During my visit to our local coop today, i placed a few regular household items onto the counter ready for purchase. During the transaction i ask for a tobacco product to which i was asked to lower my face mask by a younger lady working on the kiosk. I questioned why that was necessary and to my surprise (considering we are in a pandemic) was told it was to “see my age” Surely, the most efficient and safest way to carry this out would have been to ask for identification, which i am assuming is the correct procedure to follow normally. It was clear to see i was above the legal age, having grey hair and almost turning 53. Disappointed in my visit to the shop today is an understatement.

A bit pricey, but always a special or bargain to be had. I can nip in because it is near our house. Saves time. Staff polite and helpful. Always clean and easy to see prices.

No hand gel as container empty at entrance. No offer to refill. Shop assistant did not seem to be aware of how to socially distance. Moved far too close to me. The rest of the shopping experience was ok.

Unhelpful staff. No one observing social distancing or following the directional arrows & no one bothered when I mentioned it. Didn't feel at all safe so walked out. Lots of empty slots on the shelves.

You cannot expect to run a store successfully from head office! get yourselves a manager who will put some life into the place, and rely on him to do the ordering from situ.
It's a question of playing catch up and getting with it and going from RED to getting in the BLACK.

This store gets worse never much on the shelves, they must get fresh air delivered when they have there deliverys because stock has been low or empty for a long time, think it's time someone with some ordering skills got a job there, and god knows who the manager is as hardly ever see them.

It's ok, but not been the same since it was 'down graded by the Co-op. Loads of 'line's disappeared leaving less choice. The shelves and fridges are often sparse because they are waiting for deliveries. Asda has hit them hard.......and when I can't find it in the Co-op I go up to Asda. Tried to remain loyal to Co-op.......but it's extremely challenging. Staff brilliant - Margaret, Nat, Kirsty, Alison and Ali........all been there years.......all provide cheerful happy polite service. Keep smiling ????
