I am very disappointed with my first visit to this practice. My 2 year old son was injured at daycare. We brought him to our Pediatrician who referred us to this practice. We met with Dr. Sealey who was condescending and rude. He was with our son for less than 5 minutes. My son has had nursemaids elbow before. We were seeing the same symptoms. We let Dr Sealey know that. His response was, “it’s definitely not nursemaids elbow. I can guarantee you that.” He made us feel dumb and told us to come back in a week. We could tell our son was very uncomfortable. He was in pain! We left. We went to the walk in center where we went the first time when he had nursemaids elbow. Luckily, we saw the same Doctor. He popped it back into place, within minutes, our son was better and fully mobile with his right arm again. I have never dealt with other Doctors at this practice so I am definitely not saying it’s the entire practice. I definitely want to express that we were very disappointed with Dr. Sealey.

On the other hand the billing department has yet to get their stuff together and bill my auto insurance. They continue to try to bill my expired health insurance.

So fast! My appointment was at 10:15. I was back in a room by 10:20. I was waiting for not even three minutes before Dr. DiGiovanni came in. Told him my problem I was having (trigger thumb) and he gave me a cortisone shot. I was out by 10:30!!!! Keeping fingers crossed that the shot works and I do not need surgery ????

Dr. Sealey was indifferent to my concerns. It seemed he wanted to be someplace else. I think the words were "I've do what I can, he's a script for PT." I've seen dozens, if not hundreds, of physicians in my lifetime and Dr. Sealey is the worst.

I made a specific appointment with Dr Ciminiello, M.D. based on a recommendation from another Doctor I used! When I arrived for the appointment, nurses were great but I had a P.A. Peter Ackerman see me instead of the Doctor I made appointment for! This disturbed me greatly !!

I was seen exactly at the time of my appointment, no waiting which I appreciate so much. I was moved quick through the check in process, bandage removal, X-ray department and then on to the surgeon for my post op appointment. Dr. Ciminiello spent as much time with me as needed and kept asking if I was comfortable with the next steps, what to expect and did I have any questions. His assistant was quick and professional in setting up my next appointment and there was none of that ridiculous “his next opening is ___ weeks from now”.
The facility is immaculate, the staff is friendly, respectful and cares about your wellbeing and comfort. I can’t imagine ever going to another practice.

I have seen four of the doctors at Danbury Orthopedics, and the care I have received has been first rate. Dr. Deveney performed knee surgery a year ago, and with the aid of their physical therapy department, I have made a full recovery. I have no reservations about recommending Danbury Orthopedics.

The women ( nurses, techs) were great.
Urgent Care is NOT urgent at all. I waited about an hour and 45 minutes to be seen by a doctor who was not kind or able to talk to me about this sudden onset of insane pain and basically major loss of use ( of that arm).
He actually stated , “ what don’t you understand you are getting older and it’s arthritis!”
Well another hour later and X-rays he stated “ hummm no arthritis I don’t know what’s wrong.
I would never see this particular doctor again.
But all the other doctors I’ve seen with regular appointments have been awesome! Kind! Understanding and able to talk to “ people getting older”.
And Urgent Care... nope I’d go to a real Urgent Care. This UC they fit you in between people with real appointments and that’s why I wound up stuck there close to 3 hours and no diagnosis!

My experience with OrthoConnecticut is and was awesome! Dr. Patel, Patrick, Joanne and all of the front desk staff are wonderful! I had a severe shatter of my humerus requiring surgery - Dr. Patel and team kept me informed and calm. Would recommend them 1000%!!

Docs are good. Esp Southern for Pain Management and Cimminiello for meniscus tears in the knee. Patient Portal is the worst I have out of 4 portals total. The info on the site is for all practical purposes useless

This was my first visit to Ortho Connecticut. I looked on the internet for places that we're open who could do an x-ray at 7pm on a Friday night. When we walked in the door we were greeted by a lovely young lady. She gave me the standard form to fill out. I gave her the form and she said someone would be with us shortly. Maybe 5 minutes later a young man showed us our room and then took me for my x-ray. A couple of minutes after the Dr came in and said he found no breaks and we were on our way. All total we we're there a half an hour. Great place, friendly people, would definitely go again,

I highly recommend OrthoConnecticut and Dr. Patel. I suffer from carpal tunnel and arthritis in my thumb and I recently met with Dr. Patel in their Southbury facility to discuss my symptoms. He explained exactly what to expect for a few days after the injections and I'm happy to say the uncomfortable numbness and pain in my hand has been relieved. Dr. Patel has a great sense of humor and, aside from the injections, I had a pleasant visit.

Dr. Patel is awesome. Straight forward and skilled, I have no idea what I would have done if he could not have found a way to squeeze in my surgery as soon as possible. I had a horrible break and while I have totally had it with the pain, his repair work is astounding.

I am conflicted on this review. First and most importantly , My experience with my Doctor was outstanding. I've seen him several times and it is always a great experience. He is a concerned, competent doctor who doesn't rush through the visit. His assistant is a pleasure to deal with, as well. That said, the receptionist, who is the first point of contact, is the opposite. There was a new person there when I last visited who would not get off of a personal call to attend to the incoming patients and when she did put the phone down to give you her attention, she was very rude. If only they could fix the reception issue, The experience would be wonderful from beginning to end.

Disappointing experience in Nov. 2018. Due to a spine injury, I saw Dr. Paul. Without seeing the doctor and without a clear understanding of the injury, I received an Xray of an area that had not been injured. When Dr. Paul came to the room, I had to strongly self-advocate in order for true listening to occur.

My surgeon, Dr. DePuy, is knowledgeable and takes the time to fully explain the problem, solution and procedure. The medical facilities are also top notch with matching staff. Overall. X -Ray showed Bone (Femur) healing well( Forteo And Bone stimulator working well) As per Dr. Ganal we should be walking with walker as much as possible and to 100% . Though pain exists I should be "Walking through the pain". Knee issues are preventing this progress . Looking to speak with Dr. Ganal about what can be done with the knee issue. Dr. Ganal has been most patient and encouraging for all of my visits for one year now.

Last year I had a hand operation performed by Dr Lunt. It was probably the worst decision I could have made. Before the operation he said that the use of the hand after the wrist operation would be restricted as he was removing one bone in my wrist and fusing the other 4 bones together (carpectomy). He said that it could take up to a year to regain full use. The results are disappointing. My grip strength has decreased by about forty percent and wrist mobility has decreased by about 60 percent. My wrist is constantly swollen and feels as if there's a tight band around the wrist. Needless to say I am extremely disappointed in the results and there was a major disconnect between Dr Lunt and myself as these potential issues were not discussed thoroughly. I can no longer open soft drink bottles or pick items up off the floor or table, because of the extreme limited strength and mobility of the wrist and hand. I am right handed and now I have lost so much strength in my right hand , that my left hand is about 40 % stronger than my dominant right hand. When I asked Dr Lunt about the situation, I get a shrug of the shoulders and no answers.. I have done EXTENSIVE rehab on the wrist and hand and although improved from what it was after the operation, it is nowhere near what I was led to expect. So an operation gone wrong? Good guess. Further discussion with Dr Lunt, he said that there are several ways to fuse the bones together and this is the way he does it. So did he use the wrong method in my case? We'll never know.
So choose the doctor carefully, explore options and methods and get recommendations on both. Dr Lunt has a good reputation but in my case I feel this operation was a failure and the outcome was not what I expected or discussed with him

I've been seeing Dr.Kane for several years and he is no doubt the best chiropractor in world if not the universe! I have seen MANY chiropractors and Dr.Kane is by far the best. He is beyond knowledgeable and he always listens to everything before making an adjustment. Dr.Kane is truly a patient advocate and always has my best interest in mind. He is NOT one of 'those guys' who says "come see me every 3 days until this is fixed".
Dr.Kane recently referred me to Dr.Southern (also at Danbury Ortho) who is also very professional and knowledgeable. Dr Southern made sure to do adequate testing before jumping to any conclusions. The front desk staff (especially Joann) are also amazing. They always answer the phone and are very accommodating with scheduling appointments.
If you're reading this, you're either in pain or bored. I hope you're just bored, but if you are in pain I highly recommend Dr.Kane and Danbury Ortho.

OrthoCT Staff is incredibly helpful, scheduling flexible and everything from imaging to physical therapy in the same location. For busy people who don't like to waste time they move things right along or for those that want to ask a lot of questions, doctors take their time and explain in great detail. OrthoConnecticut makes difficult situations easier! I have a challenging health insurance provider and OrthoConnecticut continues to advise me to navigate getting the coverage/pre-authorization I need to have the procedures for myself and my family. If you haven't tried this team, I suggest giving them a try and you probably won't go anywhere else afterward.
