Appalling customer service.
Went for a retest having booked it via phone 5 days in advance.
Turned up to be told there’s no availability. Mind you I am pregnant (not that this should matter). Big Caucasian bloke made 1000 excuses, blamed me being 10 minutes late and then said to come back tomorrow. Then said come back this afternoon.
I’m not sure what his issue was but he eventually said leave it, I’ll sort it in half an hour. Didn’t offer me a seat to wait around in, I had to get on a bus to find somewhere to go. He didn’t take my contact details and then phoned my husband to tell him car was ready. No apology whatsoever.
I’ve been going to these guys for a while and I can safely say, it was my last trip here, poor attitude is not cool.

I had a puncture it was on the edge of where it could be repairable but no other tyre shop around even bothered they just said they couldn’t do it. However Universal Tyres Plaistow was more then happy to repair it. Goes to show they are willing to help you even if it’s just a £10 job. Tyre worked for many miles until I finally replaced it.

Dropped in yesterday when my engine management light suddenly came on while I was driving home. I'd never visited before and didn't have an appointment but the team were so accommodating and were able to support straight away. They were really efficient and I was on my way again 10 minutes later with everything resolved. Thank you!

I was actively looking for a garage nearby and was recommended this place.
The guys did an amazing job and were very honest. I called in the other day and wasn’t sure whether I needed a one coil spring or a pair. The guy provided me the pros and cons of just having one or having the pairs done.
This is the level of honesty and service I look for in a garage. Not only that, they did an amazing job and gave a very fair price which I thought was quite cheap.
From this point forward, Universal Tyres will be my new garage.

Univsersal Tyres Plaistow branch Cowboys BEWARE! Genuine Michelin Tyres has been replaced to unknown worn out tyre without owner's permission!
I had a puncture to repair at this garage in Oct 2019 . They charge £18 for repair just one puncture.
Job done, after few months, I suddenly noticed that the rear original Michelin tyres has been replaced to a pair of worn out tyre ! I have been driving for more than ten years, never ever had such things happen! This garage is the only garage I had ever been since the Michelin tyres fitted and because it was couple of months later I noticed that hence I couldn't come back to have a say as they can easily deny that!
Totally unacceptable! Outrageous ! I will file a formal complaint to Fair trading office London. I have attached a copy of the replaced Michelin tyre invoice and my bank statement transaction to prove that what I stated here is genuine!

So I wanna give more stars than 3 stars and, whoever the person was deserves 5 stars. My wife was leaving work and her engine light came on. So she made a few calls (to the same company) Plaistow charged around £50 just for a diagnostic check, however the same company charges £35 in Thurrock. Whoever helped my wife and didn't charge for a simple task, I appreciate. You should be running the shop. Extorting people just because you need to repay for a machine to make up the money, that's your choice! Buy it and own it, or don't waste your money. Don't charge your customers to make a profit on the machine you chose to purchase. FYI, Thurrock, same company charge a lot less.... But it's nice to know that there are people out there that look after us (the little people, the consumer). My wife told me what it was they did to test her engine, nowhere near should it cost £50. Its a f***ng joke! Just for a disaognistic!? However the gentlemen helped my wife for free and gave her advice. You're a legend. I use the Thurrock branch because they always are helpful and polite, as well as close by. But if they try this cr*p with me, I won't be using again. I've been using the Thurrock branch for a while, tyres usually and they're so helpful. They don't charge me to sort out the air in my tyres and give a good chat. It might be out of your way but the Thurrock branch is definitely better. 5* Thurrock branch! 3/2* stars for Plaistow... Sort it out. You know how the economy is right now and you're over pricing! Yes! You need to make money for your company but not at those rates, IF the same company does it cheaper a few miles away.

These guys are trustworthy and helpful. I was late for my appointment because of car trouble and they welcomed me in and sorted me out. Chris and the guys have always been great and they don't do anything that is unnecessary. They have passed MOT'S when other garages have claimed that lots of work was necessary. They are amazing. I've been here about four times over the past six years and I've always been very satisfied with their prompt and pleasant service.
I recently had a slow puncture which, as it turned out, had been caused by a very hard to spot miniscule tear.
After a thorough inspection of the tyre, the fault was spotted and the tyre replaced there and then.
I was in and out in just over half an hour, with no appointment.
Would gladly recommend.

Popped in on the off chance as my front right tyre was showing signs of a slow puncture. They sorted everything in no time and were very careful and courteous and charged me hardly anything to fix the tyre. Very impressed would go back again.

100% honest company, went with torn tyre and told them I wanted a new tyre, they told me it wasnt needed, pretty amazing because similar companies would have changed it, so £95 saved but they now have a loyal customer, I will use this company for everything.

Googled it and said they do bike tyres. Used my last bit off air in my tyre to get there and all I get is a no. Did not even try to help me. So Universal tyres will not see me again or my family and I will tell everybody about it.
