I rarely write reviews but I feel the customer service from this store is a review. I've bought two bikes from different Evans Stores over the years (not this one) and have had not so excellent service but since moving to the area the staff of this store (one gentleman in particular, thank you for the wheel boxes and for the hollow tech bb tool adapter) have always gone out of their way to help me, twice getting me out of a sticky situation mid bike build! I use the shop for spares, parts and maintenance bits, the staff are always helpful and informative.

Very friendly and helpful staff. A month ago I came to get the air for tyres but accidentally broke the little thing that goes inside the inner tube and the whole tyre went flat. The guys took the bike in straight away, and I came tomorrow to collect the bicycle and it was fantastically done and completed. Both tyres in great order. Many thanks guys!????

I have waited over a month for my bicycle, but this I understand given the current covid situation. After waiting a month, I was refunded for the bicycle with absolutely no communication or acknowledgement from Evans Cycles. I have tried to get in touch to find out why, but no response. Absolutely non existent customer service - and now all the bicycles in my price range are out of stock, after waiting patiently for absolutely nothing. Will not be returning, and will share my experience with anyone looking to buy a bicycle so they know to avoid you.

Most unhelpful staff ever. Mostly incompetent. Feel like they are trying to charge you for everything the moment you send your bike there. Don't trust the staff member! One staff checked my chain saying my chain needs replacing and spun my wheel a few times then suggested a higher charge for servicing when in fact I have changed my chain with Halford very recently, had servicing done as well and have not used my bike much since then! Then there is another staff who is less than helpful, very unpleasant to talk to and hardly ever smile. I wonder if they hate their job so much there. Absolute disgusting behaviour. I feel like as if I owe them big money when I was in store. There is no customer service whatsoever. No answer to phone calls. No confirmation emails for booking etc. Information given wasn't pass onto another. Absolute disgrace and please don't spend your time and money here. If there is zero star, I would happily award it to them!

Ordered a bike online. when it arrived I thought it had a faulty pedal. I was furious because I could not get through to Evans Cycles by phone, so posted a negative review. However I took the bike and pedal to one of their branches in W2 where they attached the pedal on to the bike very swiftly. Happy with the service hence the updated review to 4 star. Reason for 4 star being that the pedal should have been made less difficult to attach. Otherwise would have given a 5 star review.

My chain got stuck on my frame and it was really hard for me to take it out. Michael helped me fix it and he was also so kind to nice a couple more flaws with my mudguard. So professional and kind, made my afternoon. Thank you Michael!!!

I came into the store today at about 3pm and recieved very good service from a young guy who helped me with some pedals. At one point 2 men came in and started behaving very rudely (not wearing masks, cutting in line, ordering the staff members around, refusing to respect the 1 in 1 out policy) and this guy handled the situation in a very mature manner and did not rise to the 2 old & decrepit men's sad attempt at having a pointless argument and trying to cause trouble. I think whoever this guy is he deserves a big pay rise. I don't know his name.

Friendly service from specialists who are happy to explain things you may not understand, affordable and accessible prices for both accessories and servicing. It's best to make yourself known (as if you were shopping in Paris) I'd say, as the guys working here have probably got their heads down focusing on something. I went in yesterday to get my brakes replaced, and within an hour or so I could pick my bike up - this was on a busy day apparently. Cheers guys!

The manager Eva is an absolute disgrace. No manners at all, has a superior complex disorder, she doesn't help with customer queries, she's too important for that. If you try and ask politely, she'll shut you down in the most rude and abrupt way. I feel sorry for the general store staff who are polite, helpful and courteous and possess people skills. The same cannot be said for the apparent store manager Eva!

Completely outraged. I have a bike for click and colelction in the store, when I go to the store to collect a man called Pete says their order systems were down so they wouldn't be able to give me my bike but that he'd give me a call the next day in the morning to sort something out. Lo and behold he didn't. That was a week ago. I've been trying to call them every hour of every day since then. Don't use Evans it's obvious they don't train their staff well enough.

Really good experience. The shop assistant helped me carefully to get measurements for the helmets and other stuff I needed. It was a shame that they did not have a lot of stock of any of the articles announced on the web. But it's available online anyways.

My order is delayed by almost a month. They will not answer my emails and the contact form on the website is broken. If you call they pick up then hang up without speaking. Go to any other cycle shop if you want a bike. I used to think Evans cycles are reliable but they are just stealing money and taking advantage of the covid situation.

Poor customer service from the manager. 1. The manager admitted to leaving me to wait in the shop for 20 minutes after my flat tyre had been fixed and was ready. He said he was putting away the delivery. 2. After collecting my bike I was getting ready to roll and noticed the back break (the same wheel that had the flat tyre) was not functioning at all. As I was just outside the shop I brought it back and explained the problem. The manager immediately accused me of initially bringing in the bike in without a functioning back break. Clearly I hadn't just commuted 5.5 miles without a back break. They fixed break that they had broken for no extra fee, thank goodness The shock of essentially being told you are a lier by someone supposedly providing you with a service has left a very bitter taste in my mouth. Thanks to Jordan for booking the bronze service. If Evans would like to get back to me, please do privately. .

There is An old man the most useless person I've ever seen, I wanted to have my flat tyre fixed and he asked me to bring the bycicle at 9 am and as I start work at 8 am it is impossible for me, and just suggested him to leave the bike there and pick it up on the next day he said no chance, I can't understand why. I was speaking 2 meters away from him and every time I tried to lift up my mask ???? he tells speak trough the mask and at the same time a person of the staff stays next to him with a completely pulled down mask, I think these people don't respect customers and monye.

I have been coming to this store for years. Always experience great service, weekends are more busy, but they have good team on the shop floor. You have to wear mask atm while inside and only certain amount of customers allowed in, which is great btw. Thank you to the whole team and especially for today to Michael and Miguel for great service!

Always rude. Took 2 months to get an appointment, when my bike was done they never told me. They made me wait in the long line outside even just to pick up my bike when it was done. Charged way more than the initially said it would be for a small tune up. Never answer the phone when I call. Not coming back. Today I was there for over 45 min just to pick up my bike. It seemed like they were ignorning me even though multiple people were working at that time.

Jordon at the Notting Hill branch was incredibly helpful and patient with a novice-returning-to-cycling-type-person. Some cycling shops are quite pretencious, I find, but not this one. Very honest and down to earth advice. Great service.

We visited the shops to get a new bike set up. It’s a brilliant shop with every thing you need. I’d like to mention Peter who helped us. He was absolutely fantastic and went we out of his way to help us and he was extremely knowledgeable. I’d recommend it to anyone and would highly advise anyone to ask for Peter’s help he goes above and beyond!

Never again - don't waste your time here. Visited last Friday afternoon and was told although they can't take care of it on the day, if I come during the week in the morning (15 minutes before opening to be safe!), they'll be able to address the issues with the chain. Today, after coming 15 minutes before opening, waiting for half an hour in the sun, I was told they can't take it - only punctures and adjustments to new bikes. What a total waste of time, after being told they will do it.

I purchased Mongoose Boundary 1 online on the 5th of June with a delivery date for November however, I received it much sooner. I received an email on 24th June that my bike had been delivered to Evans, Holland Park as requested and that they would be in touch as soon as it has been assembled. To my surprise it was ready for collection two days later. Taking a chance worked!! Due to this pandemic bikes are extremely difficult to purchase with a high demand especially here in London but taking the risk in the hope it would arrive much sooner actually worked in my favour. Eva was extremely helpful, professional and a real gem. Thank you

I was cycling to Paddington station to take a train to Wales to begin a 5 day cycling holiday. On my way there, my pannier rack decided to disassemble! The staff in Evans were so unbelievably helpful and efficient at helping me get back on the road so that I could make my train. I offered to pay for the labour but they wouldn’t have any of it. They understood my predicament and helped me because they are a fantastic company with brilliant values. The COVID lockdown period has been extremely busy for bicycle companies. I have been to other bicycle shops where I have been told there is a 2 month waiting period for a mechanic to even look at my bike. Shout out to Evans Westbourne Park!

BOYCOTT BUYING ONLINE. Probably not the Branches fault. I have now been trying to get in contact for a little over two weeks. After ordering my bike via website on the 26th May 2020 for click and collect (which says 3-7 days collection). Now given the uncertain times we as a country currently face I understand it could take slightly longer. It will be three weeks on the 16th and since buying the bike I have not been able to speak to a single person. I have sent emails, made calls and even attempted to contact via social media and their website chat. I would strongly advise you not to buy a bike via the website as I wouldn't want you to go through the same pain of calling daily with no response also they have £1500 worth of my money but shouldn't matter if I paid £300 - £8000 customer service should be the same for all. BOYCOTT BUYING ONLINE.

UPDATED: The staff is knowledgeable and the store is well stocked - more so with bikes than with equipment. As with most stores/cultures, it can be a little overwhelming if you do not know exactly what you're looking for but nevertheless, the store is a valuable resource for bike needs.

Love this bike shop. I'm now on my second 'Cycle to Work' scheme bike from these guys and they are always incredibly friendly and helpful. I've had to visit them half an hour before closing time to deal with a couple bike woes after work, and they are always amazingly upbeat and welcoming. I never have to wait to be seen either. Brilliant staff!
