I've purchased a few items from the Cartronics ebay shop so far and each time they have been informative, knowledgable, accommodating and really good at communicating. I can't recommend them highly enough.

Asked for a quotation on fitting a part (2.5 - 3 hours as per installation instructions). I live quite far so driving all the way down for a quote was not an efficient option hence I offered to email them a link to the relevant part, installation manual, and my VIN number. I also mentioned I'm happy with a ROUGH quote but the guy I was talking to kept repeating they have to see the car. I mean what professional is unable to say i.e. £300 to £500 or something like that. All other companies I called were able to give an indication on cost based on information I provided. I finally said "ok no worries thank you" and the guy just put the phone down on me. He just couldn't be bothered. Maybe they are doing very well and don't need more business but that's horrendous customer service!

Probably the worst place I've ever dealt with. Having bought a DAB radio a week ago, I've since returned to the shop on 4 occasions due to problems with the quality of installation. Every fix seemed to cause a new issue and currently, the radio loses all settings and has abysmal reception. I took it back today for a refund, which was refused and I was charged a further £90 to re-install the original radio. AVOID THESE COWBOYS AT ALL COST.

After having been to OPC Porsche and asking for a diagnostic to be run on my PCM 3.0 system to investigate lack of sound output (£126 later) their undetailed opinion was that the PCM system needed to be replaced to the tune of £1900. Unconvinced as to how much effort had been put into this diagnostic (given that they managed to run a full Porsche health check within the same 1 hours labour to tell me what other work they could do on the car) I turned to Google and Cartronics in Byfleet seemed to be the best guys to turn to for a second opinion. I can now confirm that Cartronics are SUPERB at dealing with technical issues like this. After a proper diagnostic they identified a faulty amplifier, ordered a replacement. Once it arrived they had it fitted and everything up and running in next to no time. You don't get bullshit, ego massaging or free coffee here - just good technical service from guys who know their stuff.

The team at Cartronics UK and Beatsonic Japan (Mark & Hendrik) offer the highest level of customer support with product and supportive documentation. I have been able to integrate a Modern DVD SatNav Head Unit into my 2002 Lexus SC430 allowing me to have up to date SatNav Technology complete with Warnings on the Head Unit whilst using the OEM Screen as a Monitor to view the music being play. I destroyed my interior unit including the Aircon, pcm unit and psm management on my boxster, I managed to find a used model on eBay, after speaking to porsche they told me they were unable to reprogram it for my car as it's locked to a chassis number on the individual vehicle,, two hours with cartronics and the unit had been replaced with the one of eBay, all sat nav, psm, trip computer info all worked and everything was back to normal, first class service from Mark and his team

I brought my 8th Gen Honda Civic in the other day to get an Aux input retrofitted, and to investigate a problem with my CD player. Most garages won't touch these particular models (as the dashboard is pretty complex) but Cartronics were happy for me to bring it in so they could take a look, and booked it in for within 2 weeks. The team were extremely knowledgeable, keeping me up to date every step of the way and advising me my options once they had completed the initial troubleshooting. I was able to get the aux input fitted there and then at an extremely reasonable price, and will be rescheduling the CD player for a later date, as it requires extra work with one of their technicians. After a few teething problems with the new system (which the team were able to take back into the garage and resolve for me in under an hour for no extra charge) I was away earlier than expected, and am very happy with the end result. The place is easy to find, just a slight detour off the M25, and is located within a short walk of local shops/Tesco so you can grab a bite to eat while they work. Overall, the work completed was of a high standard (and a LOT cheaper than quoted by Honda themselves to retrofit a factory system), and I look forward to dealing with Cartronics again in the future!

Kudos to Mark Godden and Andy Shenton for giving no nonsense straight forward advice. I had my 2010 E89 Z4 booked in to get the BMW HiFi upgrade, and some Lux H8 160 bulbs installed. Not only was the HiFi Retrofit done seamlessly (night and day difference compared to stock) They even fitted the Lux bulbs as part of the service and fitted some LCI side indicators that I bought from another dealer for free. I can highly recommend Cartronics without question.

Left my E60 BMW ccc hu to check. Told that in any case i will need to pay £50 for diagnostics. Day later guy called me and said unit is faulty and it cost £680 plus vat to fix it . Didn't want to go so expensive as units on ebay goes for £300 so i said that i'll come back for my radio. He said that i will need to pay £75+vat for diagnostics. I asked why not £50 as been told first time, guy said don't worry come back and he will do £50. Came back and asked what is wrong with unit, he said that faulty internals, nothing particular. Don't even know was it really checked or not, as they couldn't even tell me what is wrong with my stereo.

Absolute joke, the boss quoted £440 to fit a head unit and pair of speakers. £120 to fit head unit and £150 to fit speakers as well as a long list of parts which in some case were charged at double the price they should have been (steering wheel adaptor). Do not recommend at all, went to bannings in slyfield and was quoted 4 times less, yes a factor of 4 times cheaper. Even claimed halfords were a joke with just a guy with a screwdriver and then went on to point out the awards they had from halfords for their high standards haha

Very Rude staff! I walked in and after being ignored for 10 minutes a technician walked out from the back to see if he could help. I asked for a radio harness and he went away to find one. 20 minutes later I was still stood there waiting and was further ignored by another member of staff. One guy finally asked if they could help and I informed him I was apparently being served. I then heard the technician shout "sorry mate, I got side tracked with something else!" So the technician finally brings out a dirty, unboxed harness, puts its on the counter and says, "£29.95 mate" I asked why the part was so expensive as the exact same part and brand is only £12 in Halfords but they didn't have the part in stock until the next day, I said if we could do a deal of £15 then I think thats more than reasoble. He replied, "no its £29.95, take it or leave it!" I'll leave it then and I won't deal with your ignorant attitude or your over priced shop again! Very dissapointed.

I have a lovely Swiss registered 2012 LHD BMW 530d F11 with red Dakota leather but without heated seats. I looked on the internet to have factory original heated seats retrofitted. The car is almost new and only has 5000kms so I wanted a first class job. I tried about 5 main dealers but none of them wanted to know since it is beyond their expertise. The excellent Cartronics website showed that they have already done this task many times so I was quite relaxed for them to do this job. It timed well with my trip to the UK over Christmas. Mark explained that the work would be like the factory original. Cartronics were most patient with my many phone calls and questions. Because of their obvious expertise and knowledge I also plumped for the USB retrofit. They completed the work as promised. On pick up I was a little worried that there might be some damage or the leather might not fit quite right as before. Not to worry! They kept their promise. Not a single scratch or nick. Everything worked, everything fitted as before and the car has been correctly recoded. They even game me a printout showing the new configuration. An absolutely faultless job. I am 100% satisfied. Thanks guys. Keep up the great work! Am I Cartronics' most distant customer!!?

Can't praise Cartronics enough, i had a damaged lead/canbus for my Kenwood DNX520vbt i rang everywhere i could local, VW and even Kenwood no one could help to supply the correct cable supplied with this unit. Stumbled on Cartronics from a google search and emailed the question, Mark responded and knew exactly what i would need to get everything working again and was very helpful/knowledgeable on all my questions! Thanks again for getting me up and running appreciate it and would definately use them again.

Fine for big jobs but customer service is crap when it comes to helping out, wanted to charge me £75 for changing a cable as that is their min, charge - with me supplying the cable! Really disappointed thus in customer care.
