Recently collected my JCW from Alexia at Chandlers. Firstly the car is amazing but more importantly, the dealership is better than first class. From the moment I walked in to the moment I collected the car I was treated with respect and courtesy. The atmosphere in the dealership was second to none as were all the staff from the receptionist to the General Manager and admin looking after my paper work. I can’t rate them highly enough so if you’re looking for a new or used car no matter where you are in the country, go to Chandlers Mini in Brighton.

Having visited Chandlers before looking for an upgrade to my old 2007 Mini and speaking with one of the sales team i thought i would do some homework of the Mini i wanted and could afford. Decided then to have a look around a few Mini garages only to be ignored really by some of the staff who worked in them. Guildford,Farnborough, Sorry to mention but its true. Saturday i thought why not go and have a look around Chandlers Brighton and see what they have after viewing many on line. sat down with a coffee and lexi, not a sales person but more of a friend approach to looking for a car, sat in a few then looked at ones within other branches and then Bingo!! the car i wanted the colour, spec along with all the bells and whistles. Hour later car ordered depsoit paid along with so much more then i expected in terms of warranty, aftercare,and a fantastic service. week later car collected even better then i imagined in the flesh. I cannot say enough about my experiance from Chandlers. Thank you to Alexi and the team for making a dream! One Happy Mini Cooper owner.

I have been looked after fabulously by a lovely young lady called Hannah. The service was 5* throughout! Investigations were very thorough and extensive. Communication has been spot on. I cannot find fault. Would highly recommend, and I will be using chandlers more often. Thank you Hannah and mini.

I have nothing but praise for the amazing assistance that Jack and Chandlers Brighton Mini Centre provided. He went above and beyond to help me with a third party company repair issue to my mini. He was kind and very patient with my frustrations with the third party and greeted me each time with a cheery smile on my numerous visits. He answered my countless queries promptly and liaised professionally with the third party company. The standard of work from BMW was high, it was a shame I was not permitted by the third party company to use their services for the whole repair. We got there in the end!

Arranged a waiting appointment whilst brakes on my Mini were serviced. Good communication before the appointment. The service was completed in just under 2.5 hours from checking car in to driving off again. Waiting area clean and good WiFi. I like that the service centre emails you a vehicle report as soon as the work is completed. Good service overall but prices on the high side.

I just want to make it clear that this is the first time I have ever complained on social media. I purchased my brand new mini convertible from Chandlers Mini in Portslade. Three year servicing was included in the package. My mini was due it’s 3rd service last year. Due to Covid I was directed by the government to shield at home. I have remained at home for just over a year. I contacted Chandlers and explained the reasons why I could not bring the car in for its service. I have been informed that my last service offer has expired and that I would have to pay for the service. I extremely upset and disappointed that Chandlers would not even consider taking my exceptional circumstances into account. Chandlers Mini have not shown any compassion whatsoever. I was looking to buy another Mini but I certainly won’t be now. I have been a loyal customer for 12 years but I suppose that means nothing now. I will be taking this further and contacting my local MP Peter Kyle. Shame on you Chandlers Mini Portslade

Having my Mini serviced during a pandemic was a bit worrying. However Chandlers had it organised brilliantly, it was excellent. Pre check in online, keys left in a secure box, regular contact during the day, paid over the phone, online check out and easy pick up of car and keys. Well done ???? you had it sussed.

I took my Mini Cabriolet into Chandlers BMW Service Department in Portslade for a Brake Fluid Service yesterday at 10am. I had a phone call an hour later to say the Mini was ready to be picked up! Excellent service, polite and friendly staff and a card offering a free wash and valet when lockdown rules are lifted. Thank you!

I always get a great service from Chandlers Mini when I take my car in. The whole process from booking, checking in, receiving updates and when complete is smooth and stress free. Plus this time, they went the extra mile to allow chips on my wndscreen to get repaired whilst on site, which saved myself and the person carrying out the repair the need to arrange for another date, which I was really grateful for. I was asked to deliver the Car by 9.00am as Chandlers could not pick up the Car due to Covid regulations as they normally do as I am disabled and assumed re a text that I would not be able to collect it until 2.00pm, I did this and was pleased to be informed that it would only take 90 minutes, so did some local shopping with my wife and returned after that time to be informed again that it would be yet another 90 minutes? so my wife and I decided reluctantly to wait and have a Coffee in the lounge area, after nearly 2 hours waiting we were then informed that it was a large service required and it would be another 2-21/2 hours as they had yet not started? we decided to take a Taxi home, while waiting for it we saw the car being driven across the road to the service dept? I returned again to Chandlers by Taxi after being informed it was finally ready, that was at at approx. 4.00pm - 7 hours to carry out my service !!! thus lucky to ger two stars

Bought my mini. It’s under warranty. Had an issue (software issue with the infotainment system). Took it in to be checked over. I told them prior to drop off that pick up would be a few days as I’m a healthcare professional and I work long shifts (sometimes 8am to 8pm). I was phoned a few times to say it was ready despite my previous warnings. Clear they got irritated and left it under a tree. It’s come back filthy (it certainly wasn’t in this condition when I left it there). Thanks Mini.

Steer clear of this company. After many many months of issues which included a buyback of a used car they couldn’t get the parts to fix, a rejection of a brand new lemon and some issues with the also brand new replacement, which they eventually washed their hands of (and another dealer fixed in a matter of days) they are now refusing to engage with the Motor Ombudsman. Absolute bunch of sharks

Service book was not stamped or signed on collection. Service light on the dashboard is still on. I called and emailed for an itemised list of work done and no one gets back to me or to fix the dashboard light. Was the service even done? Spent £550 on new tyre brake discs Mot and Service and no itemised list provided despite being promised and requested multiple times. Also previous review deleted.

Unfortunately my experience with Chandlers Brighton Mini was a negative one. My Mini was booked in for an MOT at 10am, whilst I understand that Covid 19 precautions make all interactions difficult I felt that I was an inconvenience. I checked the car in on the screen and left it to have it's MOT - I understood from the text I received that I had checked in successfully and that would get a text when the MOT was complete - from the check in I had expected this to be by 4PM. However 4PM came and went with no message so I phoned to find out how my car had got on. I arrived at the garage at the same time as a couple collecting their mini so I had to wait. Due to some delays I had to wait - during which time I was treated to a loud and rather negative assessment of a member of staff's abilities which I could hear from the next room. During my wait three members of staff walked through the area where I was standing without bothering to ask if I was ok - so my impression of Chandlers Brighton Mini - unwelcoming, uncaring and unprofessional, maybe they would have been more enthusiastic if I had been there to buy - or maybe not!

Mini Countryman in for its first MOT. Booked by James over the phone, loan car arranged. Dropped off with Matt. Took the option of text updates throughout the day excellent standard of Covid awareness & procedures and social distancing. Needed car collected mid time slot if possible and Matt ensured this was done. Car ready ahead of time. Great customer service yet again. Missed earning my Amex points today as they no longer accept it.

Booked a time to have my breaks done. The work started at 9 and was finished by 10:30 (they called us while we sat in the showroom, in front of them) I did not get my keys until 12:15!!! No apology, not explanation and some dirty gloves left in my car. When we said about the gloves we were told that they weren’t theirs and they “must be yours.” Won’t be going back there again anytime soon if I can help it.

I booked a full service, advised them that the air conditioning needed attention. I also requested that they did a safety check of the car as I was due to go on a long journey. When I collected the car I asked if this had been done, and if the tyres were all ok. I was told everything was ok, there were no issues to report. The tyre and the pressure had apparently been checked. 2 days later the tyre pressure warning indicator came up. I took the car to a local tyre garage. They pointed out to me that the tread on the front tyres was very low, they were in poor condition, and underinflated, and would not be safe on a long journey. Clearly no such check had been carried out by Chandlers despite my request. I also believe that the service was a 'rush' job. When I checked the car in at just after 8am, the first collection time I was given was between 2 and 4pm so selected this. At just after 2.30pm, the work on the car had still not been started. I was then told it would be ready at about 4.20pm. This seems a very short space of time for everything to be dealt with, so I am not surprised that certain things were overlooked. My concern is how much of the service was actually carried out. For example, I can see that the convertible roof mechanism has been oiled, but for instance the drivers door creaks when opened so I have had to attend to that myself.

Chandlers are absolutely fine - pleasant, polite and pretty fast, so no complaints there. Loved the video of the latest repair by Mick - really useful and in plain English. But I am ticked off that my Mini Paceman, a few months out of warranty, has had to have a new clutch (mainly paid for out of goodwill, to be fair) and a new water pump wheel (partly paid with goodwill - cost me £250 instead of £350). I’ve probably just been unlucky but these sorts of things makes me wonder about switching to a car maker with a longer warranty... Anyway, moan over. Chandlers absolutely OK.
