Undercover market with hundreds of independent stalls serving everything from clothing and shoes to art and accessories. There's food stalls too and it's a great place to come shop for gifts (even if they are for yourself) and feast on some of London's best street food too.

So fun to walk through. And so much selection to choose from where to eat. We had fish & chips at Poppies. Not bad, considering it's not my favorite. Fun place to spend a couple hours.

Had a gr8 time at Jerk and Beyond listening and dancing to old school tunes. Food and rum cocktails were delicious. Shame had to stop mid way due to health and safety crowd capacity was high. Bigger venue required next year and more structure for purchasing food. Brilliant end to the bank holiday.

This is well worth a visit if your in the area.I went during the week where there were quite a few market stalls selling posters, jewellery, clothes, gifts etc, plus food and drink stalls. Along the outside of the market there are about 10 street food Van's selling lots of different world foods, the queues were full of local office staff mainly so I'm guessing the food is good, as it was so busy. There are some lovely boutiques type shops and your usual restaurants like wagamamas, giraffe etc. At the weekend it is really busy , but there are more market stalls plus brick lane is open, so you can make a day out of it. There are some lovely places to sit down and enjoy your food if you take it away, mainly on walls or benches but it's interesting looking at all the buildings and public passing by.

A big market with lots of food stalls and shops selling all kinds of clothing. While it is a good place to get something to eat, I definitely wouldn't consider it a must-visit place as some guide books say it is.

I liked it. I visited it on a Friday afternoon and it wasn't too busy. I think it could be more varied exposure. I have not seen, for example, electrical/electronic items, nor DIY projects...

I visited the art market. Saw some nice artwork although I expected to see a lot more on display than there was. There were other items on sale from bags to clothes, jewellery and leather items. Loads of pop up food stalls too.

Yeah it was good. My recommendation would be to clear out all the stalls and put in some skate ramps. A couple of half pipes. Phone box. And a few rails for grinding. This might take a while, so probably leave it as it is for the time being.

Old Spitalfields Market has a fascinating history and interior. A fabulous place for interesting independent market stalls, hand crafts, clothes, jewellery, good coffee, some amazing fresh food from across the world. Some great music events here too and a short walk from Liverpool street tube. Well worth a visit.

Haven’t been to Spitalfields for years and boy what a pleasant surprise. A great day out for foodies (which we are) and shoppers alike. There are some unique stalls to browse around - you are bound to buy something. The selection of different cuisines available is mouthwatering. We had the steamed buns with fried chicken on this occasion but going back next weekend with a good appetite to experience more. A nice mix of tourists and locals.

What a fun market! I’m definitely coming back if I get a chance to come back to London again. I’m so glad I went there. I found so many great treasures there! I also got to meet the artists who’ve made them. And one of a kind. LOVE IT!

Not my usual type of place. Lots of different shopping options, upmarket boutiques and food. There was some live gospel singers which added to the atmosphere. The area has a large amount of excellent street art.

Great market, a lot more food options than before. The Taiwanese store that sells tofu deserts are great - pretty authentic. The Taiwanese bubble tea store and the Chinese lamb/chicken wraps are excellent too.

It's a nice place to get some ideas/inspiration, but overall very sketchy pricing that only tourists will fall for... Some things are truly a unique piece of arts but I would check twice before buying anything.

Despite being really really busy, there's a lot of variety of stores here which are great for browsing. The real charm of this place however is the variety of food stores that are popped up all over the place. It's definitely a lot better on weekdays and if you're around the area, definitely worth a quick visit.

I am thrilled by the pace of this markets improvement. Many new food, drink and gift stalls and really spacious environment to spend some time in even wt the weekends! I think it has already gone ahead of Borough market

10 out of 10 for quality street food choice from stalls plus eat in and takeaway outlets around the market. Very busy and vibrant with a mix of 70% workers / 30% tourists grabbing a wide range of delicious foods. If you are in the area it's worth a visit just to refuel and people watch in between shopping. The market itself has a wide range of stalls, and worth a browse - especially the second hand stall near to the 'filled nan' and the 'fish and chips' stall ar the back of the market. Enjoy your visit- we did, and finished our food off with a cold glass of beer from the place on the corner.

I live across the road from this market and it has grown to be one of my favourite places in town. They spent a whole load of money upgrading the food bit a few months back and surprisingly it still retains their initial good looks. There are loads of very tasty food options for lunch and the vintage market can occasionally surprise you with a hidden gem.

I’ve only been here twice, but the atmosphere is wonderful! There’s food available to suit all tastes, from all countries, and plenty available for vegans/vegetarians. The first time I went it was very busy, but it was a weekend and daytime so that’s to be expected. The second time was around 4pm in a weekday, and although a few stalls were closing up, there was still plenty to see and eat, and there was hardly anyone there so it was perfect! There are some great stalls and shops.

Perfect place to visit in the weekends when the market is full of stalls where you can find everything from artwork to clothing plus numerous places selling yummy food. Not as much going on during the weekdays so I recommend this place for a Sunday excursion.

I love markets and Old Spitalfields Market is a great place to browse and mingle. I went for the records and was not disappointed, there was a huge selection and easy to browse through. The best compliment I can give is to say that I want to go back, I do for Old Spitalfields.

Just an OK place to drop by. Was there on a Saturday afternoon, stalls started to pack up from 5.00pm, maybe because it is right in downtown and getting ready for the ghost town mood..... just my guess. Have a good deal on 1 dozen of oysters.......

Interesting place with very different shops and restaurants. Lot of people here so expect some queue for the food but the choice is amazing. If you are looking for a gift it could be a great place too as you will find plenty of little shops both new and antique. If you are a tourist you can definitely have fun here. If you are working around the area it's a great place to go with colleagues :)

My favourite market! Fantastic range of stalls and unbelievably good food with choices for all dietary requirements! Looking for a new wardrobe? Plenty of stalls selling quality clothing and especially look out for the alpaca stall that sells cosy, Peruvian jumpers! (Definite must for the autumn/winter!) I could spend a whole day here and there is also a mezzanine level where you can go to hot yoga and get some great views of the market below. Go visit and be inspired!
