Great covid measures, staff are BRILLIANT. I went in a week after my appointment as had an issue with my glasses and they fixed them straight away!

Very disappointed in the service offered. And in a world where everyone is looking after their long term customers, Specsavers in Portslade showed that it doesn't matter for them if one client stays or leaves.

Very helpful and friendly staff. They repaired my glasses for free even though I’d had them for just over a year (and therefore they were just out of warranty). They fixed them there and then and I was very happy with the customer service I received as they didn’t have to do it. Thank you again!

Very friendly and professional reception, excellent service from Optician, optical advisor and contact lens lady Meghan. Moved here from Hove branch once it opened, this branch runs much better with time keeping and staff seem much happier! Very attentive and chatty staff, also patient with my son when learning to use contact lenses. We won't go anywhere else!!

I was so pleased with my visit to this Specsavers store. The staff were extremely friendly and the optical assistant who helped me (Megan) was so lovely, helpful and knowledgeable. She sat with me for ages whilst I chose my glasses and really went out of her way to make sure I chose the right ones for me (she was also very patient as I am very indecisive!). She actually chose the ones I went for in the end - something I wouldn't have usually gone for myself. She was brilliant. The optometrist was so friendly and professional and kind. I really cannot recommend this store and it's staff enough - I will definitely be going here for my future eye tests!

Excellent service here, the staff were extremely professional and explained everything in detail. I was not made to wait very long at all even though I turned up for an eye sight test but was told that I actually needed an eye health test. I had to have my pupils dilated so took that opportunity to take advantage of their free hearing test while I was waiting

Very good service, great staff. Missed my first appointment due to trains, had like 4 back to back, seemed like the crossing down forever. Parking difficult may have to walk, but a friendly professional experience. Also check website, my test was free today.

I've generally always been pleased with Specsavers, but the the Portslade branch have a very warm and friendly way about them. Always greeted with a smile.
My examination was thorough by the optician and the other staff helped me choose my frames honestly.
Nothing to complain about, highly recommended!

Ripped off - again by SpecSavers. GO TO VISION EXPRESS.
I made an appointment here as I had been experiencing minor intermittent occasional pain in my eyes. When I reported this I was immediately told ‘that’s a special test’. I said I wanted a standard test which they said they couldn’t do, I had to have the special one at a cost of £35.99.
I had no option but to agree.
The ‘special’ test consisted of the ‘Intraocular Pressure Test’ (puffer test) whereby the air is puffed onto the eye. Which is all part of the standard eye test. I then had the optician look into my eyes with a microscope. Again, I would have had this as standard with a regular eye test.
The only ‘special’ thing about it, was that all the other tests were missing.
I was then told I had dry eyes and needed three different types of drops. I ended up being talked into one bottle for £12. I asked if I could buy something similar, cheaper, over the counter, but was told I could not.
The pharmacist has since told me there are plenty on sale for around £1.50.
This is the third time SpecSavers has ripped me off.
I have just been into Vision Express and told them exactly the same thing as I told SpecSavers.
No special test required and no selling of expensive bottles of eye drops.

Lots of staff but nobody acknowledges you when you wait at the reception. Overpriced and offers are not great value. Won't be using them again. On a good note the optometrist I saw was very nice.
