Used to like watching this programme. Just watched a women trying to sell her late husband's mk2 Jag. She wanted 10k more than fair price. He offered her 8k. The cheapest one for sale out there on the road right now is 15k. I honestly used to respect the man. Made a pound or two without ripping people off. Looking at the previous reviews am I not the only man thinking someone's getting a little greedy.

Wow what a shocking experience. I took the day off from work as my little boy was unwell. In the middle of moving so I wasn't dressed as I I would normally also my health isn't too good as I'm under hospital treatment. So I thought I would take a trip to find out what my gold was worth and to sell for my children to take them away for which maybe the last time in case anything happens to me. Well I was treated like scum and felt looked down appon. My lovely pieces of gold me and my lovely mother have collected over the years was slated as tat by the lady at the counter she was so rude . She pulled all my gold apart weighed it up and was under priced £2000 for all. She must have thought I was born yesterday. I also had 3 sovereigns and one was very rear. WELL NEVER JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER Darling. As she told me I won't get much for 3 sovereigns I had and tried to offer £365 for all 3. Hahahaha are you joking me did I really looked desperate. Well that was my illness showing. I was also under priced over £1000 for the ring on its own and as for the other two I have been offered £675.95. So please don't just take any offer do your research before you go here. As I did well being brought up with gold you never loss your touch.

Although the guy that attended to me was polite , their store is a top rip off, They try to take your stuff and offer you the lowest possible price, I took in a brand new chanel caviar jumbo and other brand new purses from balecianga,lv,marc jacobs stam etc and for 14 designer bags they wanted to give me 1000£ can u imagine 1k only buys the lv speedy? I couldn't believe and don't know who buys from them and how they are still in business. All their negative reviews are justified. Don't bother going there Oh a lady with a baby tried to sell a ring which was at least 5k, they wanted to give her £130 , of course she refused and walked out.

dreadful experience. sent 3, 18ct rings. 2 emerald and diamonds. 1 sapphire and diamonds and an 18ct brooch. One ring had a valuation certificate for £2.800. This ring cost my mum £550 second hand in 1976. I provided the paperwork. The sapphire and diamond ring was antique and of top quality valued by my local jeweller at over £1500. The other emerald and diamond ring was a large ring with a carat of diamonds. The brooch was antique tigers claw from the Indian raj sitting in 18ct gold mount. I posted them special next day delivery, insured for £2500 at the cost of £9. Aleesha offered me £1000 for the 4 items!! I was told the diamonds were very small?? and not worth as much as one big one!! Think i might know that..I was then told i had to pay £20 direct bank transfer as "that's what it costs" Well it doesn't actually..So. all in all i was made to feel that my mums stuff was insignificant .cost me £29 for the privilege of dealing with patronising staff. Had no contact to tell me my valuables were on the way back and i had to ring them for tracking information. DREADFUL SERVICE. NOTHING LIKE AS SEEN ON THE TELEVISION.

I have to agree with the other reviewers who have dealt with Prestige in the hope of selling items. The member of staff that dealt with me was also extremely patronising. She told me that the hardly used (limited edition LV bag - purchase price £475) was in extremely bad condition when it clearly was in almost perfect condition, and had the original protective cover bag. I suspect this line is what they've been instructed to say to every customer in order to help them secure a better price. The girl was young, and clearly inexperienced (probably a good receptionist . The price I was offered was £30 which is frankly insulting. But she told me the reason is because it would only fetch £80 at auction. That may be true but i'm actually surprised to learn that Prestige would sell the bag in a general auction. I would have thought that a company such as Prestige would be selling directly to a specialist market of interested buyers. Also if they are selling for £80 and only paying me £30 that's a very nice 167% profit margin, which means they are totally screwing me. It was lesson in credulity. Needless to say I thanked her and walked away.

I took a beautiful 10ct tanzanite set with 2ct diamond and a 1.70ct solitaire ring and a 1.60 old cut solitaire and1.00ct solitaire with certificate they offered me £3800 which was a piss take I think I took it down to road to another jewellers they paid me £9000 for just the 3 diamond rings and I kept the tanzanite ring. Really bad service dnt trust them

Having seen Posh Pawn on television I decided to take some unwanted jewellery , all gold and precious stones, some designer bags and two Cartier watches to Prestige while on a trip to London last month with a view to selling them. A young man with the sides of his head shaved and a pony tail dealt with me .I did not get his name but he said he had been trained as a gemologist. After examining the jewellery and making several rather nasty comments about the quality of the stones and the desirability of the watches he said "I will give you £460 for the lot and £10 each for the watches. " A young woman then looked at the bags 2 prada 1 mulberry 1 fendi and said they were worn . Well they are second hand, but she felt they would not be interested in any of them. Naturally I declined the offer for the jewellery and watches and was extremely shocked and upset by the experience but after a coffee decided to try some of the many other firms in Hatton Garden who buy jewellery. Prices varied from place to place but were never less than £2300 for the jewellery and £750 / £200 for the watches. I eventually sold the jewellery for £3000 and the watches for £2000 . Prestiges offer of £460 and £10 for the watches is insulting at best. If they had simply said the pieces were not for them and suggested I try elsewhere I would have understood. I found them rude and patronising as the last reviewer said not like the television show at all. I suggest anyone wanting to sell go elsewhere.
