Don’t recommend at all. It’s impossible to get ahold of them for ANYTHING! When you’re on antidepressants & out of refills & you can’t get anyone to answer, is horrible & scary! Even the pharmacy can’t reach them. What do you do?! This seems to be a reoccurring thing. Had my appointment a month ago, now I’m out of antidepressants with no refills, when I should have at least 3 months worth, & surprise surprise, the office is closed & nothing I can do. Horrible place.

I had my 1st phone conference a few weeks ago with Dr. Mensah. I can honestly say that I have never had a Dr. spend so much time in trying to put all the pieces together of a very complex situation. Thank you so much, Dr. Mensah.

Dr Mensah is one of the best Doctors in Beaumont. Caring, kind and attentive. Wouldn't reccomend any other Psych doctor in South East Texas!!

I had an appointment to see this doctor for about 6 weeks.... It is just so happened it was scheduled the day after hurricane Laura hit. Obviously that was something that couldn't be prevented. So I called them Monday morning to find out about my appointment because they were out of town last week. They told me they've been trying to call me since Monday.... Well that was Monday....then I said it'd be another 4 weeks before I could see them... This was not right... I realize hurricane wasn't their fault but it wasn't my fault so they couldn't work me in? I've been waiting this long and I don't got to wait another month to see them. Not very kind people. They don't care nor considered enough to really even call you.

This place is very unorganized and unprofessional. Gave me the run around after referral was sent from pediatrician office, gave me one appointment date and then come to find out the appointment is a month away from the original date. Staffed talked about a coworker while I was on the phone. I don’t recommend only because of the staff and we never got to see a doctor or nurse practitioner. Just sad it’s been a month since referral and another month for an appointment.

FINALLY! We have a good source for treating emotional/psychiatric/mental health issues in Beaumont. I have a family member who goes to Dr. Mensah, and we find him to be cutting edge and able to talk to the younger generation. ALL of his staff are super friendly and understanding. Highly recommend!

He’s not devoted to his patients I could say so much more. Also the comment below me... where was that help for me during the holidays they don’t have an answering service so I don’t see how that was even possible and it’s got me feeling pretty bad. Plan on waiting 1-2.5 hours before seeing him. Also once he gets to know you he shuffles you out quickly 5-10 min. I have been highly upset with him since putting me on a new and dangerous medication right before closing his doors for the holidays. This caused many problems for me and my family. I talked to him over the phone when he did reopen and I was soo put off by his lack of devotion

Can you say world's most ghetto office. I am completely floored at this office staff. The young lady that answers the phone is completely unprofessional and lacks empathy. They are laughing and joking in the back ground as if the issues that you are calling about are comical. I have never felt so uncomfortable with a doctors office ever. So much for all the great reviews about Dr. Mensah because unfortunatley, I will never get to meet him. Your office staff sets the tone for the practice and unfortunately this first impression was not a good one.

Dr. Mensah is hands down the best and most personable psychiatrist in Beaumont, and, I’d argue, probably East Texas. I feel comfortable talking to him and know he’s actually listening. Great psychiatrists are hard to come by sometimes, and Dr. Mensah is one of those rarities. Even after my husband’s job relocated us 4 1/2 hours away from Beaumont, I still drive to see Dr. Mensah. That’s how wonderful he is and how helpful he’s been to my personal betterment. Add to that his hardworking staff—the ladies up front are funny, friendly (even when busy), and kind to my toddlers (when I have them in tow)—and what you get is the beat psychiatric clinic around.

Dr. Mensah is good. However the staff is extremely unprofessional and continously overbooks appointments. I have had to wait over 2 hours to see him before. They are very curt and rude. I am sorry to say that due to no fault of Dr. Mensah I will have to find another office to go to with staff that places more value on my time and customer service.
