Its ok for a quick shop, weekly roast etc. Find it difficult to do a full shop, limited selection with items quite small.
Always require a top up shop after being here.

Well! This was my 1st visit in about a year due to shielding, go through 1st door, No sanitiser for trolley or hands. Great start for my Anxiety, 2nd door, everyone in front go straight passed the next sanitiser station, which I used and sent my husband back through to 1st station with a spare spray.
Then the 1st isle! Well what can I say, total chaos, soo much for the traffic light system. I felt physically ill and panic set in. I've never shopped so quickly in my life, and then on our way out, there was no sanitiser at all. So my 1st shopping trip in over a yr was horrific.. ????

Did a shop with the intention of using one of the school vouchers today, paying on card for the rest of the amount. At the checkout (checkout 8 at closing time 31/01) woman was extremely unhelpful and seemed to be in a bad mood, when we needed help with both voucher and taking items away as it was over what we had.
Not only was the entire experience the most degrading and embarrassing thing, we didn't even get a smidge of empathy from the lady at the checkout, I understand she may be stressed but as people using school vouchers to pay for food, you can see that we are really struggling.
I'm not a karen by any means, but I think some workers need to improve their customer service skills, especially to vulnerable customers.

I visited Aldi Loughborough on the 19th Nov. They had plenty of sanitizer at the entrance which no one seemed to be bothered to use for their hand's or trolley. No security on the door so as many as wanted could go in. Security desperately needed with a clicker. Floor markings are in place but no one took any notice. A few people were walking around with either masks under their chin or noses exposed. When will they learn. The store had plenty of everything we needed and more. Checkout was fully protected staff pleasant. But all in all with people not adhering to proper use of masks and distancing it was an uncomfortable shopping trip.

Traffic light system worked well. Sanitiser and wipes as u walk in. Safe distancing strips laid out. Shield between you and cashier. All in all a civilised experience. We went before 10.00 am so can't comment on later in the day.
