My son had an electronic fault causing no ignition or indicators etc.. Called in with no appointment. Really helpful and friendly. Car sorted with no fuss and in super quick time. Also passed on advice on how to cope with it should similar occour again. I am not local to Loughborough but if I was this is were I would take my car when in need of a garage. Also sells recon petrol lawnmowers

Such a shame im having to write this review as the mechanics here are great In there field and very knowledgeable Steve has done a cracking job on my vans however Gemma is useless. Was recommended to this garage by two family members over a year ago sadly couldn’t get my van in for a clutch last year as they was too busy and I needed it back ASAP for work, so first used these around 6 weeks ago to replace a van turbo and all related damage cause by the turbo failure I did ask them at the time if they could check everything over on the van at the same time as I had recently bought it and been ripped off with the van, so I got my van back in a matter of days and they sorted the turbo out and for a very competitive price of around £750 was very chuffed with the service I received at the time however my family member now owns the van and it’s had to go back because the fuel rail was leaking and this wasn’t picked up during the visit not to bothered about that as they fixed the van for a good price in a reasonable time scale but it’s shame it wasn’t picked up as I would of replaced the rail there and then, two weeks later I send two more of my vans in for diagnostics and an mot, first van I was told does have egr fault but other then that has engine wear normal for it’s mileage so I paid £30 for a diagnostic on that but never received any information other then an invoice with no breakdown or fault codes attached again this didn’t bother me too much as I was selling the van anyway and as I got the all clear why worry sold the van to a chap who broke down 60 miles away which caused me nothing but grief. Second van had a new egr valve but failed mot was notified to go down and have a chat about it went down to be told it failed and that rough idle was still present after a new egr valve told it will need a scv and they would call me in the morning with a price for the scv, two days goes by heard nothing rang them 8am was told Gemma would call me back to explain the process heard nothing rang back that afternoon that day to be told she would call me back to explain the process took me a third time calling to get the answers I wanted then I was told they’re struggling to get an injector for the van WAIT a minute? I’m waiting on a price for a scv for two days to chase you three times to be told you’re changing an injector without notifying myself of costs or problem. Anyway after that I purchased an injector and gave them the injector next day I had the call my vans passed mot and running sweet as a nut over the moon so costs £505 for mot and repairs £30 for diagnostic on the other van, I supplied the injector at £160. Despite abit of chasing again I left happy enough. So last week I ring up for a price on a clutch plate on a Ford Focus Tdci 5 speed box (light work, could drop the box in less then an hour) I was told that I’m looking at £570 for a clutch plate or £940 if I want the flywheel done at the same time so I booked it in put the phone down and literally could not believe what I was just told they really tried to rip me off to that extent, so I took it to my second favourite garage in the area who charge more on labour then this garage do, and they had the car 23 hours I got it back new clutch new flywheel and new o seals £600 inc vat, wheel and Mitchell tried to charge me that for a £90 luk plate and fitting. The other garage also sent me a video of the flywheel on the car so I could see the extent of flywheel damage which I decided to have done. Because of this that other garage now has another van of mine which is having gearbox work and clutch this work you could of had also but lost for trying to rip me off plus any other work over the next few months/years I’ve now notified my two family members that recommended me and sadly they won’t be back and neither will I.

I am very particular with who works on my cars, I was recommended this team when I needed a quality service of my cam chain tensioner, I checked up regularly on the craftsmanship over the days it took (which I had a car to borrow from them in the mean time) and it was all top notch, very friendly easy going confident team from phone to mechanic, approachable, patient with customers, thorough, take pride in their work, clean and tidy workshop. So good to find a trusty shop to tackle big and small jobs done right first time. Thanks guys!

I live in coalville and travel to this garage every time for work needed. I've used a few garages before and Wheeldon & Mitchell are the only garage i trust. Recommended through some friends who know them and not disappointed. All work done to a high standard and costs are reasonable.
