We were really looking forward to renting with an agency for a change, especially one as highly regarded as Paramount. However, since move-in last month, any issues seem to be dealt with at a snails pace. We were told the blinds were broken in the master bedroom before moving in, a month and a half later they’re still broken and our follow-up emails are going unanswered. They’re twisted, snapped and unusable. We have a hob failing to work, bathroom wall lights not turning on, peeling lining paper, (we thought they’d be mentioned in the inventory report but they weren’t and we received the report a month after move-in). We’re worried that raising these concerns will either go unanswered or take until next year to resolve. We had a property inspection that we waited in for this morning so we could raise the issues in person but nobody even showed up to that. No cancellation or apology. They’re nice people and I’m sure they mean well, we’re just really disappointed. This is all pretty basic stuff so we don’t have much faith for the next couple years in the property.

We really liked the service we experienced with Paramount Properties and would definitely use them again. We just bought a house through them, and as buyers the process can be really stressful. I have been trying for over a week to book a viewing. Always goes to the admin team, no one is available! The agent, name Dexter, respond to my email and called me and asked me loads of loads of questions, at the end he missed understand and mixed some questions and simply said 'the landlord is looking for a couple, I said, yes we are a couple! and he said , you know what! there is an offer on the property and I will contact you if that didn't proceed. I am 100% sure that the flat is available! he took it personally and decided to not to give me the viewing just because he didn't liked me! terrible service. LANDLORDS PLEASE AVOID !!!!

I'm looking to rent and really liked the look of a flat listed with this agency. Tried to get in touch to arrange a viewing but the experience has been nothing short of, for the lack of a better word, odd. I was told to wait for 24 hours (that window isn't small) until an agent got back to me. I had a whole afternoon available so tried again to be told about the same time frame. I had to see if I could manage my schedule and arrange a time to view the flat today so bit the bullet and called the office and again the non-agent personnel started parroting the same stuff about waiting 24 hrs... What?! Sure, you get the message that these people have their priorities somewhere else but to not call a potential client in two days? Common courtesy is one of the things NOT paramount to this business.

In short, Paramount Properties is nothing but Fantastic. I can assure both a seller and a buyer that I have had nothing but high satisfaction from Paramount Properties. I am a student who was looking to rent a property with my friend for the upcoming new term to begin in September. Unfortunately due to COVID-19, I decided to leave the UK and return to my own country which made house hunting all the more difficult. Throughout my 2-3 months looking for a place to stay I have been met with lesser than helpful agents from companies I thought would be good based on their name and high customer count. However, not being in the country and only being able to be contacted via email made things very clear to me on how certain agencies were less than useful and were not prepared to sell houses thru the pandemic. 1)I first faced issues such as poor communication, not being able to speak to someone directly sure was frustrating especially when they don’t respond to your emails. 2)Even if I weren’t overseas, I would still not want to leave my house during this difficult time and would love it if they had provided a virtual option for those who wanted to view it online. 3)With such a difficult time upon us, money is definitely a sensitive topic but no one wants to be scammed With all these being said, I never expected to have the amazing service that I received from my agent Oliver. First and formost, I would like to commend paramount for having by far the most impressive viewing page of any house i have ever seen. From all the pictures they provided(which includes the floor plan) to the video tour showing you exactly what the house is like was just great for someone wanting to know everything about thw house without being able to view it in person. {NOTE: Maybe you guys can work on your description as it was decent but nothing great} In addition to their amazing website, Oliver was just a great guy and an amazing agent. I have counted and have had a total of 70 emails with him, and I have to commend him for replying to each and every single one of them super promptly. (No body likes waiting, especially something like this where you are in a way paid for your excellent survice) Oliver was always super professional, answered all my questions with great detail and the best part replied me either immediately or so fast that I was never waiting for a response. Oliver and his colleagues such as Andrew and Madlen also provided me with excellent support throughout this process. Even though, after I signed my contract I would a similar property to mine in the same building and floor for a cheaper price, I never once felt like I was scammed as by just looking at the huge difference in marketing, you wouldn’t even know it was the same property. All in all, to both landlords and tenants, Paramount Properties is one of the best agencies I have ever dealt with and by a huge margin mind you. I cannot speak for how my tenancy will be during my 2 year stay with them but I guess youll hear about it in my next review.

Having rented with Paramount twice and also having a friend who's used Paramount with similarly frustrating experiences, I genuinely cannot fathom why the ratings here are so high. Essentially, anywhere they can find something which they can add a small but not insignificant fee of £25 to £40, they absolutely will. At the point of moving out, they feel far more like an extortion service than a letting agent, charging well over double the market rate for services. £25 for a tiny blue mark which requires one lick of paint on a banister (pictured) and £6 each for 5 light bulbs (especially given that half the bulbs in the house died within two weeks of us moving in, as highlighted to Paramount). This was in a 3rd/4th floor duplex, where some moving marks are unavoidable, even though we used professional movers. Also see pictured "yellow stains to table" which are supposedly shown in the picture. That'll be another £20. The Paramount defence will be that they work with a third party for these check outs, which obviously doesn't mean much as it's pretty clearly in their interest to find miniscule defects they can charge £25+ for. Sadly, at the point of asking for what's left of your deposit back, there is very little you can do but accept these charges, PLUS their double market rate cleaning charges (which they then add VAT to). As a final note, Paramount initially described the kitchen of our new flat as "modern", before insisting that we paid for a dishwasher to be purchased and installed ourselves if we wanted one. Upon leaving six months later, the landlord so generously offered to pay back 75% of the dishwasher price (but none of the installation fees). Two weeks later, the 75% payment still hasn't been received. Odd when Paramount are usually so enthusiastic to insist on payments being made, it doesn't seem to bother them as much when it's an outgoing from their client.

He was really patient and honest when dealing with us and he really listened to what we were looking for which is why he found us the most perfect rental home. I have recently rented a property with Paramount properties who have supported a refurb, sourced tenants and are now managing the property on my behalf. The support I have been given, the speed in which items are addressed and the efficiency with which everything has been done, has been excellent. Spencer has facilitated electricians, painters and handymen with speed and efficiency - all of whom have done a quality job. The attention to detail to ensure the property looked great for marketing and was spotless for the tenants was much appreciated. Tenants were found promptly. I've had good contact with the property manager, Tash, and so far I've heard nothing from the tenants which is a good sign. I would recommend paramount on the basis of the service I've received.
