Great communication throughout the booking of our pop up (feast) event hosted for 32 in the end all sat down, lots of prep space for food . Clean facilities, friendly host Shona. Modern facilities and loads of potential for other events in the future. Thank you

This is a really fantastic space to hire for your events needs whether you are hosting a yoga class, well-being event, supper club, networking event or a children’s birthday party. The space is very versatile and hire prices are reasonable plus Shona, the business owner, is very easy to deal with and can also help with marketing your event if required as an additional service as she has many years experience as a marketer. Shona also hosts the Self Employed Club for local entrepreneurs and business owners to meet regularly to discuss the challenges of running a business as well as making new connections in what can often be an isolated existence.

I attended the self employed club meet up for the first time last week. I enjoyed it very much. I was surprised by how comfortable I felt in the group. I really like the idea of being seated in a small group and then switching tables so you can meet different groups of people. I liked that there were no 40 sec/ 60 sec pitch. I am a new business owner, I was curious about what challenges other businesses have, and what they do, and the whole setting allowed me to have genuine conversations with other business owners.

Great space. Airy with lots of light. Long bar area, decent kitchen and requisite crockery/cutlery etc. The owner, Shona was extremely helpful when I used her space for my event #wearyourhappy live last week. If you're looking for a space to hire for many types of events I recommend you try this space out.

We held our baby’s first birthday at Space@61 and it was great - the space was perfect for such an occasion and Shona was so responsive and helpful which meant everything ran really smoothly.
The venue is really well stocked so we didn’t need to bring any crockery, cutlery or glasses. Would definitely use the space again in the future!

I ran an event for teen girls on 16 April at Space At 61, and I absolutely loved the space, and so did the girls. It was just the right size for our needs, and with the free-to-use kitchen space (along with plates and cutlery!), the event went smoothly without a hitch. Shona was such a pleasure to work with in making the event happen at the venue, and she answered all questions I had. I'm looking to hire Space At 61 regularly for future events.

I visited Space at 61 for the Self Employment Club and instantly felt at home with all who attended. I found all the attendees to be showing genuine interest in each other, and raising each other up, making connections and celebrating in each others success’.
I also though it's was cleverly organised so that no one was forced to have to speak to the whole room but everyone has an introduction and was listened to.
I highly recommend this.

We had a first birthday party here and it was just the perfect venue - great size, bright, clean and fresh interior, all glasses and platters etc you would need, a toy/activity corner, tables and chairs and so on. For the price it really is a special find; the owner could not have been more accommodating and friendly to us all - very happy customer :)

Shona was very easy to work with and Space@61 was a wonderful venue for our intimate event for baby loss awareness week. We comfortably sat 22 people on mats and cushions on the floor and enjoyed the facilities for making tea and serving cakes. I would definitely use it again for another event.

We rented space@61 for a weekend. Shona was so easy to communicate with. Right from the start she couldn't have been more accommodating. Really efficient with information and paper work. Lovely lady. The space was great for us, we used it for a pop up art exhibition and then decided to use the kitchen facilities and have pop up cafe with the exhibition. Really useful space and the whole experience was a complete success for us.

Hosted my daughters 1st Birthday & My baby shower here today. The venue was nice and had a large space for a soft play area we hired for the kids and room for chairs and tables too, perfect for a small kids party. Shona was so helpful and lovely throughout the process of setting up the party. Would highly recommend.

We just held our daughter’s 3rd birthday party here and it was a lovely venue. Nice peaceful location with good parking and easy for people to drive to. Shona was super helpful with all the planning and the kids had a brilliant time! It was great to have the freedom to use the space however we wanted and the great toy corner was a big bonus!

I have now attended a number of First Fridays and have spoken at one too! The atmosphere is very welcoming and supportive. There is a real sense of community with the group. Not only can you have a chat with like-minded people, there are the informative talks too. With plenty of tea, coffee and a lovely lunch too!

Venue - 10/10 good location for me in a friendly neighbourhood.
Customer service 10/10 - this includes the owner sincerely and evidently cared to me to do well.
Workspace 10/10 - able to plan effectively for our event as the owner was very flexible and prompt to answer requests.
Kitchen equipment 10/10 - provided a lot of things which we need.
Promises & agreement 10/10 - space 61 kept to all the promises and agreement. The owner is very flexible to ensure we get the best out of our event.
The owner 10/10 - provided opportunities to network as a result met some lovely and supportive people and businesses. The owner gives excellent service and advice.
Would I return? - 100% yes - My customers and I had a fantastic time. We really enjoyed working with the owner and members of the space 61 group . It is a great venue to have my kids birthday party too!

We held our daughters first birthday tea party on 20th Jan 2019. The space was amazing, it was perfect for exactly what we needed. We had full access to the Kitchen which has everything you ever need to host any function. The location was perfect with plenty of parking for our guests. Even had a toy corner for the little ones. All our guest's spoke so highly of our choice of venue also. Shona thank you so much for your help and for making it so easy for us to arrange. Your response times are 10/10 and you are an amazing lovely person. Highly recommend the venue. Thank you and look forward to using the space again xxxx

We recently had our post wedding dinner at Space at 61 and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The owner was really helpful in setting out options and the v reasonable price, and booking it was really easy. It’s a great, light, airy and comfortable space that you can decorate how you want. It’s also got a brilliant children’s corner full of toys and my partner’s kids loved it and were entertained whilst their parents were worry free. It also has a kitchen and the owner put us in touch with an amazing caterer. We would have spent more or the equivalent in a restaurant for all of our family but at Space at 61 we had a private dinner and a lovely space to relax and enjoy. We feel very lucky to have found it.

It’s really hard to find a space for a children's party that isn’t a massive hall. We had our daughter’s 4th birthday party here and it was great: 12 kids, one entertainer, a party tea. It was just enough space for the kids to have fun and parents to mill about. Shona was super-helpful from start to finish too.

SpaceAt61 is an amazing venue! In an easy to find location with lots of parking, this venue was perfect for my two daughters birthday party. Very spacious, clean and modern. There is a great toy and book corner at the back of the room which is great for kids to play with before the party games begin. We had access to the kitchen which has everything you need in there, and the bar/counter space is great too for party food prep and serving. Lots of wooden tables and wooden chairs also, so I easily sat 25 children. Also the venue owner is lovely and very helpful, and she makes sure you have everything you need.
A great local venue for me, I will definitely be hiring again!

I rented the space for a Supper Club and couldn't have had a better experience. The space is perfect in terms of size and set up for supper clubs, and it is very bright and airy. Shona was incredibly helpful, and the prices are competitive. I would thoroughly recommend Space at 61 for any sort of event.

If you're a small business owner in South East London looking to expand your network, I highly recommend the Self Employed Club events run by Shona at SpaceAT61 (and in other locations). The networking morning I went to last week was friendly, relaxed, very well organised and full of interesting people whom I genuinely wanted to chat to. The talks were also really useful. And the food was a lovely bonus!

Space @ 61 is a lovely venue. It's not huge but serves its purpose adequately if you want a cosy intimate venue for a gathering. The kitchen is small but completely functional, space behind the bar allows you to separate food from other proceedings. I thoroughly recommend this as a venue, transport links are good and there is adequate parking on the side roads.
It is very good value for money!

Shona's space is so fantastic for kids parties. We had our daughters 6th birthday party and hosted a number of animals, including a tortoise, 3 snakes, lizards and a huge tarantula! Everything was so easy thanks to Shona's speedy responses. There is everything you need from the well equipped kitchen to the pay area for smaller children. Thank you! xx

Shona was very helpful throughout and was also on hand on the night of my event and nothing was too much trouble for her which was lovely. The price is reasonable. The venue is nice and relaxed. The location is a little away from train stations but parking is easy nearby so not much of an issue. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.
