The lovely care team at Ash Court really helped to settle Mum in when she became too ill to remain in her own home. They are friendly and cheerful and Mum says she feels very much at home there.
Her room is pleasant and clean as is the rest of the building. It has a very homely feel when you enter. Steven, the Manager, is always helpful and accommodating and responds quickly when contacted.

Ash Court is well managed home. The staff are kind and caring and really look after the residents. My aunt was very happy there for a good number of years. I would highly recommend this home.

My mother was at Ash Court for just over 2 years and we found the staff to be very caring. My mother was well cared for and the staff tried hard to make her stay happy. When there were minor issues that couldn’t be resolved with the staff, I would email Steven, the centre manager, who always replied quickly and dealt with our concerns.

I am a 17 year old student and I recently worked here for work experience. All of the previous reviews of this place have given the nursing home a really bad name. However, from my experience there, I realised that this all had happened in the past and staffing choice has improved dramatically since this last occurrence. Also, don't be fooled by the footage you see, some of the elderly people here would cry for help several times, without needing any, they simply wanted some attention and that was what I provided for them at my time there. I really recommend this place as it has now improved with camera footage almost everywhere and also strict staffing choice

Ash court is a very well run carehome. The staff are friendly and the residents are cared for very well. The home is kept spotlessly clean and there are many activities for the residents. The manager, Steven Anderson, is very hands-on and creates a warm, welcoming atmosphere. My mum recently died peacefully at the home and all the staff were very compassionate. Steven organised a lovely funeral tea and helped me through a very difficult time. I am very happy my mum spent her last 18 months in such a lovely place.

Ash court care home is supposedly a good home with a good report from the Care quality commission.
However, it was featured on the BBC television show Panorama, where it was found to have serious problems within the home. An 81 year old resident was slapped 7 times and was.pulled up and down the bed, and hurt very badly.she would have been effected tremendously because she was given a bath by a male man alone in her room, she was fed by somebody who cared more about watching Jeremy Kyle than the service user herself, 2 carers who entered her room spoke to each other in another language and this would have confused the service user as she has dementia and so doesn’t understand well. She was also put to be at 5.30pm, which is ridiculously early, especially for a person of her age, and doesn’t follow Ash courts policy or code of practice.
