I had to make an appointment to visit. The associate who helped me was great. However, make sure to check in early. There were people who claimed to have an appointment, and the person who was checking people in was allowing them to skip over people with appointments. I nearly lost my place in the queue because of that.

At Jay st. Location. Had to make an appointment to reset my login info because no one ever picks up the phone. The actual branch is down the block and inside a courthouse and upstairs. Feels more like a villains hideout than a bank seeing how well they hid it.

i am disgusted with this credit union, its always a problem i would not recommend to anyone even though i have in the past if its not the president or vice president of this company stealing your money its the system from your log in to branch access i deposited my check last week and now its missing i increased my secure card limit and my score dropped 153 points and there is no history of my deposit even though i have a receipt showing that i did deposit my checks i will not continue to vent i plan to go up there tomorrow

There's always either only 1 or 2 tellers behind the glass.... or every human being in the bank is back there and still only 3 maaaaaybe 4 tellers assisting customers. The wait time is disgusting (pre-covid). The only time I've ever seen them move fast is the last 30 minutes before closing.

I wish that I could give it No star but I had to it it in order to write the review. This is the worst branch ever. Talk about attitude! If you don’t like your job than change it. They act as if you are bothering them. Like stay home or something. You should be lucky to at least have a job.

THE WORST BANK EVERRRRR!!!! Do yourself a favor and stay clear of them. You can never get anyone on the phone, if you do its after 45 mins to an hour. If you go in person make sure you are their when the door is open cause if you don't, you are going to be there for awhile. Cancel all your other plans. Hate i have to give it one star!!!!

Stay away from this location at all costs. Always understaffed and lines are LONG. Tellers move at a smalls pace and management does nothing to alleviate the situation. I've been to other branches and do not experience the issues do here. I don't know if this location is prioritized lower because of its clientele , but improvemens need to be made

The MCU Bank on Jay Street in Downtown Brooklyn is nice to check out if you need to deposit or withdraw and they have ATM Machines inside the bank as well and the people are friendly too and if you only want ATM Machines they have them down the street in this MCU bank one part is seated the other is standing room only check it out if your in the area ????????????????

Training Needed... I usually leave Brooklyn and go to the Manhattan location just because of how unpleasant the staff is at the Jay St location. I was hoping things had gotten better...The customer service is so bad it is funny...The people calling the K numbers appear to be very angry at customers for no reason. Please send these workers to the Lafayette office to see what customer service and treating your customers looks like.

I have been with MCU for past 16 yrs and have been treated like a person at all times. Kuddoes to the people who train the tellers. Polite is the way to go ..Luv them all especially when they call me by name. We are truly a family

I wish I could give no stars at all just to leave a comment I’ve been on the phone waiting 3 hours since 12:00 to speak to a representative and because of this pandemic they’re closing early at 4:00 today and still I haven’t gotten anybody to speak to to fix the problem I’m having with my card and they close soon sick and tired of calling to see if I can have something done over the phone

Warning be sure to bring a meal a pillow and a blanket... Just be prepared for a sleep over especially if you come here at the last ours of the day before they close... There's 12 Windows only 4 to 6 of them will have a teller and that is the average...

Stop complaining, we all know MCU needs more branches ,newer ATMS ETC ETC Besides all of the above I suggest you go at the top of the morning because even though the workers are great the wait can be “too long” for those who are “busy 24/7 “

I keep my dealings with MCU at a minimum when it comes to going into the branch as it's always a nightmare. The wait times are ridiculous most times...that in itself gets on my nerves. They're systems are very outdated. Only great thing i experienced was the credit unions home buying seminar....that was very helpful.

This is the worst place to do business. You have to wait hours to do anything even to get a printout of your banking information. They make you stand in line for a teller and even took away the benches for sitting. I've been here for an hour and I'm still 3 numbers away from mine.

Go inside this branch at your own risk. No bathrooms. Wait time can and WILL be over an hour. This has been my primary banking facility for almost 3 years and I've only been inside 3 times and have regretted it every time The app is glitchy but generally gets the job done. Idk what the deal is but I never get someone who is friendly. There's plenty of windows yet usually only 3-6 are ever staffed. It's a hot mess and if there was a better credit union option in NYC I'd definitely take it. Plus:I get my checks early

I've been with MCU since 2012 with an active checkings account and this union has yet to honor my loyalty with approving me for personal loans or a higher line of credit, for over draft protection. They evaluate harder then third party credit companies.As far as going to the branches on Wednesday's for teller services or atm, its lines swinging around. The fraud systems are very useful. But, ibdont like if you don't answer the automatic call, they will lock your card. I like my early deposits!

Since my last review it has improved some what. There is no more number to take for teller services. You just have to wait on a long line. If you want anything other than teller service you do have to take a number. Prepare to wait a while. When they finally get to your number they do their job well.The other improvement is that you have a coin machine. There is a line of old people changing their coin. I was annoyed that some of the security staff were critiquing, and commenting on customers appearance, and guess they are not busy enough. I found this to be very unprofessional. They close the door by 1:30 pm and they are supposed to close at 2 pm on Saturday. There is long waiting times. If you have to go in make sure you have no other plans. You will be there an hour. The Bronx location is even worse.

I'm not giving this bank one star because of this specific branch, I'm giving it one star has a financial institution in its entirety. No customer service hotline everything is automated and there website sucks. Thankfully it's my secondary bank so I don't have to deal with them on a day to day basis.

Worse customer service EVER !! I mean in any type of business !!! They are the worst of the worst !! After finally getting through to a live person so I could find out early payoff. Amount . I paid my whole loan balance off early , yet 2weeks later the Account still says I owe & no one can tell me why !! But yet they keep calling me every day & being Nasty saying my monthly payment is due and account is being marked for collections !!! I looked into my chase account & it clearly shows the money has been funded to MCU 15days ago So I would like to ask them Do u want me to just keep paying a monthly bill for account that's been paid off in FULL ???

Stay far away from MCU. City Council will soon be bringing the entire organization under investigation. MCU is literally the very worst Credit Union you can bank with. ---Crazy hours, unhelpful employees (who also have attitudes), awful customer service, subpar banking services, and branches that are not full service. ATM's are constantly out of order, the online banking system is from 1998, and the CEO was recently indicted for stealing money from the company. FYI: Be prepared to spend about 25 minutes on average when you go to MCU. There will always be an issue to delay you.

The turnover rate here is 15-45 minutes for a coin machine to be serviced. They all were friendly but I just felt as if I was being passed off over and over again. Every branch seems to have no urgency.

If you're not there BEFORE the doors open don't even bother. There's no bank on earth that's more crowded than this location. If you get there say, 15-20 minutes after they open you'll be sitting there for 2 hours waiting to see the teller. I once left in anger, went all the way to the branch in Manhattan, stopped at the post office, ate breakfast at McDonald's and just for the hell of it came back to this location and my number still wasn't called!!!

Why would you close at 4 pm on the busiest area at the busiest time ? People were also waiting to go inside and the manager just slammed the door in our faces . Rude ... Then to top it all off the MCU in Coney Island and Staten Island both have "down" machines to create cards so I have to head all the way to FLATBUSH! Just inconvenient, the entire experience!

WORST BANK EVER. A week ago I went out shopping with my family in Long Island. Then we went to have lunch at a restaurant. I received a call from MCU stating they believe theirs been credit card fraud on my account because the card was used at a Home Depot in Brooklyn. I stated the purchase wasn't mine and their process was to freeze my card on a Saturday. I follow-up with the matter Monday morning and the Manager stated that I need to fill out paperwork that could take up to 7-10days to resolve. And the closest MCU to my home in Oceanside, NY no longer gives out temporary debit cards. I stated to the manager "I was a victim of a BS fraud charge of $36 and now I have to wait 7-10days to receive a new card and send you paperwork. I went to the Oceanside MCU and withdraw all my money. I WILL NO LONGER BANK WITH MCU. P.S. MCU has yet to contact me regarding this matter after the conversation with the manager. They don't give a damn about their customers.

The worst bank to ever bank with .... the worker are incompetent and don't listen .... 10 damn windows but only 1 serving ppl then you try to see a representative you're waiting a thousands for your number to be called ... then the online banking sucks the app never loads and when it does all it does is freeze and sign you out ... how can bank like this ????????????????????????????
