Really lovely. I bought some shoes that I wasn't sure would fit. I called up in advance to check that they had the right size and they have put them aside for me for the next day.
I've also been here lots of times before and they have a great selection and often very good discounts.

I ordered a North Face duffle bag from Blacks website for our daughter's birthday. The bag was never delivered to me as the courier returned to the sender. For over 3 weeks now I have been chasing my payment to be refunded without success.
No-one in Blacks customer service can tell me if the bag has been returned to the warehouse and are treating it as a customer return, with the refund processing time of 14 days after returning to the warehouse!!
Very poor customer service - Yesterday I ordered the same bag from surfdome.com which came the next day.

Awful customer service. Firstly they forgot half my order and then took several days to acknowledge my compliment. Second, they stated I would have a refund after days of arguing with them. Another seven days later I'm chasing the refund again. Will never shop with them again. Go outdoors however have been fantastic!!!

I would like to say Thank you to Craig (shop assistant) who was extremely patient and helpful with us . He brings his high knowledge at work. Over a year I had a pain in my leg and non of the insole did not solved my problem, but he helped me he showed one insole explain everything about it and now I have no pain at all. Thank you Craig keep it up.

The crutch for the any expeditions I go on. They have made mistakes, for example a staff member missread the stock list meaning i wouldnt be able to make the order. Having realised the mistake she chased me down and apologised many times. There is also a chap that works there and i see him everytime... he probably think I live there, the amount I visit lol

Nice clean organised... A bit expensive but they price match and take 10% off if they do. No signal in the store though for internet or calls. Really nice staff, friendly, human and they don't hound you to offer help

The place itself is nicely laid out, not cramped together. The staff were great, extremely helpful and honest, not looking to get you buy the most expensive equipment, but the right equipment for what you need. Definately recommend them.

Clean well laid out store, a range of goods on display making buying in store better than online as able to look and feel the products. I bought a pair of merrell walking shoes. The staff were very friendly, knowledge and extremely helpful. Unfortunately I cannot remember the name of the member of staff who assisted me or I would have mentioned him. He went out of his way to make sure I bought the correct fitting shoes ensuring I walked around the store and up/down a slope to check for correct fitting. If I'd bought online I would have bought size I usually wear and ended up with shoes too small. Definitely recommend this store.

I've been hiking and walking for many years now and like most people i like to get a bargain online so i went to my local blacks to try on a pair of walking boots with the intention of buying something cheaper online .I was so impressed with
The service and advice that I received you can tell the staff actually know what they are talking about and actually do go hiking etc ironically I found a pair of good boots online reduced by 50% through blacks click and collect .
The other thing I should mention is they can stretch boots if one shoe is too tight free of charge ! You don't get that at the so called cheaper stores .
