Today I went to the John Lewis shoe department at Westfield in search of a particular pair of shoes. I had been told at another John Lewis store to keep waiting for the shoes to come into the store if I wanted to try them on pre-purchase as they were likely to come in within a week or two (that time has now passed and I went back to that store with no luck before trying Westfield).
Pearl and Karim were so lovely and went the extra mile, making the effort to look up the style and subsequently advising me to just order the shoes online as they were unlikely to appear on the shop floor any time soon. I know it's just a pair of shoes, but their helpfulness made my day better. Thank you :)

Staff brilliant as ever and helped me find what I needed quickly. However, the parking is a nightmare and queues out are horrible, plus entry camera didn’t pick up my licence plate, so after trying the machines. I had to go down to bottom of parking to resolve. Took me an hour to get out of car park, never again hence 3 stars. 5 stars for staff, 1 star for parking

I went first day out of 3rd or 4th lockdown to pickup an ipad for my mother, was out of stock in the colour I wanted however the girl in the apple department I believe her name was Oli was fantastic, she was spot on with her customer service and I really enjoyed talking to her. The positivity and energy she works with is phenominol (wish I had that much level of enthusiasm in my job) lol

Disgusting Service
Ordered a Tom Dixon floor light. Received it without the shade. One month later and numerous emails and still no answers from JLP White City.
Have had to go to Head Office to attempt to sort this out.

Customer service staff less than helpful. Different staff gave different advice/instructions. They expect customers to know technical terms when speaking to manufacturers to request 'reference' numbers for refunds despite them not actually stating what type of reference I should be asking for in order to exchange/refund a faulty fitbit within the warranty period. A simple task resulting in 3 visits thus far to still not be resolved. 4th time lucky?

I am currently working from home and dependant on my Microsoft Surface Pro. Unfortunately, the power supply stopped working and I contacted John Lewis support. You do not have the opportunity to actually speak to someone in tech support as it reverts to messaging via Whats App. I was advised to purchase a replacement power supply from the online store and then claim a refund. However, the power supply is out of stock and the support case has been closed.
This is not acceptable and I will now have to order a power supply from Microsoft at an inflated price.
This is not the first time I have had issues with purchases from John Lewis (washing machine, dishwasher and micro wave) have been below par. The level of customer service over the years has completely evaporated. I even stopped shopping at Waitrose because of poor management service (Westfield W12) and will now avoid John Lewis.

Wow! What a brilliant store! I love John Lewis and this is a wonderful branch. It's new and fabulous. Brilliant clothes and linens and gadgets, I love it. They have a nice cafe with huge scones and good cake. Loos everywhere. A fantastic perfume and cosmetics hall. This is an amazing addition to an already super mall.

... not crowded on this visit, nicely laid out items for easy browsing. nice place to have a little peace and quiet is at the cafe by benugo. nice coffee, reasonably priced. pecan pie is worth a try.

Most of the staff I came across either didn't wear face masks, or didn't wear them correctly, they didn't care much for attempting social distancing either.
Won't be coming back until better measures are in place and being followed.

A new spacious and modern cafe/restaurant in John Lewis with great views and outdoor seating. There is some construction next door, so may be the outdoor option is not the best at the moment.
Coffee is not bad (no flat white!). The readings are comfortable and the design is minimal and elegant. Ideal for families and groups.

my friend was looking at hoovers - the assistant was very friendly and helpful - he spent time showing her the different machines - and she bought one ! result ! and then I asked him about the view from the window - he explained where we were - which end of Westfield - very helpful : then we had a quick look at the ovens and at Christmas section - a bit early for me : a good visit - will be back - but sadly won't be able to go back to JL Birmingham - don't understand why that (new) JL had to close / Anne

Should of closed this store. Tech department is joke. So many customers ignored and not tended to. Staff are the definition of lazy, looks to be lack of management. Prices missing on so many products and telling me to check the website. Not why I came to store today to do.

I ordered and collected right away at their collection point. Really friendly service and prompt with the greetings and acknowledge customers. I didn't have to wait around like I had to at Debenhams with the half asleep representative. I will go only here instead of Debenhams from now on. Less waiting better service :)

Probably the best place to buy kitchen appliances. Been buying from them last 20 years and the extended warranty is reliable and never been failed. Additional the prices are very market competitive. Delivery and customer service is amazing.

Customer services is zero. I went there today and wanted to buy hand mixer. One of the satff said they can not sell it because its only one left. So what there has been a time I bought the item which is last item in different Shop.Even the shop keeper said oh you are lucky because this is a last one. In john lewis No sorry I can not help you. Their head office should give them regularly training and mention them what is SMILE means. In this country moat of the customer service staff faces are like stony. No smiling. Its free' smiling 'to other people is make you and customer feel great. If you go to other countries example South East Asia they will treat you like you are a important person. Here they dont care at the end of the month they will get their wages. So its not their business and they dont care. In future not going there any more.

Large new department store in extended Westfield complex over 3 floors. Staff in all areas polite and enquire if help needed without being too pushy. Nice 'Place to Eat' on top floor with views over Television Centre from terrance. Good place for tea and cake or other light meal options.

I purchased from John Lewis a Busch washer/dryer in December last year it was a bout £800 but it keeps breaking down everytime I contact John's Lewis they send an engineer he fixes the problem then it happens again 3 months later, mostly is the dryer stops working so they change the fan and its overheats which a safety issue , this has happend twice john lewis is refusing to change the item they said they can only send an engineer, my worry is when the guarantee runs out it will be too expensive to pay for the engineer also being without the washer/dryer for 2 to 3 weeks at time waiting for an engineer, I have young children we are in a tiny flat with nowhere to hang the clothes. I have written to the CEO also made various complaints they still refusing. I know there customer service has gone down hill most likely that's why they are not doing well. Please avoid buying anything from them do not waste your money like I did.

Just wanted to say thank you to Brandon from John Lewis White City he helped me twice.
With regards buying a new laptop for my daughter he suggested that I should buy a chromebook instead of a laptop as this is more kid friendly. Also I had an issue with my PlayStation 4, as I arrived at the stores at 6:30pm there was no one around in tech department as they all finish before 7pm, but was suggested by the technical support team on the phone during the day that the tech support department will be open till 7pm, but Brandon was kindly enough to diagnose and help me to identify the problem on my PlayStation 4 which was very helpful.
John Lewis should employ more people like Brandon, which brings me faith to shop in John Lewis store again.
