Fantastic school with a kind and caring ethos, set in a rural location, with its own woodland.
Inspires the children to be the best they can be, by whilst providing a super Education, great Sport, and drama, and plenty of other opportunities.
Great Walstead have also handled the online learning brilliantly.

Well done Walstead on a great handling of the lockdown period and getting all our children back to school for the last few weeks. The kids are so lucky to have the woods, the fields, the farm but this has really shown the school at its best. The teaching staff, the remote music lessons have all been fantastic. Highly recommend this very warm and nurturing school.

There is a very kind and nurturing feel to Great Walstead School. The open plan campus is fantastic, with acres of woods, a farm and fantastic sporting facilities. Our children are encouraged to be independent and resilient, and they are happy to try new things. They love school!

My daughter is currently at the school and I can't praise it enough. Great academic teaching, lots of opportunities for music, art and drama, lots of sport and outdoor activities in the woods and on the school farm, very warm and nurturing atmosphere. Best of all, my daughter is really happy here and has made some lovely friends. The school community is inclusive, non-cliquey and supportive and I've found the other parents to be really nice and down-to-earth.

Great Walstead school has fantastic facilities including woods, a farm and a swimming pool alongside the sports hall and performing arts centre. The staff are excellent with the pupils, the lessons are learning adventures where the children are encouraged to be curious and creative. Overall Great Walstead is an amazing school
