If you love all things Japanese then WA Cafe is for you. Exquisite cakes individual and larger occasion cakes. Beautifully presented and delicious to eat. Also great sandwiches and hot and cold drinks. Large cakes can be ordered on line and picked up. A great experience all round. Enjoy.

Been in this place many times and tried different cakes and sandwiches and it is always good. The cake is light and not too sweet and the their bread is really soft and tasty. Staff are so nice, polite and helpful.

I strongly recommend the matcha roll and matcha tiramisu! I am a big matcha fan and I think this place is famous for its authentic Japanese patisserie!! It’s my second time to buy the matcha roll from there!

Calm and peaceful place with minimal style interior. You can feel the Japanese vibe (Zen) and soothing background music. Cakes look good, but the tase is alright for me; altough I think it's a little expensive. I will perhaps recommend if you wanna find a quiet place with Japanese dessert and coffee/tea.

I love their cakes, yes it’s incredibly busy and packed (especially with eat out to help out). We got a takeaway instead, it was so nicely packed when we got home, they are still immaculate within the box. They are delicious, light and delicate. I strongly recommend their Mont Blanc - it’s the lightest and nicest version I tried.

I absolutely LOVE this café. The cakes are so good. Highly recommend the white sesame cheese cake and strawberry slices. Matcha croissant and black sesame croissant are also good. I tried every single type. Of course, depends on your own taste. they are all amazing, you would not be disappointed. Teas and coffee is not as exceptional as the cakes. Enjoy!

Tried matcha tiramisu and their tea. Extremely overpriced and tasted very cheap and generic. Would not go again.

WA cafe has a beautiful and delicious selection of cakes and desserts that are light and well priced. The Easter Sakura Panna cotta was the highlight of their selection. Also available are hot drinks and sandwiches

This place is so nice. The staff are so polite. The food was amazing and so was the service. Tried one cocktail and stuck to that because it tasted SO GOOD! Called the hurricane. I would highly recommend this place.

Egg sandwich used to be much better but now it is same as supermarket filling quality. Very pricy

I just wanted to give you 5***** for your Matcha Tiramisu. It was the softest, creamiest, best ever matcha cake I had in London. Omg. I don't know what you do with it, but pretty please, do not change the recipe!!! Big hugs and load of love. I will send my bf back to buy more :* xxxxxxxx!

Cakes are good and close to Japanese quality. But I was disappointed to find that the hoji tea they sell there is marked up so high. The hoji tea is wrapped in WA brand paper but when I looked at the tea bags inside it looks like £5-6 tea from any Japanese super market. I bought it for £14 lol

(25/08) The best matcha latte in London. You can actually taste the matcha and it's not overpowered by the milk. We tried three different desserts, and all of them were incredibly satisfying. The care that has been taken to produce the product definitely shows, as each cake/pastry was made to perfection. Definitely not overly rich or stodgy, but each bite was heaven. The cafe was clean, with the toilets being no exception. The staff were a credit to the cafe and friendly. The service was extremely quick.

the cakes here are very light and fluffy, with the exception of the chocolate ones, which are rich and would taste great alongside some warm coffee. the cakes aren't too sweet and they taste so delicious. my favourite was the strawberry cake :) i loved the cafe aesthetic: it was clean and minimalistic and looked elegant. the only thing is the cakes are a bit on the pricey side, but still worth it. The drinks are really refreshing too.

Very soft sponge cake and not too sweet taste which is my favorite one. Cosy but clean and tidy. The cakes are bit pricy. They have many kind of drinks.

I love WA. Super authentic cakes and drinks. I go there whenever I miss the cake shops I adored so much living in Japan. The mont blanc is to die for! As is the strawberry shortcake. Honestly, you can't go wrong. Only downside is it's often full of loud Chinese tourists. So maybe get your cake to go.

Great chill place for aesthetically pleasing cakes. However it is the desserts are on the sweeter side.

Best Curry Bun, Ebi Tempura Sandwich and Sesame Latte in the whole of London. Beautiful plating, crispy tempura and really unique bread. The strawberry roll cake is just out of the world. The cake layer is soft and goes well with the creamy texture. The strawberry chunks inside are very refreshing and wouldn't be too sweet or too sour.

The cakes here are really nice and always will give you a surprise with new things on the menu. Also the hot drinks are nice as well with different flavours as well. Especially the black sesame latte.

Tried their strawberry shortcake and the sponge was incredibly soft and delicious. The whipped cream was too sweet for me personally though

Food Ordered the white sesame cheesecake. The cheese part was velvety smooth as butter. Bottom crust made with black sesame was deliciously crumbly and nutty. At first glance the portion size seems small but it’s actually the right amount before you feel like you’ve had too much. Ambience Love the clean atmosphere of this place and definitely feels like something you’d experience in Japan. The place itself is quite small and despite going in just after opening it became quite full quite quickly. Even being full, it felt quite spacious if a bit noisy. Service The service was very friendly and attentive. Price Reasonable prices. It’s what you’d normally pay for desert and coffee but given the quality I’d say it is well worth it.

Amazing cakes! Super fluffy and light and not too sweet. Drinks are good too. They use soya milk normally which is a plus for vegans and dairy allergies. Matcha roll cake is a favourite, perfectly balanced sweetness and matcha flavour. I find the strawberry shortcake a tad too sweet as our slice didn't have much strawberries.

I am a huge fan of WA cafe! They do the best cakes in town! I'm not a huge fan of the English very heavy cakes but the Japanese ones are not only very fresh but very light as they don't put too much sugar! Only gave it 4 stars because it gets pretty crowded and there's not much seats available which is a shame. It's pretty good for takeaway though! Once you try these cakes you won't go back to any others ????

I can safely say WA has to be my top choice of Japanese desserts in London. Their quality is unrivalled. My strawberry shortcake had a light sponge and the airy cream was delicately sweet. The sakura roll cake while pleasant but I wasn’t too sure what to make of it. I have never tried anything inspired by this flower prior. There’s more tables but due to its popularity, we still weren’t able to get a seat.

Delicious cakes and doesn't feel sickly sweet either. Love the range of cakes, teas and coffees available. Good variety of Japanese cakes and sandwiches. Do wish the place was slightly bigger as at times it's hard to get a seat.

Deliciously yummy desserts! Definitely planning to come back to try out all the cakes! Great packaging! They put a roll inside the box so the cakes wouldn't wobble or break apart. Good idea! One downfalls to this place is the heat itself inside the cafe...its extremely humid in there. I understand it was winter and cold outside but the cafe felt was unbelievably un-breathable. I ended up taking it for take out and wanted be outside as soon as possible.

The only authentic Japanese cafe in Central London that I know of set up by two very talented patisseries who also run the hugely popular WA cafe in Ealing. All the friendly staff, the ingredients, chefs, cakes, bread — it’s all Japanese and if you have ever been to a bakery in Japan you’ll know that’s a very big deal.

I will give 5stars if it's for the tast/flavour of their products, no doubt!! They are the best patisserie and cutest cafe in London!! But unfortunately, their staff are not so friendly though...

One of the best cafes serving Japanese patisserie. Would recommend the black sesame latte & Mont Blanc

Large selection of Japanese patisserie/cakes which are regularly restocked. Modern and clean design which is consistent with their Ealing branch. Serves matcha/hojicha tea lattes and drip coffee, although their matcha latte is not as well made as their other branch. There are also savoury breads, katsu prawn/chicken sandwiches as well as the classic Japanese curry fried doughnuts.

Cozy Japanese cafe - good place to try Asian-flavored desserts that use French patisserie techniques. The white sesame cheesecake along with the black sesame latte were both unique and delicious. The strawberry roulade was light and fluffy.

Not a lot of tables where you can sit at but an overall very cosy atmosphere. Some tables have plugs next to them so you could study/work whilst charging your device. There are more tables and the back of the store. There is also a stamp collecting scheme where you collect 10 stamps they give you a free drink I believe.

I wasn't very pleased with my options: the matcha latte felt watery ( the milk was just tesco quality- literally!) and the green tea bun did not feel fresh.... over priced for what you get. My friend's sesame cheesecake was nice but still expensive for what you get...

Love this beautiful little Japanese cafe in Covent Garden! This is an outpost of the original cafe in Ealing. The pastries - both savoury and sweet - and cakes are absolutely delicious. My favourite is the strawberry Swiss roll. The drinks, especially the matcha latte, are really yummy. The service is friendly and efficient. Definitely stop by when you're next in Covent Garden!

The strawberry shortcake is very nice as it is light and fluffy. The sesame cheesecake is also delicious and does not have an overwhelming taste. However the cakes are expensive so it is something you wouldn't have often.
