I am more than satisfied with the Gayle and Tom Benson Cancer Center! The entire staff goes above and beyond to make patients and visitors feel welcomed. Whether I am in the building or on the phone I am I treated with great concern and every consideration is given.
Dr. Daniel Johnson and NP Carlie Scot are amazing. I trust both of them so much. When I have a question it is answered very quickly and thoroughly. They treat me like a person and I really feel they care about me.

Parking is terrible the lot for the Benson center should be gated like the hospital parking garage. Hard for many patients to park because others going to hospital park there leaving not enough spaces for the patients it was intended to serve in the cancer center who are frequently weak.The patient care however is superior very beautiful place seemless care once you can make it inside.

I’ve been coming to the Benson Cancer center since June. I have had the most wonderful and caring nurses here. Getting great care and compassion. Always tentative to my needs. I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. I’m very satisfied with the care team. All have been so caring that goes a long way when you are going through chemo and cancer. God bless all of them and my doctors. Totally feel at home when I have my treatments.

It's always a wonderful experience when I visit The Gayle and Tom Benson Cancer Center. The staff and doctors care for you to the fullest. They put all their patients first and is very concerned about the care and health of each patient. Sometimes I feel down knowing I have to come for treatment or to the doctor but as soon as I'm greeted by a member of the staff they change my whole attitude and put me back into a positive mode. Sometimes, I can be encouraging to other patients around me sharing my journey and care at the Cancer Center. I truly love all the staff, doctors and nurses because they truly love and care for all their patients. It's always a pleasure visiting The Gayle and Tom Benson Cancer Center. I'm truly grateful for the care that I'm receiving.

My experience at the Gayle and Tom Benson Caner Center has always been excellent. The nurses take very good care of you and make each infusion experience as painless as possible. My favorite experience is when someone is able to ring the bell signifying their last treatment. The patient is usually surrounded by nurses and they celebrate the event. Although it may seem small, it is huge for that person! It also gives others hope and the desire to ring that bell one day.

I was blown away with how kind all your employees were. I hadn’t experienced this with other medical facilities since moving to New Orleans. It wasn’t just one or two individuals, it was every single person. I’ve never had so many good mornings before! The biggest gift in today’s world that you can give anyone, but especially a person who is dealing with health issues or is with someone who is, is the gift of a smile & human interaction. ❤️????IT WAS MY FIRST TREATMENT AND MY NURSE JENNIFER MAY ME FEEL COMFORTABLE AND THAT I WAS IN GOOD HANDS AS WELL!! I myself is a patient Provider’s!! MY GOAL AND PURPOSE IN LIFE IS TO TAKE CARE OF PEOPLE AND MAKE THEM FEEL LIKE THEY ARE IN GOOD HANDS !CARING IS A BLESSING AND I’M GRATEFUL TO GOD THATS IS SOMETHING THAT I DO WITH EASE! The nurses at the Cancer center always take great care of me they're very attentive and very kind !!! Yesterday the nurse contacted my doctor through their portal system and told him of the symptoms that I was having. No one responded by the end of my my treatment. I got down there to find that all the doctors and nurse practitioners were gone. Time 4:40pm. Mind you it took them awhile to sign for my treatment meds earlier. So no one could see me and I've been up in the center since 10:30 that morning and they were told about 11:30 of my symptoms. No one came to address it at all and as tend here lately- they always want you to come back another day. When I was there a good part of the day today.You can't take a moment to see me. I have a problem with that is this a money racket or is this a patient care center?

My brother Joseph Simon is most Grateful for the Compassionate care he receives at Gayle and Tom Benson Cancer Center. Joseph speaks highly of his doctors, nurses, social workers, clerks, lab techs, xray techs and radiologist, and all other health providers. Joseph makes sure our brother and me be on Time getting him to his treatment; Joseph saids " they keep me Alive." Care was excellent but work needs to be done about how patients families are handled in the DOSC waiting room. Doctor that performed the procedure on my wife tried to contact us after procedure for consult and we never heard our name being called. He said he even called the desk to have us paged and there again never heard anything. We never left the area that we were sitting in the whole time we were there. Doctor had to call me on my cell phone which was was not how he or I wanted to be brought up to speed on how procedure went. This resulted in a confortation between the doctor and I that was not warented. Please make sure that the families are treated a little better because that are really the ones under the most stress when a loved one is under your care.

I was there with my dad. The nurse we had Pauline was often MIA during his chemo and very distracted and busy. Also, she was not very friendly and my dad really needed comforting and compassion and was so incredibly nice to her. Her reaction was disinterested. I did not like this level of care for my dad with Stage 4 Cancer. And also, she said he must use the restroom alone they do not help patients with ambulatory needs. What? The last time the nurse offered a urinal and screen. This one, Pauline, did not. We have had Chemo there about 5 times, but only one nurse was memorable and friendly. They are usually overworked and appear dis-compassionate.
