testing. We could hear the
stereo playing music from workishop.
Then Saturday through Ebay l messaged wanting an explanation of why same job on their Ebay site was offering £79.50 for the same job l was being asked to now pay £279.
My decision to write a view was specifically to warn prospective customers of the extra hidden charges. To avoid finding out the same way l did.
Not sure why engineer is not happy my letting others know about the extra charges. I didn't make up the figures. Will post ebay message from Cartronics with the breakdown

I have. What l want to know is if l remove the amplifier myself and send it to you for repairs how much does it cost? Trying to work out what may be cost effect for me. Bringing in the car for diagnostic repairs and fitting v just just the amplifier for repairs and fitting it myself

I had a “dead” MMI system in my Audi A7. I contacted several companies in Norway but they had either not the competence or interest to repair the ridiculously expensive MMI head unit.
I contacted Cartronics by email and 5 minutes later Mark responded and said that they could fix my MMI, no problem. Got the part back and installed at my Audi garage. The MMI head unit
