I called to ask a simple question about the post office and after the 6th attempt which they answered the guy dodged the question hanging up on me. After 10 more attempts I decided to go there and ask in person and just out of curiosity called them from the actual shop. It was not busy... just ignoring every single phone call. Would rather make a trip to London and back riding a unicycle without a SEAT just to buy gum than stepping foot in there again.

They have a nice, broad selection of things here, but make sure you know exactly how much you're paying before you go to the til... I went there the other day and bought four £1 sandwiches for £4. He puts them in a bag and says "that'll be 4.98"... I gave him enough money as I always do- then I realised he was asking for 98p extra and I was like "what?"... He tried to charge me 98p extra for a plastic bag without even asking if I wanted one and acted confused. -__- I ended up being swindled out of 50p during the confusion... which I take 100% responsibility for as I was caught off guard. But my point is that we should never be on guard because cashiers should be trustworthy. He used a tactic commonly used by people in lesser developed countries when dealing with tourists: creating confusion and then acting confused, to take advantage of the fact that we've learned to trust cashiers to give the right change, so we'll give them the benefit of the doubt. Such an eye-roll... So just double-check how much everything is before paying here. Obviously 50p is a tiny amount, but hopefully the people at Family Shopper will see this and remember that it's not ok to rip people off at all, whether it's 50p or £50, or whether someone is broke or rich. This is just a basic principle that holds a good community together so I felt duty-bound to report this. Hopefully they see that ripping people off isn't worth the damage it does to their reputation and they'll stop doing it. If there's no other reports of this happening in the next 6 months (I'm posting this in Dec 2020) you can bet they've stopped doing it.

The guy here is a complete scam artist...he strikes up conversation and is really overly friendly with you when ringing up your items...he’ll either put them through at whatever price he feels like (often 4 or 5 times the retail price) or he’ll just add an extra 0 onto the the card machine and hope you don’t notice when you tap your card / phone. When you challenge him he acts as if it’s a mistake. I’ve given up going here now.

Rude behaviour towards customers, and the owner rips you off if you use their copier.

Staff are always friendly and helpful. Prices can be a little on the high side but you are paying for convenience, which personally, I have no problem with (as long as they are reasonable, which this shop is) that said, there are often some bargains to be had if you look carefully enough. Post office counter open at the front of the shop when the main counter at the back closes!

Apparently you can’t purchase any lottery with card transactions only cash. Also I and some of my friends and relatives noticed we never won anything with scratching cards but already won in other places. I think that place owned by the indians is just dodgy and some things are happening.... Sorry but gota be said...

Rude attitude fake eyebrow girl behind the counter! I was going to drop the fact that they're blatantly selling dodgy scratcg cards, but now I'll be reporting it to the council first thing tomorrow morning.

Double check your prices when shopping there. It will say £1.50 for 2 but you end up paying £2 at the till and they act oblivious to it.
