Every time is go for an appointment, the staff is so welcoming and upbeat! I so appreciate the fast response on the patient portal! If I need script refills, they’re done right away. Dr. B and her staff are awesome. They have helped me immensely, especially Heather! She’s the best. Would recommend Mentally Strong to everyone!

Worst experience with a "health care" provider I've ever experienced. And that's saying something. They seem nice, but, actually getting the scrips I need has been fraught with stress and mistakes. Big mistake trying them out. I went by the number of stars online. Somethings fishy with that, just sayin'. 2 to 3 times the price of their peers. Convoluted bill, dishonest charges. Awful experience, although some appear to be nice.

Least helpful doctors office ive ever been to you would be better off not going especially if you have a panic disorder or ptsd they aren’t adequate treatment. they have caused me so much anguish and frustration stay away unless you want a lazy doctor that dose not care about your well being or happiness just his bottom line and liability I repeat do not go here if you have ptsd or panic disorder they are not able to help you.

This place has put me on so many different types of medication in a few weeks, and I’m really sensitive to new meds. I was falling asleep talking because I was so tired from not sleeping. My anxiety was so bad I’d only have around 4-5 hrs of sleep for over a month. I’ve been trying to get on my old anxiety meds and it feels like I’m not being listened to. They didn’t even have all of the medication I was taking on file. I came in with shakes that wouldn’t stop, my head hurting, constipated like no other, and it took me to see my old pain doctor for her to tell me I was taking too much hydroxizine that I was exceeding the normal limit by a few hundred mg. They knew I was on this medication, I don’t understand why they didn’t open their eyes to it until I saw my old pain doctor that was a student there. I came in the next day because my shakes wouldn’t stop, and they told me there was nothing they could do for me. Every time I go in there, I see someone new, whether it’s a nurse or a counselor, it’s always someone new. I feel like they’re doing more damage than good. I asked them for what I actually wanted and I wasn’t messing around. I was prescribed what I used to take zyprexa/Prozac mix pill, 12/50 I go to the pharmacy to pick it up and I have only 2.5 mg of zyprexa and 80mg of Prozac. I don’t know if my insurance is going to pay for the mixed drug because I had to pick this up. They don’t have an after hours number or anything. I don’t know what to do. Can someone please get ahold of me tonight?

My son's counselor has cancelled his appointment 2 weeks in a row and then can't reschedule him for another week. He's hasn't had a session in over 3 weeks. How is this supposed to help him? Very disappointed in the treatment he is receiving here. Recommend finding a place with reliable help. "I'm sorry " doesn't help my son.

Update #2: I had my first Spravato session here today and I am sold. This establishment is amazing. Everyone who works here is incredibly kind and patient - from the front desk staff, to the medical staff, the students - everyone is upbeat and well informed in patient care. I really wish other establishments, psychiatric and otherwise, would take note from how wonderfully ran this place is. The staff here listens and communicates very well, which I am learning is hard to find. EXCELLENT source for trauma informed care. I love love love this place, can't say enough good things about it and have nothing negative to say.
Update: Had my first consultation here today and I am floored by how absolutely warm and friendly all of the staff here are. I've seen several psychiatrists/therapists over the years (I've moved a lot) and have to say, the entire team here seems to truly be committed to providing a positive and healing atmosphere. I truly felt as if the intake doctor/np genuinely listened to me and am relieved to have found an establishment that's earning my trust so quickly !
Just booked my first appointment, the receptionist was kind and welcoming, and booking was a simple process! Thank you, Shane (? sorry, my connect was a lil fuzzy), I look forward to my upcoming consultation! :)

Unorganized and unprofessional.
On one of my last visits Dr.B became frustrated with me and led me to tears because I didn't want to try another medication for the tenth time, which I explained changing meds every week or two was not helping. Which that was the last straw for me. And a year later they decided to send me a bill for 160 with no explanation. I have tried giving a call but no response. I'm happy for all who have had great experiences.

I received Spravato treatments from March through October 2020. Initially, those treatments were in a closet-sized private space with a reclining chair, however as her practice/# of patients grew, she routinely attempted to schedule these treatments in "non-medical settings" like a small conference room with a large table and straight back non-reclining office chairs. When I told her staff that I didn't feel safe with so many hard edges, her office manager shared that they were only "required" to provide a comfortable chair, the office manager even acknowledged that the chairs in the conference room were not comfortable but made no effort to fix the situation. In the middle of a worldwide pandemic, it was obvious that the room had not been wiped down. I experienced a 5-week lapse in weekly Spravato treatments because of their inability to manage their scheduling. Most hurtful, especially for a Mental Healthcare Provider was that their Office Manager yelled after me and called me crazy when I canceled the appointment in a conference room and all future appointments with this practice. Medication management was a nightmare and they only work M-TH. I've never had so much difficulty getting a damn refill, and as unorganized as they are, they only wanted to do 30 day prescriptions. One provider told me that they couldn't prescribe more than that, which was total BS, because my last provider regularly provided 90 day prescriptions. This is definitely not a customer centered practice based on their workweek and hours, no weekend or after 5 pm appointments here. I can echo the other negative reviews unorganized, unprofessional, and I had an NP offer me a lower than therapeutic version of a drug because/because even after I told her that what she was prescribing wasn't working. I too felt like a child and whoever reads these reviews and writes the same trite response, clearly you don't take feedback seriously. I have politely offered you quite a bit and you just don't learn. I loved the concept of this practice -- Mental Strength, and I also realize it must take a lot to manifest that attitude throughout your practice. I've mostly felt punked down by this practice until I just couldn't take it anymore. If you want a thoughtful provider that will work with you collaboratively, this is not the place.

Upon first visit I thought I was getting proper psychiatric help on top of therapy. Upon the second visit I felt that these people were not really here to listen. I sat and talked to a therapist for over an hour explaining that I just had moved here from East Coast, explained to her that I was on a specific regiment of meds from my previous doctors in NJ and that I wished to continue this for a little while longer as I transitioned over. Needless to say this therapist while a good listener was not able to help me at all. During the last five minutes of my session she brought in the nurse practitioner who prescribed me my medicine, trying to cut me off from one of the meds that keeps me stable. This felt like an absolute betrayal as she had not just sat in the room and heard my life story for the past hour. Who was she to tell me what has worked for me for the past fourteen years? And instead of the therapist writing down notes she had me fill out a bubble circle chart and started to talk to me about vision boards, as if I, at 38, didn't already know what that was. I felt like no one there was really helping me, as they simply pulled off a brief description of my medications side effects off of some random site, not really explaing any reasons why they wanted to change my meds. I felt like I was treated like a little child.
I will not be going back there again and for anyone who has serious depression and debilitating anxiety deep seeded issues, this is the last place I would recommend. I don't see any reason to be going back there and spending well earned money to be thrown back out into the world dry and broken.
It felt like nothing short of malpractice.
Nope nope nope. Do not invest your time here of you have serious disorders that may need a casual dose of a controlled substance, particularly working anxiety medication. Being one of the third of the population that responds to these medications, I don't think these people really know what they're talking about. The therapist didn't know about half the things I was saying to here and barely recognized the medication I was taking.
So that's it. Hope this review helps someone.
I've already made an appointment with PeakMed and I've already spoken to two people prior to my appointment and have already told me they would help me as soon as possible. I'd recommend trying there.

Great place! The professionals here know what they are doing and go the extra mile, in friendly relaxed way. I have been going here for the last three months and had no problems with billing or insurance. Everyone that works here really does care and makes me feel comfortable. The choice-mapping has been a game changer for me. I highly recommend this place.

She's a fine practitioner, but why do Nurse Practitioners use other unrelated degrees to call themselves doctors. Her "doctorate" is in education. Why isn't it ok to be a NP? You shouldn't use "Dr. B" unless you are in your educational setting. I've known many NP's who were better than many Psychiatrists I've known, yet the degree is different and it is misleading people to be called Dr.

Horrible experience! Insurance scam. I took my son for medicine. They were rude, uninformed, unprofessional, & predatory. They wanted us to commit to months of therapy before prescribing meds. Scammers dressed up like clinicians. They got my money. My son got ZERO. They hold their Rx pad over your head as a lure to bill you for as many visits as possible before actually prescribing. The doctor feigns like Prozac is a narcotic. Somehow she knows my son better after 5 minutes than I do after 10 years.

We followed this doctor from another practice because she was that amazing. Extremely disappointed and do not recommend anyone to go here unless you’re not in a rush to receive your medication. Called MULTIPLE times (a day) over a period of a week (our pharmacy, my husband and myself all were trying.) when we were running low. No response. Sadly will not be returning.

My daughter has been a patient for over 2 years and I was so impressed with her care that I decided to transition my care as well. We have seen several providers in the Colorado Springs and Denver area none of which compare to the excellent care that we receive here.

I haven't felt this comfortable in any place. I can be myself. Probably because this staff of professionals has seen everything under the sun. They are honest to a fault. No sugar coating of any kind. If you don't like the way they are helping you, you probably aren't working hard enough to want to change yourself. They've helped me stop making myself out as a victim of society and my own circumstances that I created. Everyone can use a kick in the pants now and then. I sure did. I see a lot of 5 stars and I am so happy for everyone that found this place to be amazing. I for one was very disappointed. My child had seen a psychiatrist before this NP who regulates his meds. He also was evaluated and diagnosed by a neuropsychiatrist. He is 17 years old and has care since 1st grade by highly qualified professionals. His psychiatrist was deployed so we had to find someone else. They were very rude about his concerta medication. The NP asked if he had ever been evaluated for Bi polar without even talking to him or me. It was the first thing that came out of her mouth which I thought was very weird. They are anti meds and basically told me the actual psychiatrist, not just a NP like her, might not know what he was doing. I guess the neuropsychiatrist did know what she was doing either. It was a very uncomfortable and strange appointment which we ended up leaving in the middle of because it clearly wasn’t a good fit for us.
