Had to get a sports tyre fitted to my civic type R. Turned up without a booking as other shops had been unable to fit it. Despite being fairly busy, Defoe's did it within an hour. Very knowledgeable staff gave good advice.

Unfortunately I failed to notice that my MOT was due in a week but Defoe Tyres managed to fit me in and do a fantastic job. I was told what needed to be done and given options on parts needed and my car was ready when they said it would be and it didn't cost the earth. Very happy with Errol's service. It might seem like a small under-equipped shed, but they know what they're doing and are decent people (unlike some giants of the tyre industry). I had a slow puncture and he repaired it efficiently (even though it had that stupid foam lining!). A (future) fellow Tesla owner as well!

A great little place with plenty of knowledge of mechanics and how it should be done. They look after your interests and their honesty gives them integrity and encourages repeat business. Recommend to give them a call to book in advance. They even dropped my car back to a nearby flat free of charge! Highly recommended!

Defoe Tyres is the most honest, reasonably priced and swift garage I've ever used. Erol and his crew are by far the best mechanics I've ever had look after my cars. Whether I've needed a simple service, a serious repair or just some advice, they've never let me down. They always offer options for new parts at different price points, so you can make the decision about what you spend. If you need them to, they will also prioritise things that need fixing if you can't quite afford to fix more than one thing if it's needed.
Defoe Tyres is a true, well established and family run, old school garage, and I'll never go anywhere else if I can help it. I would strongly advise anybody to at least give them a call if you need an MOT or service. You won't be disappointed.

I've used Defoe Tyres occasionally for the last few years - mostly for tyre replacement, wheel balancing, etc. I've always found them to be a helpful, skilled, fast and reasonably priced local garage.
Today, though (2 days before Xmas), I was absolutely amazed at the level of service that Erol and his crew provided.
In Devon a couple of days before, in the dark with heavy rain, I was caught out by what I thought was a normal slip road off the A30 dual carriageway on Dartmoor - that turned out to be a sudden tight right angle bend with no warning. I hit a kerb denting and splitting a front alloy wheel. Next day - with no proper spare and various Xmas/NY trips planned I phoned Defoe on the off chance they could help. My car is an elderly (but reliable) V reg V70 Volvo so the chances of getting a 2nd hand wheel at short notice over Xmas are pretty slim.
Erol said they'd be closed for Xmas/NY - but send a photo of the wheel and leave it with him - and if I got back to London ok to call in next morning as they'd be at the garage doing a bit of repainting.
The skinny 'emergency' spare wheel amazingly lasted 200 miles back from Devon and I called in this morning. Not only had Erol contacted his wheel supplier but he had found a correct and matching 2nd hand wheel, collected it and had it there waiting. 30 minutes later a new tyre fitted, balanced - and the wheel bolted on the car and the whole problem solved - for an affordable amount.
So - THANK YOU Erol and Defoe Tyres. You said I was "lucky" but it was fantastic and thoughtful service and went way beyond what I expected. Exceptional!
Happy Christmas - and good business in 2019. You deserve it!
