Had an excellent bacon and bubble here priced at 3 pound. The bacon was delicious cooked and the bubble had an amazing flavour and char. All fresh off the flat top which looked incredible. Lovely ambiance and friendly patron.

Friendly ladies cooking basic but tasty English breakfasts. The sausages were butchers quality and the lack of pretension was refreshing. You don't go here for smashed avocado and all that nonsense. Sausage chips and egg. Yum.

No-frills old school cafe. They do a superb breakfast. My steak sandwich in a bap was superb - so good that I opted for another sandwich Excellent value and efficient service. Seating available.

Old school café offering great breakfast options for low prices. The bubble and the blood sausage is excellent. The service is fast and friendly, but make sure you have cash as they do not accept cards.

Had a bacon, cheese and egg bap. Incredible. The Bap was so soft, the cheese in the perfect amount, bacon right out of the grill and egg just to finish it in elegance :) LOVELY

Before Borough Market was made modern, Maria's has been serving traditional English food for 50 years.
Recently went there for bubble which was ready within a flash after ordering.
Overall affordable and delicious so it was definitely worth checking out.

We were fortunate to meet Maria. What a lovely down to earth hard working lady. We had her famous bubble and squeak. Delicious!!! was a treat for my daughter Lin. We went last August but she didn't come. Hope we return soon. Thanks Maria for serving us. Even though you were clearning up after a 12 hour shift

I must be honest here ... I was slightly disappointed after the visit to the highly commended cafe???? Firstly, the service. I was expecting a granny style comforting warm service such as ‘Yes dear, what can I get you dear ...? ( with a big smile)’ ish - but what I got was an efficient but quite mechanical, McDonald style customer service. You definitely made to feel you got to quickly bark your order and get out. Maybe she used to be like that and the business got too busy to be warm and friendly ? It was Sat morning so yes the cafe was busy but not hugely so. And the FOOD ? Well, frankly speaking this was a let down. Yes it was nicely cooked with the reasonable price ( yes I will give you that !) but it was not a huge, hearty meal I was expecting. My bubble and squeak was unseasoned and bland ( sorry, what’s the fuss about in the review ? I’m really puzzled ) My bacon was rather dry. Only one egg. ( I would pay more for heartier meal !) my friend’s sausage bap looked tiny and sausage halved. Maybe I caught them in a wrong day or maybe my expectation was sky high. Still a good place to go for a quick breaky in the busy market ... just adjust your expectation accordingly. And use load of salt and pepper to season your bubbles ????

My cousin and i purchased two different sandwiches from the grumpy woman at the counter which acted like I was inturuped her when I ordered. Later my sister wanted to try it so we went back this time my cousin got ice cream from another stand. We sat down OUTSIDE of their gate thing to eat more food that we purchased from Maria's market cafe and the one cup of ice cream. It took the grumpy woman maybe five seconds to notice but the moment she did she started barking at us that we can eat where we were. I would love to give a three star for the food but I'm giving one star because of the staffing.

Was told by Maria's staff that she didn't work on Wednesdays, such a shame, her staff were amazing, the food ordered bubble and squeak, bacon, egg, beans with bread was a perfect portion, we're going again to try the burgers, I had a peek of a customers one and it was a beast!!!

Buen sitio donde comer después de visitar el impresionante mercado. Tienen sandwiches y rolls de diferente pan con exquisito bacon, muy buena carne e incluso hígado de primera. Los precios son muy asequibles y el personal muy agradable y eficaz. Tiene una bonita terraza para disfrutar de tu almuerzo.

Olvidate de las presentaciones y si quieres una hamburguesa con todo lo que ello significa adelante.Contundente.Las preparan al momento esn una especie de food truck regentado por los dueños.En el fondo están exquisitas pero no pienses en tu colesterol.
Forget about the presentations and if you want a hamburger with all that it means ahead.Prepare at the moment is a kind of food truck run by the owners.They are exquisite but do not think about your cholesterol.
