Wow what an amazing experience we've had with TH Wigmore Street. Emily's eye for detail is exceptional and she has a true passion for what she does. The service and quality of detail, yet ease of making decisions has been seamless and is market leading. We couldn't be more happier with the service we've received, matched with the choice of design, colours and new ideas they have to offer.

We found the whole experience of buying a kitchen from Tom Howley kitchens very professional and efficient. Our kitchen designer Richard visited us in our home , listened to what we wanted and our budget, and came up with a design which was exactly what we had hoped for. We then went to the Wigmore Street and Tonbridge Wells showrooms so we could be more confident about the ranges , colour schemes , worktops , flooring and features that we wanted. We never felt rushed or pressured and Richard was very helpful giving us guidance or suggestions when we were overwhelmed by choice. He had to make some adjustments to the plan due to some alterations with our original building plans and again went the extra mile to find a design that fitted our needs. Even once we had signed up he was still very responsive to any queries we had. The showrooms are quite large so you see lots of options and you are well looked after in a relaxed environment.

We visited the showroom in the very early stages of considering our new kitchen and it was the best decision we made. We found the staff to be extremely welcoming and helpful - very happy to spend time on our very naive line of questions! Having dealt with several kitchen designers on our project, I'll make special mention to Jay who is based here - who stood out for his (i) service, (ii) design inspiration, (iii) extraordinary attention to detail, (iv) just being a very genuine and nice chap!

I have held off writing this review for a very long time but I have now reached the end of my patience. A year on from when our installation began and our kitchen is still not finished. We have had issue after issue from bent taps, faulty light transformers, ovens that were not fitted correctly, paint work that was below standard, cracked sealant, drawers that were not flush and now our bin will not even close. We were pressured into buying all of our appliances through Tom Howley as they would be ‘insured if they were faulty or damaged’, yet it took 9 months to receive a new tap after the first arrived damaged. The veneer in one of our cupboards has been installed so poorly that the wood chip is clearly exposed and when fitting our oven another section of veneer was damaged. I was told that it cannot be fixed without installing the whole cupboard again and that I would have to live with it. It is not uncommon for wooden kitchen to have some movement in the months after installation, however, a number of sections of skirting have completely separated from our units and have had to be refitted. These now look an utter mess and weeks later a painter has not been organised to come and rectify the situation. To add insult to injury the fitter accused us of damaging the skirting ourselves. This same fitter has been rude and condescending on a number of occasions. I will admit that I am a perfectionist, but Tom Howley kitchens come at a premium and so we expected the completed article to be perfect. I am now thoroughly disappointed with the end result and regret wasting thousands of pounds on this mistake.

Really disappointed. We placed a deposit with Tom Howley and the designer told us repeatedly it was refundable. We also checked with his colleague. We then changed our mind, which we had been assured was fine, and requested our money back. We not only didn't get our money back, but they also ignored two further emails asking for it back. Only when we telephoned did they say we couldn't get our deposit back as they had made drawings. Needless to say, this was never explained to us. The designer also told us he never said the deposit was not refundable when we checked so many times it was. I feel cheated. Just to note: after seeing this review the general manager got in touch and apologised and refunded our deposit. Maybe the salesman was just a bad apple in an otherwise OK company.

My wife Catherine and I were looking to install a new kitchen in our house. Our original one was about 30 years old so we were way out of touch with current designs etc. We tried a few local kitchen installers, but what we wanted was inspiration not a modern re-run of our old kitchen. We live in NE London and travel into central London quite often and so the Wigmore Street branch of Tom Howley was the easiest to get to. We visited the store and was spoken to by Richard Horrocks one of their sales team. He was very helpful and what attracted us toTom Howley was the fact that they had a core number of current designs which could be adapted and personalised dependant on what you wanted. Richard visited our house and then came up with suggestions and layout options. We then returned to the store later to view the design drawings that had been made to show us the new kitchen and utility room. We were very happy with the basic design and went ahead with the process. We then spent nearly two whole days with Richard in store going through the design item by item. On the day we did ovens etc Richard even took us to John Lewis just around the corner to look at fridges etc. He also took us across to the Miele showroom which is a stone’s throw away and showed us their range of kitchen equipement. He suggested that we do a taster lunch at the Miele showroom to find out how best to use the Miele ovens and hob that we eventually picked. Well worth the effort,a great lunch and very informative. We spent loads of time picking worktops and even went to the Chelsea Tom Howley branch to see different ones in situ. When we were in the showroom we were offered tea, coffee and sandwhiches by the reception staff. Special mention to Victoria who even offered one day to walk us to the tube station with an umbrella as it was raining. Did we have any problems during the installation ? Yes we did, but only over minor issues which you would get in any building project. All solveable with a bit of compromise and effort. When it all turns up on the day it is a frightening amount of stuff, but the delivery guys were great and got it all in without any mishaps (4 of them altogether). Our installer Shahid was really fast and efficient. Came up with some excellent ideas about the fitting and helped us with aspects of the fitting we hadn’t thought about. Our builders sorted all the construction work prior to installation. All happened to schedule. Our kitchen is now two years old and was it worth the time and money ? It most certainly was. Not for everyone, but we are more than pleased that we dealt with this showroom. Obviously can’t dispute other people’s experience of Tom Howley, but we are more than pleased with the outcome, even two years plus down the line.

Form over function. Details over the big picture. Closing my beautiful cupboard doors will forever sound like the end of Eastenders.

We have recently had the pleasure of getting the most beautiful kitchen from Tom Howley. The whole experience from start to finish was an absolute joy. The level of detail that they deploy and the craftsmanship that they offer is several steps up from anything else we looked at. I would like to compliment William Manfredi our kitchen designer who patiently sat with us for hours as we made change after change to get things absolutely right. We had a certain space to fit everything in that we needed, so the bespoke aspect was something that was really crucial to us. The on-site teams were so precise to ensure all final measurements were passed back to the factory to ensure no errors would occur when everything arrived to be fitted. The fitting teams were quick, polite and so incredibly tidy that you could tell when this was all being expertly managed by Peter Wickham, that Tom Howley Kitchens is an extremely professsional outfit and is a well oiled machine that deserves the plaudits it gets. The craftsmanship is really something that has to be witnessed and enjoyed and although it is definitely a financially commitment to go with Tom Howley, you will definitely not be disappointed. The wow factor, if that’s what you are after in a kitchen, is something you certainly achieve and I cannot thank them enough for all the assitance they gave us to make this experience as pleasurable as possible.
