I attend a BBQ every year by a person, this year is BBQ was so poor, no one wanted his meat. Usually his Goat chops, Lamb Chops are spot on, having attended his events over 20 years, he and Gill are the best. This year we asked him why was the meat so poor, he said they had got it from Chesnut Meats from Tim and Marnie, and the poor bloke who does it for charity had to throw the meat away.
This was one of the worst BBQs he had. He told me how butcher had disclosed his name and information, and when he is championing British meat, and non Halal he was bullied by them disclosing his name. Really sad that he tries to support British butchers and then has issues with them. Even the Halal butcher who has np training and shipped here can manifest a better meat. Apparently Marine is his best butcher. Well to disclose personal information is unacceptable and then your meat was unacceptable. To think an animal gave his life up. The meat still had the skin on it! YUK!

Worst goat I have ever purchased. Owner and his so called best butcher, got very deffensive said he stood by his staff, Marnie. no issue of what my issue was, Who herslef acted very unprofessionally and got riled on the phone. This is the worst place ever. The meat was the worst butchered I had seen. IThey have 5 stars as they bully people who leave critical and honest reviews. My partner had to throw it into the bin. Seller got all sanctimonious, about how his lifestock went into the dustibin. Well it was so bad no one eat it. You kill animals for living and then you have the gaul like Kane and Abel.Took the money wasn't at all ready to resolve all he wanted was negative review removed to the point of disclosing personal informational and reported to Google. French trimmed, poorly trimmed, Do not buy from these charlatans. The meat even arrived barley cold.

Great cafe with high quality, good range of tea & coffee. the locally sourced on site butcher has really good meat from nice think cut bacon to chicken and Sunday joints. Great stop off in the day to have a break and spot of lunch / takeaway butty or something for tea later. will be visting again and again.
