Lads Hand Car Wash

Changed my review from 5 stars which it has been for a few years. After over 17 years of visiting this car wash, today was my last day as I was spoken to and treated appallingly when I questioned how a Troc costs £20 to wash in and out and a 7 seater is charged £17. I even questioned how the 5 series BMW in front of me cost £15 because based on the size my car it is smaller than both!!! The guy who I believed was the manager/supervisor (because he's been there the longest and instructs staff what to do) looked at the back of my car and said its an SUV. Yes my car comes under SUV but its a mini SUV and by measurement it is smaller than the Ford Galaxy behind me which I tried to point out. This manager guy (who has been extremely pleasant to me for the many years I have been coming) switched on me threw down the soapy wash cloth and told me to leave with soap suds still on my car, he was directing me which was to leave and shouting. I stayed and explained that I am not trying to be disrespectful or offend him so he turned to another worker and shouted isn't Troc SUV price. I think he thought i was a new customer and he clearly did not recognise me because this is the first time I have brought my newly purchased Troc there and I have never seen or heard him carry on like that. Long story short they have lost a loyal customer and I no longer recommend people because they have put their prices up which is OK but you do not speak to people that way and I believe they robbed me because my car is a similar size to a golf my car is around 10 cm longer and 5 cm higher depending on the golf and in comparison to the Ford Galaxy (20cm higher, 60cm longer, 10cm wider in a nutshell it is bigger inside and out than my "SUV" and this doesn't make sense in my eyes. A juke that is higher than my car cost £15 in and out. Anyway like he said its his prices so I should basically go. So imma say ???????? b**** Plus my wheels were not washed properly because 8 mins down the road on a sunny dry day (no motorway/dual carriageway driving) they should not look like the pics attached. It is just one tyre but nonetheless his behaviour towards me impacted on his staffs attention to detail which is normally impeccable

Friendly, efficient and not overpriced

Very professional service. They look after two cars and our motorcycle - all treated as though it was his own. The boss is rightly pointing out if anything is missed, from removing child seats to detailing our motorcycle. Excellent.

When I visited it very busy and they did not do in and out properly car still dirty in places. I not go anymore as they too busy to care

I have been bringing my car here for the past 10 years. I always a great service and I am always treated like a valued customer, even though I rarely wash my car.

They washed the outside of the car, i got out as i needed to pay in cash, so went to bank machine as they were supposed to clean the inside, i got back after 5mins and my car was parked and locked, they said they cleaned inside, which they didn't. They charged £13, AVOID AT ALL COSTS, ITS A TOTAL RIP OFF

It's a conveniently located hand wash service at reasonable prices. They aren't a "detailing" service, and I wouldn't take a sports car here... But for your every day driver that already has daily wear and tear scratches this place is good value. The key thing to watch out for is the fact that they use the same mitts to scrub the wheels as they do for your bodywork. This is obviously a bad idea because the microparticles from the brake dust can cause scratches to your paintwork... Hence my earlier comment.

they do a great job at a reasonable price

Terrible service doesnt evenues deserve a star. Scrubbed too hard and pulled off a rubber piece from the window. Instead of owning up to it, the guy in charge started screaming his head off when I pulled his attention to it. Tried to tell me it was already like that even though I witnessed it with my own eyes. Then like a little boy he stormed off and refused to finish the job. All it would've taken is an apology and better attitude and would have charted it up to bad luck but clearly he has issues in himself and with his staff as while I was waiting in queue I saw him shouting at the same employee who caused the damage. Should ve seen it coming!

A good place to wash your car, I leave my sunglasses, cigarettes Etc in the car and go shopping while they wash it, they never touched them, Super friendly guys
