I ordered some goat meat, some oxtail, some black pudding, some bacon and a beef rib.
i have eaten all except the rib and i have to say it was all absolutely fabulous, with the goat meat being the best that i have tasted.

Never been to the farm I’m a remote customer and have the meat sent to me. Usually very quick to process orders once the meat is on its way it comes very quickly although sometimes you only get a days notice of delivery. As it’s perishables we are on an early delivery so I know I can go into work later soon after delivery so I don’t need to take a day off! The meat is very tasty from here and definitely worth buying from.

I like goat meat and have struggled to find a good supplier. I stumbled on Chestnut Meats by accident and I am very happy that I did. The meat arrived promptly, was as described, packaged as described, and shipped as described. I have waited until after I had cooked a meal using the product before writing this review. I am very happy to report that the texture and flavour is exceptional. It cooked beautifully.

I have been buying goat meat from Chestnut meats for some years now, since meeting them at the food festival in Abergavenny.
Always happy with my order. Quality fresh meat. Ordered on Wednesday in the week and my order was with me by Friday of the same week. All packed in 1kg bags ready for the freezer. You can as much as little and you have the option to collect or have it deliver.

We had ordered quite a lot of kid meat from Chestnut Meats expecting a young goats meat but when we did cook it using a casserole recipe, we found the meat took a considerable time. The texture of the meat was tough.
Given this experience, I doubt if I would be ordering from them in the future.

The turkey crown supplied by yourselves for Christmas was excellent .I had a few queries before delivery which were dealt with efficiently and politly . So the level service and packaging were faultless. The flavour of the turkey was very succulent and superb . The sausage meat was a bit of a surprise as I obviously hadn`t read the description properly and wasn`t expecting cranberries in it .Everyone agreed that the sausage pies we made with it were the best ever so I am now sorry we didn`t order more.
