We were visiting family out of town when my son broke his arm. We went to the Urgent Care Center in Hamden on Whitney. My husband asked if it would be billed as an urgent care visit and he was told it would be. When they billed our insurance company they billed for an office visit instead of an urgent or emergency visit. Our insurance will only cover out of network visits in full if billed as an urgent visit. We have contacted the billing office numerous times via telephone and email and have been told there is no Urgent billing code because it is not “ technically “ an urgent care center. Outside signage and wording on the website both say Urgent care. Connecticut orthopedics has not budged on working with us on this! Now they just ignore our attempts to reach out and just sent us another bill threatening to send it to collections. Very dissatisfied and disappointed in this company!

The billing department has some major issues. There is no reason why we have to get in the middle of errors they make with our health care provider. On the phone for hours fixing their mistakes due to their not sending information. Lousy service.

Prescribed a NSAID when they were specifically told I can’t take them because of being on a thinner. For educated people they forgot how to listen to a patient. My previous history which they had plus I said it to the PA. I would have been pissing blood. As a professional EMT I know basic pharmacology and this cant mix. Go back to school. This is how people end up worse then when they walked in. Even in the short term they should not be prescribed to a blood thinner patient.

I have been trying to call the MRI department and all I get is an answering machine no matter what time of day. This ridiculous and unprofessional.

Dr Diana was very pleasant. He listened to what I had to say and explained the findings on my x-rays thoroughly. He offered the options and typical treatment plan for my problem.

The three stars are for the telephone answering service. Be prepared to wait for awhile for someone to answer the phone. This morning, 3/4/2020, at 9:20 a.m. it took 4 1/2 minutes before someone picked up. The star rating does not apply to medical staff.

I love all of my doctors (Dr. Lynch & Dr. Shia) and their crew here. From day one they have all been very attentive, informative, helpful, caring, and understanding by me being very young with many health conditions & concerns. They have all truly helped me with continuing with my everyday life tasks with a great reduction of pain.

Called to make an appt with Dr. Beiner and after call for two days Lauren finally called back. He was recommended to me by a friend, but after speaking with her, as a new patient I will take my business elsewhere. She was very rude and condensing. I was cut short as I tried to ask questions and she made me feel like it was a problem that I had called the office. He may be good but patients beware , we deserve better !

Excellent patient care on all levels. Dr. McCallum is excellent at what he does and explains what to expect really well. His staff is friendly and competant. Brooke was also very helpful and professional. I go to STAR PT across the parking lot and everyone from the ladies at the desk to the PT staff and helpers have been wonderful.

Do not have a carpal tunnel surgery at their Midstate location in Meriden. There hours before even taken and what was a great experience on the other side at their Branford location has turned into a nightmare this time. Surgery and home within 3 hours at Branford a year ago turned into a 2 1/2 hour wait and still wasn’t taken to the O.R. Awful planning and timing for a 30 minute procedure. No consideration for any inconvenience to the patient. Would never recommend an out patient procedure here!

Doctors are good but the staff is terrible. Those who schedule appointments are rude and the docs secretaries are incompetent. No follow through. Customer service seriously lacking. Also, they've added more doctors which is great, but they need to add another PT facility because after surgery you can never get an appointment.

2nd time visiting the Hamden office and both times I had a god experience. Doctor Kelly and the staff treat you like an old friend and with a great deal of respect. They check you in quickly, get you into your appointment, and you meet with the Doctor quickly. Definitely one of the best run, friendliest Doctors offices I have ever visited

I visited your COS Walk-in center on Saturday morning 10.13.18 with an Extremely painful right foot, ankle, and shin. Upon registration I informed the person supposedly updating my info that I no longer used Apex Pharmacy. However she NEGLECTED to input that change so when the physician prescribed a stronger form of Aleve than I had been taking, it was sent to Apex while I was at Walmart Pharmacy, waiting in extreme pain, for the medication. I called to advise your office while still waiting at Walmart Pharmacy in Hamden but after waiting in PAIN for almost an hour, I couldn’t take the agony any longer and went home. Sunday morning I returned to pick up my meds, only to find out that it still had not been received. Again I returned home. I called the pharmacy later in the day only to find out that a simple non-narcotic med was on hold and couldn’t be filled until speaking with your office, which by that time was closed. Now it is Monday and I am in excruciating pain, driving in the rain to get my meds. Well I cannot because they are now backed up with numerous people ahead of me and because of the negligence of your office worker on Saturday, I have not been able to attain any relief from this pain. It keeps me awake at night, I have to limp on it just to get around and driving is very hazardous because pressing the brake sends a jolt of pain up my entire right leg. Be advised that I will be reporting the negligence of your facility and the dangerous situation that you have put me in due to the lack of your intake staff on Saturday morning 10.13.18 and will also be demanding a review of your participation status with my insurance carrier. I have never had such incompetent medical services in my entire life and you expect payment for this kind of negligence? I will do EVERYTHING in my power to make certain that you do not receive one red cent of my insurance funds!!

I have been going to CT.Orthopedics for several years now and have had at least 5 Specialists examine operate and diagnose various problems like knee surgery, injections in my knee, injections in my back, wrist surgery and the latest my feet. I was recently diagnosed with Peripheral Neuropathy. All the Doctors (Specialist) have been Great. I have been to former Meriden, new place in Wallingford,Hamden and Orange Facilities. Living in Meriden I find it very convenient to get there locally but it also makes it easy to get an appointment sooner when needed. They have taken good care of me.

Waste of time. Don't even bother. They don't tell you who you're seeing - turns out you don't even get to see a doctor at first. Every single time I went in for the pain in my back, they did the same movements and checked the same parts, as if I had never been in there....asked the same questions and literally did NOTHING for me. They prescribed extra strength advil and pain meds....Nothing else. Yeah that's a great idea. Then, they tried to charge me physical therapy copays for ones I never had! And lastly, they sent me to a neurologist who did nothing for me but take my money and waste my time....just like their office. Go to a real doctor. This is a patient factory. They spend their time laughing and joking around while you wait in the room and then have NO clue how to treat you.

Saw Dr. Ferrucci and loved him the first time. Second time he was rude, dismissive and did not listen at all. I would never go back to him.
