The school is located in a beautiful old building and is surrounded by generous playing fields. The current headmaster, Mr Taylor-West and his team in my experience deliver a fantastic standard of education to the children. The class sizes are relatively small and as a result a high level of personal care is delivered. The teachers and assistants at all levels do seem to care about the individual pupils and both of my children are very happy here. The fee structure offers good value for money and the results are head and shoulders above local state schools.

My son started a yr ago at the School and all I can say is I am delighted we moved him from his previous school. He loves it at Shoreham College. There is loads of sport which he loves and academically he is doing brilliantly. When he started he was a very shy little boy but a yr on and he has blossomed. The staff are incredibly welcoming and ready to help with any problem that you may have. They have a Forest School as well as fantastic facilities. What has also been amazing is how my son has started eating and trying loads of different foods and this is due to the delicious home cooked foods they offer every day. To top it all off (As another review says) all their after school clubs are free which is a God send. I would highly recommend this school to anyone. Totally delighted!

I attended Shoreham College many years ago and when the time came to pick a school for our son we attended a show around and I was instantly reminded of some of the best years of my life. Two of my three children now attend the College and they are thriving, the third will join them in a few years. The teachers friendly and enthusiastic approach to education has inspired my children to want to learn and they look forward to school every day.

I was at this school over 50 years ago when it was a place of horrors. It has got to be better than that by now. When I went it was called caus pronounced Keys.then it changed its name to Shoreham Grammar now College . Hoped you like the history of the place!

Started well in early years and downhill rapidly after Mr Stearns left. No admissions policy. Bullying rife, with no action taken. The school has more interest in fees than pupil wellbeing. Nothing we said to school was taken on board and the majority of parents in our year had cause to talk to school on more than one occasion. My child now enjoying a better quality of education at a state school. Without the disturbances that were never dealt with here. Please don't waste your money here.

Our son has been at Shoreham College for over 6 years and I don't recognise the long negative review posted on here last week. We have found the school to be a safe, and nurturing environment. Any issues quickly actioned and resolved. We've not experienced any problems with bullying. Also, is a story about the school dating back half a century, though interesting, helpful to a parent trying to find the right school for their child? Every child is unique, and different styles of school suit different children. My advice would be go to the school, talk to the teachers, talk to the pupils, and talk to other parents, and you will get a feel of whether this is the right school for your child.

Google Review: My wife and I, parents to three girls and three boys, and have had several children at this college from age three to eleven over many years and can confirm the management has no grip on BULLYING whatsoever. We have first-hand knowledge and maintain contemporaneous records of school children being abused by alpha males who comprehensively avoid detection at Shoreham College - thus the exodus of withdrawals in recent years. Another child with his own set of challenges is now leaving due to the bullied child or his parents not at all listened to or taken seriously due to the lack of an effective anti-bullying policy. When a child reports being bullied they are questioned like suspects in a police station and their concerns rejected if there are no "witnesses" to the incident. "We need evidence" is often the response to a parent of an upset child. Even the child of a headmaster, no less, at an academy state school had his child seriously bullied to the point of withdrawal - yet still they STILL ignored that headmaster's reports and looked down their noses at him. Our own mild-mannered son was bullied by two problem children and when we asked specifically to have our child placed in the opposite class the following school year. Yet our email to the head of the Junior School was completely ignored (no response) and on the first day of school our child was directed to sit right next to the bully in the same class(!)...as if on purpose. To be frank, Shoreham College is a flint fascade, first rung private school that has far less stringent admissions scrutiny than many good state schools. I do not recall, nor have heard of any, jurisprudence in relation to aptitude tests being conducted to ascertain an applicant's mental acuity or ability to control interpersonal apathy - and certainly no due diligence conducted on the parents, many of whom are very common and/or have socially abrasive demeanours, claiming some form of social circle 'status' from their expenditures. Thankfully we have moved our children to exemplary state schools and review of their scholastic progress revealed they were far behind key stages in fundamental subjects. We feel our children are now receiving far better educations and they certainly feel much safer. They now look forward to going to school and come home happy. At minimum, a.change in management of the year 1-6 team is needed, post haste, and an entire overhaul of their policies needs to take place with consultations from OUTSIDE advisors before the junior school at Shoreham College can be considered by anyone seriously thinking about the precarious proposition of placing their child in their questionable care.

My son is in his sixth year at Shoreham College and my daughter was there for three. They have both flourished in this exceptional school and made to feel comfortable, confident and happy. In our experience bullying is simply not accepted. There is an anti-bullying council for pupils (and staff) and the children really look after each other. Parents are genuine friends and the Mums in my son's year have a What's App group of 35 mothers. Nothing gets past them, least of all bullying. Mr Taylor-West has vastly improved the school's academic, music and sport results (as you may know). But none of this would have been possible without the incredible pastoral care that he has put in place.
