Since I've reopened after 4 months of lockdown, this service seems to have crumbled. The handset takes forever to link with the app, I'm getting countless "technical errors". The nature of card payments means people tap and then walk away, so having a cancelled payment 30 seconds after the payment is made basically makes it unusable as payment solution. Stuck with you for 6 years, but it's time to look for something better.

Rubbish company .do not go for it. Stopped my card reader without any notice ,message ,phone call or email. Can't take payment and loosing customers. Happened to me twice without any reason. When I contacted them they said registration team will cotact you in 48 hours but they didn't update me before stopping my card reader. And on top of that they do not have any customer service number. Is this a joke?

Absolutely a terrible company the left-hand and right-hand don’t know what they doing. I called customer service they where very helpful to start with asked me to give them a serial number for a replacement for another one to be sent out, now I’ve been told to find Error code.I had a card shipped to my home address due to Covid and they can only pick up at address which it was sent to,now have to take the card reader back to the shop plug it in and charge to get error code these people are beyond a joke I would not recommend them go to another company I’ve just ordered Sum up I have have other friends who run companies have had constant problems with Sum up,another lost customer.

Tried to join them. I by mistake entered the wrong email address during application stage. So tried to set up again with correct email address. Now it tells me company is already registered. So realising my mistake, tried to email them, phone them but nothing. Phone number says not connected, even though it is the one on their website. And a week on, no response to my email. Avoid at all cost. They are borderline running a scam. Not what you want to run your business from

Bye bye IZettle ???? 2nd card reader broken today thats x2 in two years...oh its just out of warranty....i put loads through on card and they earn a good dollar off me...even though you can go online and buy a new reader for £19...these jokers wanted £59 off me an existing customer when I feel they should replace the reader as its no fault of mine...Well no more I'm off to Sumup ordered new card reader from them...better rate of 1.69% from Sumup too.

They say the money will be in your account next day. It sometime takes them 3 days to even send the email to me saying its in my account,.Then takes another 3 days. Gone. Update........i have taken payments on a Monday....nothing to do with the weekend. Also why say "in your account next day" when its really up to 3-6 days .

As a motor trader you would expect them to understand that the limit of £5000 must be increased. After providing them with all of the necessary information to prove that I am a motor trader they have declined to increase it stating I dont have frequent transaction!!! Well it isn’t exactly common to sell 100 cars a day, they’re cars not burgers! These People are clueless In addition to this, this process took over 1 month because they forgot about my request

I got an iZettle reader to do a one off transaction recently, transaction was fine. I also run a cafe and contacted iZettle to get pricing for using the reader everyday in the cafe. I contacted through the form on the website and have yet to be contacted (over 1 week has passed). Since then I contacted them directly and eventually was told somebody would be in touch re. pricing. I got a call last week from somebody at iZettle, they didn't leave a number to contact them and I was told in the voicemail I would get an email. I did not get an email but called them again today to try and get hold of this person - was told nobody by that name worked for the company. Little shocked it's so difficult to get a call back or just get pricing to move to them. Bit disappointing

Was a happy customer for 1 year and 4 months until my card reader malfunctioned. Poor iZettle customer service offered me a replacement one for £29+Vat and would not even match their promo of £19+Vat they are giving to new customers. Did not even try to fight to keep my business, so I might as well go to Sum Up - Card Reader, you guessed it, £19+Vat! An added bonus, the transaction charge is lower!

iZettle customer service does not exist! Wanted to purchase promo card reader, iZettle confirmed they would send in post along with point of sale pod stand ... You guessed it , no reader, no stand, despite emails from 'customer service' and a complaint forwarded, along with no phone connection to talk to a human, my advise don't even bother. I had high hopes in iZettle but if this is how the relationship starts, then goodness knows how I'll be treated along the line. Take my business else where , thank you

Worthless. Bought an izettle 2 years ago for a festival that was eventually rained off. The izettle has sat unopened, unused until today when I tried to set up working from home and received a "system tampered" error message. izettle's response was very unhelpful, and if they think it will force people to buy their latest reader, they've got another thing coming...

The iZettle Reader 2 works very well, so far. However, a company that deals with payment systems should provide a proper VAT invoice for their products without being asked. All I received from them was an order confirmation with the VAT amount, what they should provide is an invoice showing both their trading address and their UK VAT number.

I have been using iZettle for a number of years. It used to be great !! Now the customer service is appalling and the new updated card reader works more slowly than the previous one. If you want a smooth experience think twice about iZettle until things get better.

Customer service does not exist for this company. Happy to take your money but hopeless with supporting you whenever there's a problem. In addition to that I was forced to buy a new card machine because the original ones were discontinued even though I only had it for 6 month! Avoid at all costs it will save your business money and headache!

I ordered a card machine from Izettle with hope that they would deliver it soon, but turn out not what I expected. I am at my shop waiting and it arrived at my home instead. I don't know who received it at my home or nobody or someone else not meant to get it, I am so disapointed.

Have been using iZettle for approx 7 years. Fantastic app/reader which works fine 95% of the time with just the occasional blip. The customers loved it.....unfortunately they no longer store email addresses due to GDPR and have to input every time for sending receipts which is a real inconvenience for both the customers and me slowing down transactions. If only on completion of the transaction it got the customer to input their address and consent to email being stored to satisfy GDPR! The email receipt could then say something like 'You have consented to us storing your email address for the purpose of sending you your receipts, if you change your mind, click here to withdraw your consent'. Either that or set up iZettle and 'Contacts' sharing and have a button where we can browse our contacts and select them (so we have to store the details and worry about GDPR). Other than that.....is excellent.

This app is a joke! When I pay a monthly fee for an app I expect it to work properly. I have had endless problems and it seems like the company couldn’t care less. I definitely do not recommend them.

Software will suddenly need updating when taking payments, a disaster when using for mobile payments in low signal areas, payment links randomly fail, cannot be trusted to work effectively on the move !

I have been using iZettle for the past 2 years now and like some reviews the system has gone for bad to worse! App doesn't work, they update Apps that breaks the whole system and then you cannot take payments. I will now move away from iZettle and would advise some of my colleagues to do so! Very Poor. Ridiculous!!

I am customer 3.5 years and i am giving 2 stars because as company are not bad,but the card readers are very bad.I bought base and card reader before 15 months and everything is near dead(base is not working,battery last 15 minutes,and problematic connection with card reader.)I called customer service and they told me that i have to change all and they will give me 50% off,(they doing this price in any new customer anyway)

I am using iZetlle few years. It works well. Really well :)) Sometimes customers cannot pay smoothly but it’s not bad. Try one or twice then it’s Okay normally. I was surprised Google iZettle review was very bad. Any card company is not perfect, is it? It might be because of iZettle, mobile or network...even customer made a mistake like using wrong card. I highly recommend iZettle and all my friends who use it, are happy too.

So far so bad! Still reeling from the worst customer service experience I've had for a long time. Called them as I needed help setting up a work account. Waited 7 minutes for someone to answer with "Hello" to which I responded "I've been waiting over 7 minutes for someone to pick up"... silence from iZettle then "what can I help you with". I said "is that it, no apology?" to which iZettle responded with "well I don't think 7 minutes in a long time to wait" WOW!. The person has just emailed me and they are the new business manager!! Good luck with that. Unfortunately, I need to finish this registration with you for the company I work for but partner was going to use them for their business so I'll tell them not to bother. Unbelievable!!!

Took money from my CC on 14 May 18- couldn't find the transaction and didn't know what is was for - then you said it was refunded - then you said there was a technical error and was not refunded, two weeks later and not heard anything else and still waiting. I have tried to be polite - I have called, emailed numerous times, sent statements twice and still no refund - you took my money for NOTHING! - FURIOUS -

I was using iZettle successfully for 6 months and it was working well. I am not a market trader, and I was not using this for small transactions however everything was working smoothly....until! I received an email which told me that my services we're being stopped and I would be unable to continue using their services. I begged for an explanation as I considered myself to be a reasonbly good customer of iZettle. I did not, and have still not received on. I was told to read clause 25 of the T&C's which provided no explanation, only more unanswered questions. Disgrace.

I'm a small used car dealer. Asked directly via email if they accepted business like me. Yes came the reply ...but with conditions...no more than £5000 in any one day etc. Not a problem. Signed up...did my first transaction...account stopped for 'Security'....what business type are you?...copy invoices etc etc...all this was done in advance...now they have told me I might have to wait 72 hours or longer....I can't run a business like this...and your 'Customer Service dept' are just truly shocking...AVOID at all cost people

I run a small business and in just a few days i was able to receive payments from customers straight away instead of waiting a week later for them to bring cash. My customers were also pleased that they could pay fees for courses, equipment etc using their bank card as they often tell me they quite often forget to bring cash. The customer service i received was excellent so far. The money was in account within 3 days. I highly recommend using their service. I only paid £19 for the card reader, there is no monthly bills, and a competitive fee for card transactions.

Absolutely useless. I phoned when I couldnt connect the Izettle2 to my tablet to be told to was incompatible. On clarifying what was needed this was ordered and when I attempted to set it up I was told this new tablet was also incompatible as was my phone therefore incorrect advice was given. I then asked about returning the izettle to be told I could download the form and get a full refund before asking for that to be confirmed in a recorded call and the call taker then backtracked and this could not be confirmed. I then asked to speak to a manager to be told this was not possible as complaints are only in writing. So bad advice given, not able to complain effectively and no actual help offered. A pretty poor show really

I have now had 2 iZettle machines which after charging give the message ‘system tampered’ and cant be used again. Customer service told me as the machine was a year old and out of warranty I would have to buy another. So much for customer satisfaction

My first card reader was faulty on arrival. The second one has failed after six transactions. The company replaced the first reader quickly, but now I need a refund I have to pay postage. This is an awful piece of equipment. Please don't consider this product.

I ordered by iZettle weeks ago and it still hasn't arrived. Customer services do not reply to emails. Very annoyed with the terrible service. I have completed numerous feedback forms for them. I have repeatedly asked for my payment to be returned but I simple get sent another feedback form to complete. DO NOT BUY iZETTLE. I have bought a Square and so far, excellent!

Personally I've had a great experience with them, I put through about £10,000 per month and have a designated contact who replies to me immediately with anything I need. I love that they don't charge more for Amex. I took out an izettle advance and they were fantastic, really recommend. Don't know how everyone else has commented so negatively

Ive been using this service now for 18 months. I'm a small seasonal business, having moved from the traditional card machines with contracts. This was the best move ever for me, no hassle and money in the bank within 2 to 3 days. Can I also say their Customer Support is great, now that you can ring them for help in the UK.

Worst customer service I have ever encountered. Subscribed to the Pro account paying £84 per month on a rolling 30 day contract. Requested termination verbally and in writing but they did not action and continued to take money illegally from my account and are now refusing to refund it! Take heed from all of these terrible reviews and avoid, avoid, avoid!

I've not had a problem - stuck with the basic chip and pin machine. Put through a fair sum every month so when the first machine died they sent me another one the next day FOC. No questions. Good reports to download. Fast payments. No up front costs. The customer service line is in mainland Europe. The language barrier may be mistaken for agents being a little bit offish?

This is not a well run business and I would stay away. I ordered a card reader for an exhibition, first time we took this business out on the road...The company delivered the device to the wrong address. The emails from izettle confirming the device delivery did not arrive, were it not for the delivery company dpd I would not have known that it was sent to our registered office address rather than the trading address specified at the time of order. It was their mistake but I still had to pay to have the machine re-routed to me but we were not able to have it delivered in time so I had to find an alternative. I then had to pay to return it - overnight signed for delivery because I needed tracking according to izettle. When I complained - the agent who dealt with the issues just did not reply (probably too embarassed) - then I got an email about 14 days after returning it that it would 30 days for a refund! Quite disgusted! Glad I chose a Sumup Card Reader for my other business which I found I could use for the exhibition - what a lifesaver.

Card reder doesnt always connect for some reason , its a nightmare to contact anyone at customer support... waited over 30 minutes on the phone , still no one answered ... Its a joke ! Returned card reader , and its been 5-6 weeks now , still no refund has been made ... Avoid !
