Called up hour in advance asking to make a base coat paint for me and the guy from the paint team said no problem. Couldn't make the paint as they needed to know if it was to be water or solvent base. Since then I was on hold for over 50 minutes. Arrived to the store one hour later to be told the paint production stopped one hour ago... Big waste of time coming to these guys so went to nearest paint shop "south London automotive paint" who made it no problem. This place ain't event worth 1 star.

Top lads, it does get busy so worth phoning ahead if you know what you want. It's not argos or halfords though and is trade oriented which seems to be what a lot of the moany reviews have misunderstood.

Very poor customer service. I called Stockwell Motors for a car part and was advised that they had it in stock. I asked them to put it under my car reg and i would be driving all the way from Purley to them. It took me just over an hour to get there. I was horrified to discover once i arrived that they had sold the part they had agreed to put aside for me considering they knew the distance i was driving from! Do not rely on this company as they are unreliable, do not stick to their word and i am now not able to fix my car as there are no other known car parts shops open on a Sunday! If i could give 0 stars i would.

Have used this place for years now but only when I'm desperate.
Staff aren't knowledgeable they only know what the book or computer tells them which isn't always correct.
Always check the brand of the part as they supply loads of Chinese made junk nowadays
.... it might be alright to get you out of trouble especially if it's an easily accessible part but its not worth the risk if it's an intriquet part which takes several hours of Labour to access which is the mistake I made.
There's often a queue in the shop and the parking across the road is often full.
If you have a car with a low front bumper the steepness of the car park entry will damage it so be warey of this.
They're alright on the phone if you have the cars registration at hand and know the exact name of part you need...anything beyond that then don't waste your time.
Quite a few tools stocked by themselves to get you out of trouble. Helicoil kits etc etc.

Would never go here again! Sold me the wrong item, not suitable for my vehicle. He then had the cheek to tell me I used it and that I was lying!! It was still in its sealed retail packaging which the rude obese sales person then opened, he did not ask if I wanted the right item for my vehicle just throwing accusations. Like "the package is dirty that provides you used it" Umm garages tend to have dirt and grease in things will get dirty
Try selling the right part and you won't have things returned, this is why I will always stick to big companies forget these rude independent shops!
