Pets at home offers everything one could expect of a pet shop, this includes veterinary and grooming services for pets as well as the ability to buy smaller pets such as fish and rodents in store. Like any good pet shop they allow your dog to shop alongside you and are very used to the odd marking of territory to put it politely. The prices are as expected of a large chain retailer, that is to say reasonably good value for the most part and the staff are usually friendly. A star has been docked as we did face some issues with the collar engraving service but I would still recommend it for any pet related services. In regards to covid, a one way entry/exit system has been implemented and they ask that people shop alone, it is generally not incredibly busy but the area around the till can become congested.

Good covid safety in place and a wide selection of stock. The VIP club vouchers are barely worth having but that’s a national issue not down to Winnersh, I’ve never taken my dogs there so can’t review that. The fish didn’t look healthy and I always feel sorry for the poor mammals. The knowledge of staff varies greatly some are super when it comes to knowing the stock but others less so. I go if I need something quick since it’s so local but not my first choice

Absolutely faultless. They were able to see my dog within a hour of calling. I was extremely anxious when visiting, as was my dog, but was instantly put at ease by the lovely vet that examined her and took the time to explain how to care for my dog following her diagnosis. Would not go anywhere else now .

I must say that I have never been treated so good as I have today by a lovely woman assistant, who understood that because of the virus COV 19, I could not collect my cats much needed litter.
She very kindly delivered this to me and has restored my faith in believing
that there really are some people that care for another human being.
I greatly needed this as my husband is fighting for his life in the hospital
and I have to stay at home.
Thank you so much for being there and helping me and our cat out in a time of need.
If Pets at Home did not know what a great gift you are, I hope they get
to know very quickly and appreciate you as much as I do because a
caring heart in the workplace is a wonderful thing.
Sorry because of distancing, we could not meet properly, but we did
the right thing at this time we are all living through with COV 19 once more my many, many thanks for being there at a time of need.

Always like coming here, staff are always lovely especially if I have my dog Honey, always ask if I need any help with caring anything and if honey wants a treat for being so good. Always a wide variety of things and easy layout means I can go straight to we’re I need to. A few times I ah e gone in and the water bowl does not have any in but I have asked a staff member who kindly filled it up. The store is a little smaller than a few I have been into but still very spacious, the store very easy to find parking can be a little tricky sometimes with a building supplier store next door and a lot of vans in and out.

I'm going to focus on the vets because they're amazing. Such kind and caring staff. I've heard other people complaining about other vet places being dirty so I will say to them, try the vets here. They're always clean inside, and the staff have taken wonderful care of my dog. I can't recommend them highly enough.

We've just bought a puppy and visited Pets at Home to prepare for our new arrival. Thank you to the team and in particular Stewart who was incredibly helpful and spent time helping us pick our items even though he was busy with a queue of people to see after us. He was very knowledgeable on the products and knew so much about pups which gave us plenty of confidence we were speaking to the right person.
Thank you Stewart as you made this shopping experience straightforward, not stressful at all and we left learning so much more about how to care for our little pup.

Staff is always friendly and loves seeing Luna, on a lead of course. Things can be pricey but always a deal going on something tasty for the fur babies.

We took our cat to the vets, we were seen by Stephanie Keele. Our cat was really anxious and she was amazing, she was so gentle and caring with our cat. I really loved the experience and definitely recommend other people taking their pet to this vets. Great customer service, good timing for attendance and everything was well explained. Very good ????????????????

I used to like this place until my parents visited there recently, and tried to purchase a hamster - only to be told that they had to see the size of their cage to see if it was suitable. So my parents had to go all the way back home and back again with the cage, and were told it was too small! (Even though they were selling the exact same cage on the shelf at the time for the exact same breed of hamster which they wanted to purchase) lol ridiculous! So they ended up going to a different pets at home store and had absolutely no problems at all! They wern't asked a single question about the cage! Just avoid the pets at home in Winnersh!

Our Vets is based in pets at home so we are regular visitors. It's clean, it's tidy and the staff are always polite and helpful. Big shout out for Companion Care Vets within Winnersh pets at home great vets and I would never think of changing While Ben, Steph and Hannah and the rest of the gang are there.
