Looking for a second hand car. There was a salesman from their sister company across the road helping out for the day who was much more helpful than the staff actually working there. They were disinterested and made you feel they couldn't give you the time of day. Not a great experience and if that's how they make one feel I took my business elsewhere. One who actually want to sell you a car.

I booked an appointment to test drive a car. I turned up and was rudely ignored by one of the staff . When we we’re seen, we discussed our requirements further , to later be denied and not able to test drive the car because we showed him a price of a car 120 miles away on our phone which we didn’t say we were going to buy, he then rudely told us to go to that dealership and test drive it their and in the end we didn’t get to test drive the car even though we booked an appointment this was a horrible experience.

Fantastic and faultless all round. From booking the test drive in the car and putting down a deposit all the way to picking up the car. The whole process was straightforward, simple and easy. I advise anyone looking for a Hyundai dealership to use this one! Chris R is a superb sales executive and even sorted out a midnight pickup on 1st March which not only meant I got the car before anybody else but have an amusing story to go with it. Big thanks to all at Tates Hyundai!

I recently purchased a hyundai i20 from this garage and I can highly recommend them. They are extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Nothing is too much trouble, and Ian who helped us with the purchase was so kind and even sent a follow up email to make sure all was well with the car. The best sales team I have experienced.

Been having such a hard time finding the right dealer and thanks to tates wide variety of cars to choose from and also being met by one of the most polite and knowledgeable staff members Chris, he was able to walk me through every detail that led me to finding the car that was absolutely perfect suiting my needs and budget. I tried to order a part through this garage as a broken wheel stud had ruined our travel plans between christmas and new years. They told me they would call back the next morning to let me know if they were able to get the part or not. I left a message straight after on the answerphone to get a price as I forgot to ask. They never called back, and when I called them the next day no one answered and the answerphone message states they aren't there from 12pm. We could've gone with another garage or tried to order this part elsewhere, but now everywhere else is also closed. This means we won't be able to go away for new years eve because of poor customer service. Very disappointed.

I recently went into Tates Hyundai and spoke to someone called Ian, with regards to getting My first Motability car as it is all very new to me.
He explained throughly how the process worked, and offered to take me
out in one of the cars I was interested in to give me a good insight.
He made me feel very welcome, and I will go back to Tates when I am ready to make a decision.
Have to say it was a very enjoyable experience.

Good parking area. The staff gave us 5 minutes of there time & were not helpful in looking for what we wanted & no intentions followed up. also a friend of mine was looking for the same model. Customer service wasn’t good in our experience. I Came away feeling very disappointed. We had much better service at Crawley Hyundai & the staff were friendly & helpful. 2 cars found that we both wanted at Canterbury Hyundai on there web site & transported to Crawley Hyundai.. brilliant service at Crawley....

The only thing I can say is that the customer service and repairs/car service is absolutely awful. There is a guy called Peter and he was horrible and RACIST!???? horrible attitude and disgusting behaviour. I guess he doesn't like to deal with non-english people!???? He definitely needs help! I've reported to the police about his behaviour. I went to seaford Hyundai for my other issues with the car because portslade didn't fix it. I am very happy with seaford Hyundai. Please don't go to portslade! Don't waste your time and money! They are not professional.!!! ????????

Worst customer service,went in to test drive ioniq plugin hybrid and first go it looked like he didn’t want to,kept on saying the car won’t be available for 4-6 months,so what?i came for a test drive that’s up to me to decide if I will wait or not! guess he saw the look of me and decided I can’t afford it,Black guy in shorts and riding a bike????
Anyway thanks for making my mind up for me,am getting a Kia Niro hybrid plugin,just placed the orders.
