We bought a rather tired and unloved flat in a mansion block. A friend recommended PLP to do the conversion. After looking at the company's work on that flat, we commissioned PLP. The finished work was as good as the example we had viewed, but what marked out this company as exceptional was the project management. After defining the spec, we were given a start date and and end date and also a detailed breakdown of the costs. At the end of each week, we were given a progress report and a detailed cost account. It was on budget and on time. However, part way through the project, we had to change the specification. PLP immediately gave us a revised quote and schedule. And although we had to have a break in the works, the company restarted on the agreed date and finished the work on the revised date and on budget. What marks out the company for us is the quality of the work, the detailed planning, the soundness of the advice, the accuracy of the costing, the regular reporting and the unfussy way in which they handle unforeseen problems. Outstanding!
