Roundhouse Design

We are delighted with our Roundhouse kitchen. The quality is excellent and exactly what we hoped for, and the installation was painless. We found Roundhouse to be very professional and easy to deal with. Our designer listened very carefully to what we wanted (which a lot of competitors did not do) and delivered an excellent design. She helped us greatly throughout the selection process and made everything very easy. We were assigned a project manager who managed suppliers and liaised with our builders, keeping the project on track and us informed of progress. He was extremely well organised, very responsive and very helpful and we felt that he had our interests at heart at all times. Our installer was excellent. His workmanship and fitting were meticulous, he was neat and tidy and always turned up on time. We are very happy with our kitchen and with the service we received from Roundhouse.

It looks great, but for the price my wife spent on this kitchen I would have expected a much more hard wearing paint finish. And it never looks clean, as water marks show up so badly on the surface.

Roundhouse worked hard to complete our new kitchen before lockdown and we can't thank them enough, particularly Karim the fitter, who went above and beyond to get things finished. With 5 adults now unexpectedly at home it has really been put through its paces and has stood up to the test. The space is transformed, it's far easier to use than our previous kitchen and the new storage has meant that all the normal clutter has disappeared. From the initial design to completion Roundhouse has been thoroughly professional, helpful and shown some really creative thinking with our limited space. We are very pleased with the results and would not hesitate to recommend.

We are so pleased with our new kitchen designed by Roundhouse. Lauren in the Guildford office was so amazingly patient with us and after a lot of deliberation, we have ended up with the most beautiful kitchen! The attention to detail, quality of installation and finishing touches have been amazing. Would definitely recommend!

We absolutely love our Roundhouse Kitchen and we can’t praise the team at Roundhouse enough! Our Kitchen designer Daniel was absolutely fantastic to work with and his technical expertise, practical tips and design flair was instrumental in creating the personal, unique kitchen that is now the heart of our home. The quality and fit of the kitchen is exactly as requested and we love the fact that the kitchens are built in Malvern, Worcestershire. The Roundhouse after care service has also been much appreciated and included a visit from the lovely Amy who gave us the confidence to use our shiny new ovens to their full potential. An all round wonderful experience from start to finish and thank you again to the Roundhouse team.

Roundhouse worked tirelessly to ensure that we were delighted with our kitchen. They listened attentively to our ideas and developed them to produce a wonderful kitchen - the envy of friends and neighbours. They had to work cooperatively both on and off site with a huge range of other professionals including the architect and the garden design team to ensure a seamless transition from kitchen to garden. Roundhouse designed, and installed our kitchen in the South of France. The kitchen was designed by Robyn who came up with some imaginative ideas to maximise the space and make it a real hub for the entire house. We were slightly concerned that the job was abroad, but we shouldn’t have been. The surveyor Jim flew over to measure the space, and with accurate drawings the manufacturing process and subsequent fitting was seamless. The fitter Rick and the decorator Rob worked as a great team and the finish on the final product is first class and now the focal point of our home. The kitchens are very nice, but they can be hugely more expensive to fit than you at first realise. Since Roundhouse do not take on the whole job - as in production, fitting AND connecting the power supply –, you effectively need to have a whole separate building team on hand to complete the work. Surely it would make sense for them to take on the job in full, guaranteeing every step of it at their own very high spec, and ensure 100% customer satisfaction...

Extremely efficient and easy to work with.

We purchased a £70,000 kitchen from Roundhouse. The kitchen came with a number of elements different to what we agreed on with the sales rep. When we tried to point out the discrepancies, we were told we had agreed to them (later that story was revisited) The hugely expensive manually painted doors had paint flaking off and had to be corrected by hand. A specialist came to deal with it 5 or 6 times and the doors now look much worse, with the faults even more visible. The sink waste disposal unit broke down three times which resulted in pipe blockage and flooding. We had pools of water coming from under our hugely expensive parquet floor yet Rondhouse's plumbers tried to blame the problem on our house design (it was in fact the inability of the waste disposal to process a large volume of potato peels). The joint in our £11K island is unusually wide and annoyingly visible but Roundhouse dismissed it, claiming it was within acceptable limits (as usual the client's opinion mattered very little). The doors of the pantry being too heavy, we needed extra hinges which in turn made the pantry very difficult to open. I still have to use my foot and my nails each morning in order to open the door and prepare breakfast. I am told the issue is on their list to correct...The hob broke down on the second month of usage, an electrician showed up rather promptly but he left straight away when he found out I cannot provide a parking space for him outside our property. The next one came a few days later (don't ask me how we managed without a hob with 3 young kids) but turned up at 7am, unannounced. I have arrived at a point where I am happy to accept any fault just not to have to see a Roundhouse rep ever again in my house. Their presence creates unnecessary stress given they block the kitchen for hours; the kitchen is the most used area in a house, especially if one has a large family with young children. This nightmare has been going on for 6 months; as much as I love our hand painted (and rather unique looking) grey kitchen doors, I would have never dared use Roundhouse - they have wasted a lot of my time and we are still far away from being finished!

After extensive research and numerous visits to multiple kitchen showrooms, we settled on Roundhouse Design as offering the best value for money - and we're very pleased that we did! Our designers Robyn and Oli listened carefully to our requirements and made excellent suggestions that maximised the available space. They understood the look we were after and, because of their recommendations, we have an extremely stylish and practical kitchen. No detail escaped their notice: they were very good at gently steering us away from certain misguided notions and they enthusiastically incorporated and improved our ideas that worked. What could have been a deeply stressful process was in fact a pleasure. As a result of all the time and care they put into the design, we have a beautifully bespoke kitchen. The installation process was smooth. Damian coordinated everything perfectly with our builders - and frankly deserves a medal for his brilliant organisational skills. We did have a problem with one appliance - and while the manufacturers let us down, Roundhouse Design did not. The aftercare was excellent. Oli and Damian continued to work with us and provide us with support and assistance - even though our desired solution was particularly complicated (we had to abandon the appliance). They were steadfast and ensured the problem was resolved to our satisfaction. I doubt that even John Lewis would have provided us with such excellent customer care.
